Kirari is certain she needs Sayaka..they need each other. Talk about being canon.

bloodorangesangria:

Ch.76 of Kakeguruidropped in both English and JP, yesterday. Rather than spoil the entire thing off the bat, there was so much hype for this chapter that my Discord server, The Cocktail Lounge, glommed onto it immediately. This entry is a nonsensical, fun compilation of reactions to the chapter - because some of them aregolden

People asked where Kirari and Ririka’s mom is, so I may as well share my guess: she died giving birth to twins. This is less “fairy tale” logic and more “there are reasons why twins are considered unlucky and have a poor track record in Japan” logic.

Sumika also said/did things. That made me happy. They really make use of the Election Arc cast in this chapter! Even Rin has an implication, but we’ll get to that in the meta proper.

As the panels imply, these reactions were to the Japanese raw scans. The comments were mostly mine or Zemi’s because of it. Before I get to the English scan, however, someone asked a good question: why is Yumeko in this mess, again? Isn’t her involvement a huge miscalculation?

Maybe not. While the full reasoning is worth a meta (coming soon), here’s what I came up with on the fly:

When the English scan was released, we had even more fun. This condenses the good writing points of not just this chapter, but a lot of Kakegurui, nicely (with a sprinkling of HC).

This actually gives me a little more faith in Yumeko. Please write her with two hands, soon, Kawamoto.

Also, Lee here was so eager for the chapter that I had to take caps:

I think “climbed a tree to read a chapter about albino twins gambling with each other” is some kind of first. Lee wins the fandom - or, well, the chunk of this extremely small fandom on my Discord server.

And now for some from Twitter:

Again, while I encourage people to share the chapter around to discuss it, I also realize that mangaka need to eat. This chapter is absolutely worth the hype, so, if you can, please buy it on Kobo, Amazon, Bookwalker, whatever. Both the artist and author deserve money for possibly the single best chapter of Kakeguruito date. The only way they could kill how good this chapter is would be to not show us the gamble between Kirari and Ririka.

And, if they do that, you read it here, first. Honestly, I hope the author keeps this streak going, because these past two chapters have beendelicious. Please don’t disappoint those of us on the Momobami Hype Train.
