#not sailor moon

This music video might have something to do with the manga I’m translating :3

This is non-Sailor Moon related, but I figured you guys would have a good opinion on this anyway since most of you are probably avid manga readers.

So I’m considering picking up a manga to translate, one I like a lot but has basically no fans (probably because it’s a little retro, started back in 1992, and still isn’t fully translated).

But here’s my dilemma: It has over 40 chapters done already which is about 70% of the way through.  However, a lot of the chapters are really bad.  Like, translated through Chinese or Korean first with stilted English and weird grammar.

The raws I found are in Chinese (not great quality in the beginning, but better as it goes) but I have the original books on hand for actual translating.

So the question is: Should I start at the beginning for consistency and sweeping up the old stuff, or should I pick up where the others left off and only go back once I’ve gotten all the way through?
