Sure, Tartosa has some beautiful sights. I cannot remember a world that was “ugly” with TS4 (besides the very fake cows/sheep cut outs we had in some far sights in other worlds) they do some of a decent job with that.
I’m not sure yet but scrolling through the neighborhood at first arrival its a tat.. empty? Sure, we have the well known stands from previous GP/EP’s thrown in with new designs. To accommodate shopping (no rl shopping ofc) and some basic sim needs. I was a bit surprised to find this lounge right here. I’m sorry but the stands for food should only be used for street food purposes imo. Tartosa is a romantic setting. Why not give it a romantic sea-front restaurant?
Probably because it should not require a other GP but seriously. I’m quite underwhelmed by this world. Most of it is decor dressing. Which should not come as a surprise since we’ve been here before. Im a tiny bit afraid to start the gameplay around marriage and given the bad weather, im thinking of re-locating it to Sulani?
Meeting the unexpected love of your life later in life has mellowed Judith down. She loves her new life with Silas and Tomax. Taking more time to enjoy life instead of her career. For the occassion they decided to hop on their private jet and visit Tartosa!
Judith: Sy! Mommy took you on the jet, whats the fuss? We did not fly coach…
Tomax: He’s just tired, babe. He just needs his nap!

This palace of a house, it takes literally a sim hour to get to the kitchen and upstairs, needed a remodel to fit a nice bedroom for Silas. So one of the guest bedrooms had to be scarified. If you can call it that… with that many rooms XD.
Tomax has certainly brought out the best in her social skills although her neighbor Thorne is kind of a celebrity himself and just as snobby! But hey, she’s taking the effort to go around in the (gated) neighborhood ;)
Tomax: Babe, you should really go and visit the Baileys some time! They seem like nice people and they also have a kid!
Judith: Ahhh! Really? Thorne barely talks to anyone outside of the cul-de-sac how do you know?

Also, the deco books are stackable for the two versions (down/up). For the books down, you simply can put them where you wich and then put others on the same slot, it will stack by itself, or you can put the first one on the floor, put the others on it and then move the hole stack if you select the first one. It works the same for the up books version. (It may sound complicated but it is in fact very simple and you will see it by yourself in game.)

In celebration of the My Wedding Stories pack I thought it would be fun to showcase some of my old creations that I think would work well for wedding attire!

My Wedding Stories is now available for everyone, so I will give it another try. I have a clean Sims 4 folder and created a new save (but I will use some of my gallery sims), let’s see how it goes! Will it work better than last week?
Spoiler : nope.
The day before, I planned my event (I will do it in the same house used in the livestream), filled all the role, baked and selected a cake, and bought flowers. The day of the wedding, no one respects the dress code I chose (everyone is in casual clothes).
I try to make a speech first, using the interaction from the Ceremony Activities menu to gather my guests, but only three of them come (and they talk together instead of listening). The interaction doesn’t interrupt the discussion the other ones have in front of the house.
At last, the sims sit when I ask them too, even if they still play musical chairs, and some decided to dance or do push-ups in the aisle. And once again, they talk together… which is fine for now, but will be a problem later on.
My Flower Pal and Sims of Honor keep talking when I ask them to move down the aisle. At last, my Ring Bearer and my Bride and Groom do what they are told.
The officiant I chose refused to leave her chair when I asked her to perform the ceremony, but at least my sims don’t exchange their rings several times (as they did in the version we had before), and some of the guests react (the others… talk).
The interaction to throw rice at the bride and groom works, as does the bouquet toss, although my sims had trouble finding a location with enough space to do it (you have to choose the sims you want to throw it to, which was easy in my case, as only one came!).
My groom then made a toast, alone, with his back to the guests, too absorbed in their discussion. Even if you use interaction to gather them several times, it doesn’t work, it should have a much higher priority and interrupt the guests.
For some reason, the cake I chose was nowhere to be found, and I could not make it spawn by clicking on an empty table. So I created a new one and the interaction to cut the cake, as well as the one to give a slice to your spouse, works now.
Same thing for the first dance, this time it worked and some guests even watched (which is a small victory). All the objectives were met at that time, but I had to end the event myself hours later (a whole day after it started). No reward, or even notification at the end.
And that’s all. Even if some bugs have been fixed, it’s still too tedious for me, you have to micro-manage everything, and the interactions to do so often don’t work properly. Most of the time, the other sims don’t react to what is happening, it doesn’t feel natural.
I’m not even sure if all these bugs can be fixed: maybe game is simply too limited to handle complex events. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this Gamepack. But if you buy it anyway (maybe for Tartosa, or the new assets), I hope you will enjoy it, sincerely.
