No One Says “Don’t Kiss and Tell” Anymore
Tomoyo flopped back onto her bed, flipping through TikTok, a sadly too-often pastime when she was alone and bored. Her roommate and best friend, Keiji, was still at work, and Shingen, unsurprisingly, had a date. The trio had been inseparable since they were kids and had been living in the same three-bedroom apartment for two years. They were comfortable with each other, took turns on who cooked, cleaned, and did the shopping (except Shingen, because dear gods, sending him for groceries always ended up with him buying more sweets than meals).
It worked for them.
Tomoyo’s attention was pulled from some girl singing by a text from Shingen. It was, ironically, a TikTok link.
Shingen: Wwx.tiktok.com/bestfriendkissprank – You should try this to Keiji and record it.
Tomoyo laughed and clicked the link. The video showed a girl place her phone against something that held its place, and a few moments later, the girl kissed her best friend. After the initial surprise, the two laughed and she pointed out the camera that had caught the exchange on video. Tomoyo laughed and watched it twice more.
Tomoyo: You think so? Keiji should be home in an hour. Maybe we’ll be TikTok famous! xD
Shingen: Perhaps. Make sure to send me the video!
Tomoyo: Your date must be very boring.
Shingen: If by boring you mean I’m in the arms of a beautfiul goddess, then sure.
