A note from Lucy: I wanted to write something as a birthday treat to myself. A bit late as it was yesterday but oh well. I’ve had these little poetry notes saved up for a while now and I wanted to add to the ever growing collection. I hope you like them!
I fell in love with the way you live. Not just what you do but how you do It too. Mundane to you? Beauty to me. A pure beauty that no one can replicate. Because then it would lose its naturality.

I feel as though I’m suffocating inside myself. Either your love is invading my lungs or my heart is swelling too much with affection for them to cope. Either way, I’m still left breathless. Can you bare that weight?

One lifetime couldn’t even dream of quantifying this love. Please seek me out again. In the afterlife or another. I’m yours for the taking, my dear.

Comparing thee to a summer’s day? I shall not compare you to anything. One, because a summer’s day shall come to an end ( that I shan’t dare to wish that upon you), and two,it has been seen before. And you cannot have been seen before, for you are an extraordinary person.

Shallow love means very little to me. I value the messy parts. Whatever is in your mind, lay it on my chest and I will take the weight of the burden. You can be at rest. I shall forever chase those pretty little thoughts.

One shall define perfect in many ways. The truth is, our silly little words are games in the way of the universe. They are held to our tongues and then spat, or spoken softly. And only to our comprehension are they made meaningful. Perfection is more than just a word to me. It is you in every sense of being and extacy.
