Photographer Aaron Hawks began shooting urban landscapes and local scensters during the grunge era at a young age in Seattle, WA. In 1998, he relocated to San Francisco, where he began focusing on set design and experimental film making. Several of his short films have been shown around the world as well as at Stanford University, Berkeley University, and independent theaters. After wining photographer of the year with American Photo Magazine in 2007 for best personal work, he traveled to Berlin where he lived for several months, photographing numerous local perfomance artists in their environments. Aaron has since returned to the United States with a refreshed ambition to create and capture images for the future.
