Manel Kape vs. Takeya Mizugaki - RIZIN.18

Former RIZIN bantamweight champion Manel Kape (17-6) has seemingly found his stride inside the UFC. After dropping his first two fights in the promotion, he’s recovered with two first round finishes. Possibly from taking a step down in competition and from facing more active opponents that were willing to apply pressure. This has me really interested in how he matches up with his next opponent, Brazilian Rogério Bontorin (17-4).

Kape and Bontorin face off at UFC 275 this Saturday (July 11).

Andre Fialho vs James Vick - XMMA 1

Few things bring me more joy in MMA than watching James Vick get brutally knocked out.

Andre Fialho (16-4) is proving the best type of ability is availability. Set to have his fourth fight of 2022 and his 3rd fight in 3 months, Fialho has been a workhorse since signing with the UFC. And it’s produced good results for him as he’s won his last two fights by 1st round (T)KO. That’s the type of thing that gets you good will with the fans. Fialho will face off with Jake Matthews (17-5) at UFC 275 this Saturday (June 11).

Valentina Shevchenko vs Lauren Murphy - UFC 266

Valentina Shevchenko (22-3) continues to be too good for basically anyone the UFC can find to put in front of her. She’s proven too skilled, well-rounded, and athletic for most women at 125lbs+ to manage. So much so that she has tied Ronda Rousey’s record of 6 title defenses for most by a women in the UFC.

Shevchenko will take her shot at lucky number 7 this Saturday (June 11) at UFC 275 when she faces off with Brazilian up and comer Taila Santos (19-1).

Jiri Prochazka vs Dominick Reyes

Jiri Prochazka (28-3-1) is a goddamn wild card. He’s got such a natural feel for fighting despite the chaotic nature by which he attacks his opponents. The former RIZIN Light Heavyweight champion will look to add UFC gold to the cabinet as he is set to challenge UFC LHW champion Glover Teixeira (33-7) in the main event of UFC 275 this Saturday (June 11).
