Does anyone have any easy but good bread recipes? And tips?

Every time I try to make bread, it doesn’t cook all the way through and I basically have to double the time in the oven, which will eventually cook the inside but completely hardens the outside crust. Sometimes to the point that it’s hard to bite into. I don’t have a Dutch oven, but I *do* have a loaf pan.

Any ideas, tips, and recipes would be greatly appreciated!

  • As someone else mentioned, covering the dough in tin foil in the oven will help, as will lowering the oven temp + lengthening the time in the oven. This will allow the inside to cook without scorching the outside too fast. Think the opposite of searing a steak, if you have any experience in that direction.
  • You can also place a pan full of water in the oven along with the bread; the steam will help keep the bread moist & keep the crust from getting too tough.
  • When you take it out of the oven, you can immediately (without burning yourself, ofc) turn the loaf out & wrap it up completely in foil. This keeps the moisture inside while the loaf cools, again helping to prevent the outside from hardening too much. (Just remember to turn the bread over now & then, and eventually unwrap it from the foil, so the condensation inside the foil is spread out & doesn’t form soggy spots.)
  • And last but not least, spreading butter on the top crust right when it comes out of the oven will both soften the crust & make it brown & pretty, and ofc yummy! This is meant to allow the butter to soak in, not to be eaten immediately, so allow it to spread out evenly & soak in, and let the bread cool completely before slicing. (butter, margarine, or your choice of yummy oil (like olive oil for italian breads) all work for this method)

Anyway, there’s lots of ways to adjust the hardness of bread crust, and you may have to experiment & see which ways you personally like best. I hope some of this helps! :)

Fun fact, asexuals can be, and even some are, also into kink.

Kink isn’t specifically sex, there are plenty of kink acts that have absolutely nothing sexual in nature about them, in the sense of touching of genitals or even kissing for that matter etc. like in BDSM, people having a whipping session and not much else or even pup play.

Plus, not all asexuals are sex repulsed or even abstain from sex (for example, some might get into romantic relationships cuz they’re not aromantic, and knowing it means something to their partner, will have sex).

Literally I think all but one of the other asexuals I know, including myself, are kinky, and kinkier on average than basically anyone else I know.

Being asexual does not mean hating sex, being celibate, or not wanting sexual or romantic relationships. It means not experiencing sexual attraction. For a lot of people those things go hand in hand, but for a lot of us they don’t.
