kinda wish they kept up the “i cant stop crime but i can control it” thing with jason bc it woulda been fun to have him as like. a villain but also hes not. an anti-hero but not some lone wolf punisher but basically the most affable crime boss ever. it coulda been sooooo fun. and give him some D-list anti-heroes/heroes and villians to be friends with bc the other villains dont like listening to him lol
Like, he knows you can’t stop drug addiction but destroying the drug trade, so he’d just make it safer–no lacing things with stuff, no threatening ppl over drug debts, no selling to kids if possible, that kinda stuff–and like yknow other organized crime shit but also he might murder a rly shitty person here and there lol… but with the rest of the people under him he manages to be both super chill and super threatening and no one is sure what to do around him hhgf
plus could u imagine being so lowlevel drug runner or something in the mafia and ur boss gets told off by batman? not even like beaten up just a ‘im disappointed in you’ while ur boss mimes batman talking with his hand. that would be so fucking funny.
Literally just. He can have a frenemies relationship with everyone that u can milk for drama and comedy plus like some cool ocs or deep cuts for him to hang out with but also o think this is the best approach to having a different ideology on how to handle crime in gotham compared to how Bruce does other than killing/no killing–trying to control it and mitigate harm (whilst killing when necessary) instead of just fighting it or hoping for redemption yknow
Also keep it all street level mostly; i can see him thinking Bruce and the others r too caught up in big world shattering events to have time to even deal with the type of crime he has his fingers in
I figure hed develop an uneasy truce witj the batfam–they wouldnt go out of their way to stop him but if he ends up in their radar.. (Bruce also says he wont defend jay from the police bit hes lyin)
