TOUHOU SEIRENSEN - UNDEFINED FANTASTIC OBJECT
10th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!
Nine years ago, on August 15th 2009, the 12th iteration of Touhou Project, “Undefined Fantastic Object”, was released during Comiket 76. Today marks the 10th birthday of this game, and I wanted to pay hommage to my favourite game of the whole series!
I’m not going to write a big lengthy paragraph on why this game matters to me, else we’ll have the whole day. But, in summary, I’m really fond of the nervous and strategic (and quite frustrating) gameplay, the easygoing story and dialogues with the 3 main protagonists and their 2 motivations each, the LOVEABLE cast of characters, who is a full team from Stage 1 to Stage Ex, and the GORGEOUS soundtrack (Sky Ruin, Captain Murasa, Fires of Hokkai, Cosmic Mind, and Heian Alien especially!).
I’m really looking forward to an eventual rerelease of the game on Steam and I hope to own it physically one day!
