A Picnic at Oasis Gorge

Near mile marker 234 where the unfinished Desert Highway meets Old Route 44 just outside of Oasis Springs you’ll find Rest Area OS-420 overlooking Oasis Gorge. It’s a popular stopping point for folks traveling to far flung destinations like Windenburg or Henford on Bagley. Many passing through like to stop here for a picnic or to use the amenities while planning the next leg of their road trip.

This is my entry for @Sim_Michele’smonthly build challenge which this month was a road trip theme. You can find the #smchallenge31 here. It was a fun little build that tells a story with it’s visuals. (click on images for hi-res version)

You can find A Picnic at Oasis Gorge in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  This NoCC National Park sits on the 50x50 lot where the current Oasis Springs park exists. As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game.  I hope you have a lot of fun picnicking, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors in this park.
