I’m really proud of myself for the progress I’m making in Kate Winchester’s fic. I just finished a draft for Chapter 3, I’m almost at the end of season 3 in my planning rewatch, and I’ve started developing some plans for the end of her story. When your hyperfixation and muse jump around as often as mine do, you learn to embrace the small victories
Me: I want to rewrite Supernatural for Kate’s fic and make it better post-s5 because some of those later seasons were a joke
My brain: That requires you to rewatch those seasons for the first time in 7 years to see what you wanna keep and what you can get rid of, you know that, right?

This is also made worse by the fact that I’m usually a stickler for canon in fics and absolutely hate changing canon most of the time unless it’s done really well

Older sibling response is weird like i want to make sure you’ve eaten, i DO want to bully you, i want to protect you, i want to fireman carry and body slam u on the couch and tell u to go to bed, i want to make up bullshit lies about how things work and see how long u believe it, i would kill for you, ur gross, u will forever be an infant to me, stop touching my stuff, chill out ur like 10, im proud of you, etc etc im sorry that even tho i was the test run the adults found New and Interesting ways to fuck up with you
The problem with working on Kate Winchester’s fic is that I wanna jump straight into the show because I have Ideas™️ but I know I have to lay the pre-show groundwork first so everything else will make sense but the pre-show groundwork is so hard to write
