NEW PLEASANTVIEW - World + Unpopulated Save File

- New Pleasantview is a small town I’ve been ‘working on’ for about a year. I had already made a version back in 2015 so I based this one on the same map. It’s quite different though, with more of a West Coast/Californian/San Francisco spin on it. Because of that it might not be the best suited world to play with a snowy winter season.

- I’ve done a few recolors for the world. They replace the existing images in paintings, pictures and signs of the game either with ones taken from the Sims 2, or ones I composed with images from the game or hidden ones by EA.

When not already placed on a lot, some of these images will be hidden so you won’t be able to change to them unless you have the CC file installed = a merged .package of all the 'recolors’ I’ve made for New Pleasantview . If you use it in that world you can remove it once you’ve placed the picture you wanted to use, the picture will remain. - Finally many thanks to @lilidebergerac,@doka-chan,@zawera,@xiasimla,@nornitiesfor checking the files, and also taking the time to playtest some of the lots. Hopefully I have corrected the main issues they uncovered. There is one though, I still don’t know why it’s not working properly (if anyone has any ideas): It’s Pleasant Beach, weirdly on that lot you cannot use the 'relax here’ option from Island Paradise though it works when the towel is already on the ground (see image below).

I’ve tried several things (removing items among them) to no avail. If I find what’s wrong, I’ll try to have it fixed for the next save (the populated version of the world).

B'jour! Hi! Just wanted to know if a few people would be up to kind of play test New Pleasantview world file + a non populated save before I share them here.

It would be to check if both files work fine on other computers than mine.

There should not be any big issues, @lilidebergerac very nicely playtested an earlier version in July (merci Lili!! ) . And I’ve only made a couple of minor changes since then.

World file has a few builds but still is ¾ empty, the save file is not populated and was just to be able to place the heavily furnished buildings in game (CAW didn’t like that, nooope ^^ )

It’s mosty to know if both files load correctly, and maybe also check if the game in the save file starts good. I’ve ‘played’ a sim-hour there to rearrange a few things that get misplaced when you place lots in edit town (mailboxes, reception desk of the resort…)

NEW PLEASANTVIEW - CC-Free KITCHENS

Sorry I’m not much not at all on Tumblr, I’m still very much spending my free time working on New Pleasantview. The community lots are mostly done (still a bit of tinkering to do on some of them) so I’m focusing on decorating the houses. One of my favorite room to decorate in the game are kitchens (I love decorating bathrooms too… sounds a bit weird but you can go crazy with bathrooms it’s super fun ^^ )

For this version of the town (the will-be-downloadable one) I’m keeping them CC-free but I’m still using Stuff Pack and Store items.

The first three (the Goth’s , Jocque’s and Pleasant’s) I had previously made with CC for my first version of Pleasantview in the Sims 3 - see that post-

The other seven kitchens don’t have a CC version… I’m just, waiting for the CC-free world to be done and released then I’ll splurge ;-P

I needed a caravan for New Pleasantview but of course when I start something I’m excited about I’m going to build more than one version ^^ .

So I built 3, I did build them on a smaller lot (10x10) elsewhere so I could put them for download if anyone is interested.

New Pleasantview - The Drooling Squid Water Park

The Drooling Squid Water Park - 40x50 (swimming-pool)

Swimming pool for my WIP world New Pleasantview. Using all EPs (except ITF, don’t have it) and at least Town Life and Outdoor Living for the SPs.

CC-free except for 3 recolors: 2 Showtime posters, + 1 Supernatural Sign - to place in your mods folder (no new item, the original images will be replaced by the recolored ones)

Store items:fountain + porthole/window from Barnacle Bay,Public Shower,Outdoor Shower,changing Station,Baby swing,corkboard,plants from Sunlit Tides ,Octavian…

I use markers on my lots: skip level, hidden room, public room… So to be able to modify any of these builds you need to have cheats on: ‘testingcheatsenabled true’ then ‘restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false’. To see/remove the markers you need ‘buydebug on’
