Just a spider lady, thought it could be fun to play with black widow/orb weaver patterns and body types in this creature. I know spiders really creep folks out (myself included), but hopefully this one is just a fun amount of scary

Couldn’t decide if she is a new vampire who isn’t used to eating yet or if she is a very old one who just doesn’t care anymore! Either way she probably shouldn’t have been wearing such a light colored dress at dinnertime

The three Gorgon sisters were Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa. The two eldest sisters were immortal. The youngest, Medusa, was not. The pain the three suffered was unimaginable, but the worst was when three became only two after Perseus took Medusa’s head
Stheno and Euryale tried to killed Perseus in retribution, but could not. Euryale wept and howled for her lost sister. Her bellows could crumble stone and made the earth quake
As a reminder my personal Drawtober is not associated with any particular challenge, even if the most popular one likes to share my work as if it is a part of it. I do this for fun with no themes, no preplanned days. I have been very clear this isn’t a part of any other challenge and I would appreciate if people didn’t tag it or share it as such

You all know how much I love harpies, next to sphinxes they are my favorite mythical human-ish monsters
This year’s harpy is based on a more Russian folklore type harpy: the Alkonost. On the morning of the Apple Feast of the Saviour day the Alkonost flies to an orchard, where she rejoices and laughs. The Alkonost brushes the dew from her wings, giving healing powers to all fruits within the tree that she roosts
This harpy has a more humanoid anatomy compared to some past harpies, she feels more of a combo of a human and bird in posture. I also was inspired by Viktor Vasnetsov’s Birds of Joy and Sorrow (1896) when it comes to how her more human head is attached to her more bird body

So I might be a massive dork who asked her partner to personify herself as a Goblin because that seemed like a fun thing to do.
Eryn came up with a gangly armed nerd who steals clothing and makes weird tech out of garbage. Said tech only works in her hands, to anyone else it would look and function like a bunch of bike parts duct taped to an old broken phone or something.
Obviously I am the dirty naked idiot. I think she can make food or medicine out of random plants that wouldn’t otherwise be medicinal or edible. Like when a little kid smashes a bunch of pinecones and mushrooms in a bowl and tells you it’s soup and you’re supposed to pretend to eat it but when she does it it’s actually somehow become useful?

Studies of a Dunkleosteus / Beetle Lady character I’ve been working on for a while. Honestly just wanted an AU version of one of my favorite TTRPG characters so she can live in my silly worldbuilding project because she’s my favorite and also I love drawing BEEF QUEEN.
Equal space in my heart for fem/titties out monster ladies and as butch as possible monster ladies. Non anthropomorphic abominations are also welcome.
One day I will name her and maybe even draw her with hands and feet.
My signature’s gonna be all over the place for a bit because I keep meaning to redo my watermark and I keep changing my mind.

over on patreon Werejelly asked for some abyssal lifeforms and i found some sketches of my OC Dark that i never cleaned up so i slapped some color on those bad boys.
Dark is a poet, historian, sea witch, and former pirate captain who was captured along with her two husbands (the two moles you see on her side) when she was a young angler fish mermaid and hauled to the surface to be ‘processed’ (receive magical body modification against her will until she was ‘more attractive’ to humans) and sold into the menagerie trade. She has lived in Interesting Times ever since they pulled her out of the ocean and she’s honestly not a fan. After her husbands’ murder she stole a boat and fled to the sea with a few jailbroken mermaid friends and her child. Then there was piracy and Situations and a surprising amount of fire. Now she’s retired.
