From the creators of a literal pissing contest on screen and stabbing as metaphor for sex, the next big hit:

Ed is whipped.

We know, Ed, we know.

He’s actually asking for it and yelps when it hurts….

Ugh… Well.. how do I say this? I probably shouldn’t at all but… I need to get it out of my system so:

You know how cute and pretty Aziraphale is, right? After obsessing about ofmd for a while now, watching Stede’s very characteristic face and all, I think he became even more sweet, beautiful and delicate to me. What is this sorcery?

Michael Sheen’s face is even more precious to me now and I’m absolutely not over how different it can look, simply through his acting skills alone.

Rhys Darby is so much fun and I like him a lot but sometimes I wish he would have played things more seriously and less like a caricature of a person. Despite all the comedy Taika, Michael and David play their parts mostly seriously with the occasional exaggeration for comedic effect, Rhys does it most of the time and that makes it harder for me to connect on a deeper level with his character. It seems like a huge contrast to Taika’s extremely nuanced acting, using his eyes, voice and body language in very efficient ways. When Rhys plays it straight he gets right to my heart and takes it (gently) and I’d love to see more of that.

Can I just say that the show is amazing when it comes to parallels?

The one I’m stuck on right now being “pets”.

Ed is supposed to kill Stede because IZZY TOLD HIM (that is a topic on its own but I won’t get into that) he became a pet and thus he needs to let go of him. In the end Edward/The Kraken realised (wrongly) that he became the pet and let’s go of “Bonnet’s playthings”, including Ed.

Also of course the Bird Guy thing in episode 4. Yes, Karl is not a pet but at this point, Edward doesn’t know that. So, he asks “why don’t we have a bird guy”, completely forgetting is own rule of No Pets.
