  • The Order of the Stick is an ongoing D&D webcomic that I’ve been reading for years. It - let’s be honest - doesn’t get good until about 100 pages in, but after that point it starts to mature into a fun, wordy, trope-heavy dramedy that you’ll enjoy if you like worldbuilding, tabletop RPGs, and generally competent characters.
  • Paranatural is a supernatural middle-school shonenlike that you’ve probably seen around. The art is excellent - holy hell, can Morrison draw expressions - and it’s got a really sweet power system, based around drawing power from ghosts and other spirits.
Something to note - due to wrist issues, the author has recently changed Paranatural’s format to something more resembling an illustrated novel than a webcomic.
  • Seed - I need to catch up on it, actually - is this fun, cyberpunky story about a recently awakened AI.
What I really like about this one is that a lot of effort is put into making the AI behave realistically. It doeshave a ‘personality’, but the inhuman way it ‘thinks’ isn’t shied away from, and is, in fact, a central plot point. It’s not perfect, but it does AI more authentically than any other depiction I can think of. Clocking in at about 100 updates so far, it’s still ongoing.

I’ve mostly stopped reading any webcomics during this project, so I haven’t picked up any new ones in ages!
