it is hard to enjoy being aro with other aro people online if you are not white

like the aro poc tag? clogged with ‘positivity’ posts that are repetitive, shallow, and made by whites. the Aro Experience? cant relate to a lot of it. me being a poc, and indigenous specifically, has effected my aro identity beyond belief, and i never wanted to talk about my identity in online spaces because it makes me feel like an animal getting gawked at in the zoo. trying to participate in the aro community? (especially the alloaro community?) you cant do it comfortably. ive blocked so many of the popular aro bloggers due to racism, esp indigenous specific racism, but i still cant do shit w/o seeing them mentioned, without having their mutuals talk abt them, without seeing their memes, their flags, their terms and posts and discussions everywhere. and then theres more, always more racism and microaggressions and a weird sense of alienation and more. it is hard to enjoy being aro with other aro people online if you are not white.

please don’t request a tumblr user who isn’t you. we have no proof that they are ok with it and we don’t want to be a middleman to something malicious! if you want to suggest a friend, please give us physical evidence of them agreeing to it through the submission system, thank you
