The upcoming Jurassic World 3 dromaeosaur is such a prime example of how to not make a feathered dinosaur depiction, it even has the parrot colours that Mette depicted in this parody image back in 2014, before the first Jurassic World movie came out

You see this is why i was scared of JW trying to do feathered dinosaurs.
We all knew that if they did, it’d be half assed, despite proper, full feathering being largely possible with our modern special effects technology, and how much money this movie is working with.
This shit is legit somehow looking more lazy and absurd than ARK’s ridiculous Deinonychus, and that’s saying a lot.
I feel like this is either just lazy, or a straight up malicious attempt at shoving paleontology further down the basement by basically saying “look, general public ! we made the feathered dinosaur, look how stupid it looks ! Now hate that !”, and from Trevorrow, i honestly feel either way or both are equally as likely.
I am grateful for the pretend accuracy of franchises such as the Isle and PK for teaching me the important lesson that there is in fact something worse out there than JP bootlegging.

Whining about every changes made to old franchises
Treating your generation as the holy grail and “everything else is garbage”
Denying Scientific Facts (Ex: hostility towards feathered dinosaurs)
Being misogynistic (Ex: Any case of whining about female characters getting less sexualized redesigns)
Being a racist (Ex: That recent Little Mermaid drama)
Being a bigot in general (Ex: Whining about queer characters being added in old franchises)
Overall being an asshole
Quit feeling entitled to ruining other people’s childhood and lives just so you can keep acting like an upset toddler.
Stop using nostalgia as an excuse to validate yourself while being a jerk.
Just pull your head out of the deep depths of your colon and Grow Up.
There was recently a fossilized dino skin or skin imprint found tho so not all dinos had feathers. At least not all over.
Read something about the latest trex thought was it had some kind of feather mullet. Haha
Please do not derail the point of my post.
The post was not just about paleontology, but about several other issues, some of them relating to bigotry, which physically affects people every single day. The fact that you saw this post and only thought “but not all dinosaurs have feathers” just shows that you have completly missed (or ignored) the point.
Nowhere does it even say that all dinosaurs have feathers, it only said that feathered dinosaurs exist, literally all you’re doing by bringing up that subject is deviating from the original message, which is that butthurt entitled nostalgia people should quiet down and die mad if they won’t grow up, instead of openly denying scence and basic human rights as soon as the media doesn’t pander to them quite as much anymore. Some dinosaurs having feathers or not is ultimately irreleavent to the message itself, and was only used as an example of a scientific fact that people chose to deny regularly.
