Summary:

Flash forward ten years after the Darkling is defeated. Featuring: An anniversary at the palace. Nikolai is being Nikolai. Zoya is scowling. Genya is planning events, while David barely notices that any of them have come to visit (though he takes the time to gaze at Genya like he’s just discovered the moon).
Mal and Alina look on with equal expressions of fondness.
All is well. That is, until they’re taken hostage.
