Someone i know only peripherally messaged me a couple of days ago because he had watched a documentary about Pompeji and wondered if it was entirely historically accurate that a tsunami also hit the city during the catastrophe?

I hardly know the guy and tbh we haven’t really had any classes on the destruction of Pompeji - when we discuss the city it’s usually stuff like “this one statue from this one house has a neat element”, so i just let him know i wasnt entirely sure and he should Google it.

Come to find out i read his message wrong and it wasn’t a documentary he’d been watching, but the movie. The Hollywood bluckbuster. Staring Kit Harrington as sexy gladiator. And he was asking about HISTORICAL ACCURACY??????
