Pippin and Austin

A completely self-indulgent doodle of some of my old high school OCs. Pippin is a mermaid, on the run from her queen, and stranded on land with more complications than just learning how to walk. Austin is a prince with absolutely no desire to do anything but sail the world and live his life his own way.

I swear these ocs were long before To Kill a Kingdom was a book that existed, but it is definitely responsible for these characters making their resurgence! Definitely recommend it if you want a fun fantasy with a great romance, and cool mermaids.

[I found some old art in a binder I keep around and I found a “concept sheet” for these two so I decided to redesign them I guess??
There’s Rylee on the left, and he was supposed to be some sort of test tube baby experiment or something??? idk I don’t remember much about him.
and Dax was supposed to be like a really apathetic TinTin new detective who’s on his first murder case.
