I can’t stop smiling! This 1898, 29-second silent film, titled Something Good-Negro Kiss is deemed to be the earliest depiction of Black Love on film by film scholars at The University of Chicago and The University of Southern California. No stereotypes or racist caricatures here…just black folk showing genuine affection. The actors are identified as Saint Suttle and Gertie Brown. The clip was recently added to the @librarycongress Film Registry.
