Two exceedingly handsome fellows pose for a souvenir photograph to mark their trip to the ever-impressive Niagara Falls, circa 1890. Though probably close enough to the real falls to hear the water’s rumble as their image was captured on camera, what we see here is in fact a painted backdrop in the photographer’s studio - I wonder if they owned up to this bit of trickery when proudly showing their holiday pictures to their pals back home!
