I wanted to create the impression of a strong backlight positioned roughly between Silene and Rana and a weaker ambient light in the foreground. Slowly but surely improving at painting with shapes.
I think the drawback of this sort of composition is that all the characters compete to be the focal point. I’m not sure how best to handle that in the future.
