In #socal we don’t get seasons, so we never really say good bye to summer. For me, summer is my lost love. I know it will quietly slip away and I’ll be left cold and a little empty, just like the remembered touch of a long lost lover. I’ll look forward to the warm embrace while I slip layer after layer over myself, creating a barrier against the cold outside. While I know Summer is always going to return, and I try my best to focus on winter sports, my desire for the sun never leaves. So instead of a good bye I’ll say, Until we meet again, my love.

17 years ago, I met a photographer who effectively changed my life. He didn’t get me any huge gigs or make me famous. He took pictures (on film!) and taught me how to work together to get the end result you both imagine. Swipe left for his image. ❤️

Because of that, I eventually ended up in front of @benny_haddad camera and my life changed in ways I couldn’t have predicted.

The first image comes from my very first time shooting with a women photographer! Crazy right? It made me nervous to do something a little out of my comfort zone (aka not naked or climbing ) but @lovemarisaq managed to ease that with one of her big beautiful smiles!

All this said, I just want to thank the photographers out there. Thank you to the artists that capture the fleeting beauty in our world without enough appreciation. And thank you @lovemarisaq for being my very first female photographer!
