Chapter Index

Game Master: Dawn has come.

Game Master: The wolves struck last
night, leaving behind one victim.

- - - -

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:Ah…

Haruka Isumi: Izumi’s brother is gone..!

Game Master: Two villagers and two
wolves remain.

Haruka Isumi: Izumi and Kujo-san were
the wolves..!!!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Aw, darn..!

Tenn Kujo: We’ll be attacking you
next, if you don’t mind.

Iori Izumi: What a feast it’ll be.

Game Master: The wolves have won!
Congratulations!

Iori & Tenn: Thank you.

Iori Izumi: We did it, Yotsuba-san!

Tenn Kujo: We couldn’t have done it
without you, Momo-san. Thank you!

Haruka Isumi: Aaah!!! We lost…
My bad, Toma…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Sorry, Gaku,
everyone..! We were so close, too..!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Still, I have to
admit you two did great!

Haruka Isumi: I actually…

Tenn Kujo: You trusted me quite
a bit, didn’t you?

Haruka Isumi: Yeah…

Tenn Kujo:Heh.

Haruka Isumi: Uugh! I’m so mad
right now!!!

Iori Izumi: This was a very exhausting
game to start the year with, but it
was fun.

Tenn Kujo: Yeah. I guess we should
head over to the graveyard with the
others now.

- - - -

[Creak]

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Iori Izumi: Oh… The graveyard is
actually a very nice place!

Haruka Isumi: We worked so hard, when
we could’ve just died early and gone
straight to heaven!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’m just glad no one
had to stand outside in the cold!

Tenn Kujo: Happy New Year!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Audience:Happy New Year!!!

Audience:Attack me too, Tenn-kun!

Tenn Kujo: Grr!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo:Great job, guys! C'mere!

Yamato Nikaido: Hey Kujo, guess what!
Yaotome was protecting you!

Tenn Kujo: No way. I didn’t think
you’d pull off such a cute stunt
so early in the year.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Haruka Isumi: Sorry, Toma..! I…

Toma Inumaru: Don’t sweat it, Haru!
I just got here, myself. Look, there’s
cake.

Haruka Isumi:Awesome..!

Torao Mido: You did great.

Minami Natsume: Well done, both of you.

Toma Inumaru: Mina, there’s inari sushi,
too. Why don’t you have some?

Minami Natsume: Hee hee, perhaps
I should.

Iori Izumi: Well played, Nii-san.
I’m sorry for killing you.

Mitsuki Izumi: I did suspect you for
a minute there! Next time, I’ll follow
my gut!

Iori Izumi: You were a frightening
opponent. I wanted to get rid of you
quickly.

Mitsuki Izumi: Ahaha! Don’t say
stuff like that! I guess you really were
the biggest wolf out of all of us!

Riku Nanase: Nice job! We might
get to do this again sometime!

Iori Izumi: Nanase-san. I must say,
you were very helpful to us wolves.

Riku Nanase: What’s that supposed
to mean..!?

Yamato Nikaido: Yeah, seriously!
What were those little plays you made
us put on about!?

Riku Nanase: I thought it was funny
to see you try and convince Ryuko.

Nagi Rokuya: I would have liked
to live longer!

Iori Izumi: You were too skilled to
keep around… Especially with a hindrance
like Yotsuba-san on our side.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I wasn’t a hindrance!

Iori Izumi: Yes you were! You announced
that you’re a wolf on the first day!

Sogo Osaka: And I’m still the one who
got executed first…

Iori Izumi: That was because I swayed
the vote, with the help of Momo-san. In
any other instance, Yotsuba-san would’ve
been the first to go.

Sogo Osaka: Right… That’s good to hear.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Well at least you’re
not mad anymore…

Tenn Kujo: You really had me on edge
back there, Ryu. I didn’t think you’d
notice my identity so quickly.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I had a hunch
for a while. What about you, Gaku?

Gaku Yaotome: I was too busy thinking
about who to protect to make any
guesses.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Right, I bet
playing as the hunter is a lot harder
because of all the stuff you have to
keep in mind!

Gaku Yaotome: I wouldn’t say the
wolves had it easy, either.

Tenn Kujo: Iori Izumi was a reliable
ally, and Momo-san helped a ton.

Momo:I’m glad our game turned out so
exciting! Let’s do this again with the
people from our agency!

Yuki:We can even set up a dinner
party like this afterwards.

Yuki: But I don’t want to hear
you fawn over the wolves ever again.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo: Oh, Yuki! There’s no need to get
all jealous! What game should we play
then, if not werewolf?

Yuki:We’ll play a game called
“Re:vale”.

Momo: So this time, it’s Re:vale
trying to hunt and kill Re:vale?
That’s pretty deep.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo:Time’s really flown by, because
it’s about time for us to wrap things up!

Momo: We’ve got a little present for
everyone who participated in the game
today!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Wow! There’s big boxes,
medium boxes, and small boxes!

Momo:Grab whichever you want!

Tamaki Yotsuba: I want a big one!

Haruka Isumi: When it comes to stuff
like this, the smaller ones are always
better. I want a small box.

Momo:You’ll have plenty of time to
choose later! Now let’s all get in line
for some last minute New Year’s wishes!

Riku Nanase: We’re all making
one big line?

Tenn Kujo: I think we’ve got too many
people for that. We’ll need at least two lines.

Yuki:Ready, guys?

Toma Inumaru: We’re good!

Momo:Okay, one more time!
Yuki, take the lead!

Yuki:What was I supposed to
say, again?

Momo:Wish them a happy New Year!

Yuki:Oh, right.

Yuki:Happy New Year.
I wish you all…

All: A fun time!!!

The End.

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 14: Who Are the Wolves? ~Day 6~

Chapter Index

Game Master: Dawn has come.

- - - -

Toma Inumaru: Hah…

Haruka Isumi: …I’m alive…

Mitsuki Izumi: Who’s…

Game Master: The wolves struck last
night, leaving behind one victim.

Iori Izumi: Nanase-san..!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: They got Riku-kun..!

- - - -

Riku Nanase: Ah… I knew
I’d get attacked…

Riku Nanase: But I did my best!
I wonder who the wolves were…

[Creak…]

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Riku Nanase: Ah..!

Audience:Riku!

Audience:Rikkun!

Riku Nanase: Wow! Everyone’s here!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yamato Nikaido: Well done, Riku.

Gaku Yaotome: Great job out there,
Nanase.

Riku Nanase: Ah! Mr. Hunter!
Thank you for protecting me..!
So, who were the wolves?

Yamato Nikaido: Who do you think?

Riku Nanase:………
You and Toma-san..?

Yamato Nikaido:Hey!!!
The correct answer would’ve been
Ichi and Kujo.

Riku Nanase: No way..!

Yamato Nikaido: You trusted them,
didn’t you?

Riku Nanase: I did..! Tamaki,
is that true!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Totally.

Riku Nanase: Oh, geez…

Momo: Riku! Today’s also the villagers’
final day to survive!

Riku Nanase: The final day!? Already!?

Riku Nanase: Are they going to be okay..!?

- - - -

Toma Inumaru: Great job, Riku!
We’ll win this game for you!

Mitsuki Izumi: Kujo’s going on the
chopping block today, right?

Tenn Kujo: Wait.

Mitsuki Izumi: What for?

Tenn Kujo: I won’t oppose my execution,
but you should really hear the results of
my fortune first.

Haruka Isumi: What are your results?

Tenn Kujo: Is it okay if I tell you
now?

Toma Inumaru: Sure. It’s not like we
gotta worry about timing anymore.

Tenn Kujo: ……..

Tenn Kujo: Toma Inumaru is a wolf.

Toma Inumaru: What..!?

Haruka Isumi: Seriously..!?

Mitsuki Izumi: Huh..!?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:………

Toma Inumaru: Wait, hold on!!!
I get it now… Kujo’s a wolf.

Tenn Kujo: I’m the real fortune-teller.
And luckily enough, I found the last wolf.
Now I can die without regrets.

Tenn Kujo: Go ahead and execute me.

Mitsuki Izumi: His confidence seems
pretty authentic…

Iori Izumi: It does…

Haruka Isumi: …If Kujo-san’s the
real one, then do we really need
to execute him?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …We’re supposed to
execute all fortune-tellers, remember?

Haruka Isumi: Yeah, but… If we can
end the game by executing Toma instead,
we’ll be done faster.

Toma Inumaru: What!? No…

Haruka Isumi: If we execute Toma and
the game doesn’t end, then Kujo-san’s
a wolf.

Haruka Isumi: We can take care of
him the next day.

Mitsuki Izumi: I, guess..?
Maybe we can..?

Toma Inumaru: No, hold on! I’m not
a wolf! You should execute Kujo first.

Haruka Isumi: Minami said he wasn’t
the fox, too.

Toma Inumaru: Haru! I’m not lying!
Is there any reason why you’re so
suspicious of me?

Haruka Isumi: Not really… But,
he said you’re a wolf.

Toma Inumaru: Yuki-san got falsely
accused too, remember? And then he
turned out to be a villager.

Haruka Isumi: …So are you saying
Kujo-san’s a wolf?

Tenn Kujo: Inumaru-san’s’s the wolf.
He and Nikaido-san were working
together.

Haruka Isumi: ………
Is that true?

Toma Inumaru: No, obviously! Kujo’s
the wolf. Just look at his fortune
results and you’ll see…

Toma Inumaru: That he’s in cahoots
with Tsunashi-san!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Huh!?

Toma Inumaru: You’re the only
person Kujo claimed as a villager
who’s still alive.

Mitsuki Izumi: Is it really you,
Tsunashi-san!?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: No, I’m not a wolf.
Toma-kun’s got it all wrong.

Toma Inumaru: What’s that supposed
to mean?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’ve been suspecting
that Tenn might be a wolf, myself…

Tenn Kujo: …What..? That’s kind of a
shock, coming from one of my own teammates.

Mitsuki Izumi: No, he’s the real deal!

Haruka Isumi: Don’t suspect the poor
guy! He’s in your group and everything!

Toma Inumaru: And what am I, Haru!?
Chopped liver!?

Haruka Isumi: Oh yeah, I guess
you’re in MY group.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: It’s just…
That’s exactly why I think he’s a wolf.
It’s a bit hard for me to explain…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Ah…
I really don’t know how to put this.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’m not sure any of
you outside of TRIGGER would even get it.

Mitsuki & Haruka: What!?

Tenn Kujo: …Haha…

Tenn Kujo: What are you saying, Ryu?
You’re just confusing everyone.

- - - -

Riku Nanase: What’s he talking about!?
Do you know, Yaotome-san!?

Gaku Yaotome: Yeah, I do.

Riku Nanase: Huuuh!?

Sogo Osaka: So cool…

Tamaki Yotsuba: He hasn’t even
said anything yet!

Sogo Osaka: So what does he
mean, exactly?

Gaku Yaotome: Well, uh…
It’s kinda hard to explain…

Gaku Yaotome: Tenn’s just like that.

Riku Nanase: Like what?

Yamato Nikaido: I guess it literally
is hard for them to explain…

Gaku Yaotome: Yeah. Uh…

Momo:No, I think I get it!

Gaku Yaotome: Momo-san?

Momo:Tenn, or TRIGGER in general, don’t
tend to let it show when they’re hurt.

Momo:When they do, it’s usually
an act. Ryu probably caught on to that.

Sogo Osaka: Ah…

Torao Mido: So that’s what he meant…

Gaku Yaotome: Yeah, pretty much.

Audience:Ah…

[Applause]

Tamaki Yotsuba: Everybody’s clapping…

Minami Natsume: I can see why.

Gaku Yaotome: Haha. Thanks, guys.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Riku Nanase: I see… So that’s why
Te… Kujo-san looks a little bit happy.

Riku Nanase: He’s in trouble, but he’s
having fun. It’s a little unfair…

Gaku Yaotome: You should be happy
for us, y'know.

Riku Nanase:Right.

Gaku Yaotome: Haha, quit pouting already.
I protected you too, didn’t I?

Riku Nanase: That’s true.
You’re the best, Yaotome-san!

Gaku Yaotome: …Hey! Don’t jump on
me like that, I’ll spill my drink!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

- - - -

Iori Izumi: We have no way of telling
whether his fortune is true or not.

Iori Izumi: However, as Isumi-san said,
if it is ture, then we’ll win as soon as
Inumaru-san is executed.

Iori Izumi: If the game doesn’t end,
we’ll execute Kujo-san as well.

Iori Izumi: Getting rid of another wolf
will buy us more time to execute people.

Haruka Isumi: Right? So we should
totally start with Toma.

Mitsuki Izumi: If that’ll help clear
things up for us, then I guess?

Toma Inumaru: But didn’t we agree to
take care of the fortune-tellers first?

Toma Inumaru: I’m cool with being executed
if it means Kujo will be next, but do we
have the days to do that?

Mitsuki Izumi: We’ll get more days
after we execute Kujo, won’t we?

Iori Izumi: If Kujo-san turns out to be
a wolf and we execute him, there will only
be one wolf left, and therefore we’ll
have more days.

Tenn Kujo: I don’t care either way.
My job here is done.

Tenn Kujo: It’s a good thing I managed
to find a wolf before I die. Isn’t it,
Inumaru-san?

Toma Inumaru: Damn… Even when I know
you’re lying, you do a good job of making
yourself seem trustworthy.

Toma Inumaru: Fine, you can execute me
today. But if you do, you gotta make sure
to execute Kujo next. Got that, Haru?

Haruka Isumi: …You won’t mind if we
execute you today?

Toma Inumaru: Nope. Just make sure
to avenge me tomorrow, alright?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: No, wait. Something
doesn’t add up.

Mitsuki Izumi: Add up how?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I mean the
calculations Torao-kun was making.
We currently have either one or two
wolves in the village, right?

Haruka Isumi: Uh… If Nikaido-san
was one, then there’s one wolf left.
If he wasn’t, then there’s two.

Iori Izumi: We don’t have much
time left.

Iori Izumi: Kujo-san or Inumaru-san.
We’ll each vote for who we think is
the right choice.

Iori Izumi: I’m going with Isumi-san’s
idea, and voting for Inumaru-san. Then
I’ll watch and see what happens.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Wait, we can’t
do that!

Haruka Isumi: What do you mean,
we can’t?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Um, if Toma-kun
gets executed tonight, and he’s not a
wolf, then there will be two wolves left.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: If someone gets
attacked after that, then the number
of villagers will be…

Iori Izumi: ………

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: There’s no way
you wouldn’t have accounted for this…

Iori Izumi: Who, me?

Iori Izumi: Are you accusing meof
being a wolf?

[Whistle]

- - - -

Tamaki Yotsuba:Yooooooo!!!
Iorin!!!

Riku Nanase: Why would he say something
like that right near the end..!?

Nagi Rokuya: Perhaps he wanted to
split the vote even further?

Gaku Yaotome: Split the vote?

Sogo Osaka: Right. If it came down to
Kujo-san versus Toma, they could lose by
a small margin.

Sogo Osaka: If Iori-kun is added
to the mix, they’ll have a better
chance of winning.

Nagi Rokuya: Especially since the
wolves will obviously vote for the same
target. Inumaru-shi already has two people
against him.

Riku Nanase: So if even one more person
writes in Toma-san’s name, the villagers
will lose?

Nagi Rokuya: Precisely.

Gaku Yaotome: Oof, that’s rough..!

Yamato Nikaido: Yeah, seriously!

Minami Natsume: It’s a complicated
situation, indeed… Especially since
Isumi-san is on the verge of voting
against Inumaru-san.

Tamaki Yotsuba: But wouldn’t Isumin
at least go easier on one of his own
teammates?

Minami & Torao: Hmm…

Yuki: I’m guessing ŹOOĻ’s interpersonal
relationships aren’t as warm as certain
other groups’.

Riku Nanase: But Toma-san’s such
a nice guy.

Torao Mido: No… Haruka actually
does like Toma a lot. Idolizes him, even.

Minami Natsume: But that’s exactly
why he can’t trust him.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Huh!?
What does that even mean!?

Momo:Is this another one of these
“only our group gets it” type things,
like it was with TRIGGER?

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Torao Mido: It’s not really anything
to cheer about…

Torao Mido: It’s just that betrayal
hurts more when it comes from someone
you care about.

Minami Natsume: Which is why he
literally cannot allow himself to
trust Inumaru-san.

Audience:Ah…

[Applause]

Torao Mido: Now they’re… clapping..?

Minami Natsume: Hee hee, thank you
all very much.

Nagi Rokuya: Each of our groups has
its own unique personality!

Yuki:Today we found out that for
Re:vale and MEZZO", selling out a
friend comes very cheap.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I didn’t sell
out anyone!

Yamato Nikaido: And IDOLiSH7 has a bunch
of free spirits, for one.

Riku Nanase: That’s definitely true!

Sogo Osaka: It’s almost time.

Riku Nanase: Ah… I wonder who’s
going to win..!

- - - -

Iori Izumi:………

Mitsuki Izumi:……….

Tenn Kujo: ………

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: ……….

Haruka Isumi:……….

Toma Inumaru:……….

- - - -

Game Master: And the result of the
vote is…

Game Master: Toma Inumaru will be
executed.

Toma Inumaru:Aaaaaagh..!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What..!?

Haruka Isumi: Aah..!

Game Master: Night has fallen.

Mitsuki Izumi: The game’s still going..!

Game Master: The wolves must select
their prey.

Game Master: Once they have selected
their target, the game will end.

Tenn Kujo: We did it..!

Iori Izumi: We’ve won..!

Iori Izumi: May I attack my brother now?

Tenn Kujo: Go right ahead.

Iori Izumi: Haah… It’s over at last.

Iori Izumi: Thank you for this final prey.

Game Master: The game has concluded in
the wolves’ victory.

To be continued…

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 13: Nighttime Stategy Meetings ~Day 5~

Chapter Index

Yamato Nikaido: You’ve gotta be kidding me, Riku..!
Uooohhh…!!!

Yamato Nikaido: You guys had better execute
Kujo after this!!!

Yamato Nikaido: He’s the wolf..!
You have to believe me..!

- - - -

Iori Izumi: We were saved by Nanase-san’s
nonsensical little skits…

Tenn Kujo: Right…

Iori Izumi: What’s wrong? You seem concerned.

Tenn Kujo: …I think Ryu’s onto me.

Iori Izumi: Tsunashi-san…

Tenn Kujo: At least that’s what I think.
He’s too nice to start interrogating me
until he’s confirmed his hunch to be
true.

Iori Izumi: He isn’t the type to fall
under suspicion and get executed, so I’d
like to attack him… But now is not the
time for that.

Tenn Kujo: Right. I’ll get executed
tomorrow, so let’s stick with the plan
and attack Nanase-san.

Iori Izumi: Right. You should accuse
someone of being a wolf tomorrow, though.

Iori Izumi: If that person gets executed
before you, victory is ours.

Tenn Kujo: Got it. Who should I accuse?
I’ve already “read” Ryu’s fortune.

Iori Izumi: Well, as far as the others
go… Him.

Iori Izumi: Inumaru-san suspected me.
You should accuse him.

Iori Izumi: Keeping him around for too
long will put me at a disadvantage.

Tenn Kujo: Fine. We just need Ryu,
your brother, and Isumi-san on our side.

Iori Izumi: No, we don’t. If even one of
them sides with us, we’ll have just enough
votes for a draw.

Iori Izumi: If we’re forced to
revote, then it’s just a matter
of which one of you will be more
convincing.

Tenn Kujo: So if we manage to delay
the vote, we’ll win.

Iori Izumi: That’s right.

Tenn Kujo: Public opinion can be
a very scary thing.

Iori Izumi: Agreed.

Iori Izumi: It won’t be long before
we fall under suspicion. If possible,
we should try to win by tomorrow night…

- - - -

Tamaki Yotsuba: Hang in there, Iorin
and Tenten..!

Gaku Yaotome: Ryu! Izumi Senior!
Inumaru! Isumi! Don’t let these wolves
fool you!

Nagi Rokuya: Hm… How very educational.

Minami Natsume: What is?

Nagi Rokuya: Without clear suspects,
a community that has fallen victim to
paranoia…

Nagi Rokuya: Will be easily overtaken
by two, very confident adversaries.

Momo:Sure seems that way.

Torao Mido: They’re full of openings,
too. They keep falling for distractions.

Torao Mido: Then again, once you’re
in the thick of things, it might be
harder to notice that.

Gaku Yaotome: And voicing your doubts
might risk you being targeted next.

Minami Natsume: Because none of them
speak up, the wolves are able to shape
their view of the situation.

Momo:Watching this makes me think
that if you say something, no matter how
wrong you might be…

Momo:The people who know you will
stick by you. And I think that’s
really important.

Gaku Yaotome:Right.

Sogo Osaka: But if you don’t have
anyone’s trust, people are quick to
turn on you. I got executed on the
very first day, after all…

Tamaki Yotsuba: I said I was sorry..!

Sogo Osaka: I’m not mad. That vote was
the result of a very small incident.

Sogo Osaka: You apologized to me,
then someone else took that to mean
that we were on the same side…

Nagi Rokuya: It was Iori.

Sogo Osaka: Huh..? Oh, wow…
So it was all planned out by him…

Nagi Rokuya: This game is most exciting.
I would love to play it again!

Yuki:Oh, it’s about time.

[Creak…]

Yamato Nikaido:………

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yamato Nikaido: What the…

Yamato Nikaido: This must be heaven.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yamato Nikaido: Happy New Year!

Audience:Happy New Year!

Yamato Nikaido: Were you guys watching me?

Audience: We were!

Audience:You were so cool!

Audience: I believed in you..!

Yamato Nikaido: Thanks!

Yamato Nikaido: I feel a lot better
after hearing that.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Hey, Yama-san!

Nagi Rokuya: Welcome, Yamato!

Yamato Nikaido: They’ve got food,
and beer! You guys have been having
a feast!

Sogo Osaka: Hehe. Yes we have.

Yamato Nikaido: Wow… I should’ve
ended up here sooner.

Momo:The real fortune-teller can’t
leave too early! Let me get you some
beer for all your hard work!

Yamato Nikaido: Yeah, hard work is
right! Take you, for example. You were
way too good out there, Momo-san..!

Yuki:He was scary good.

Yamato Nikaido: Ahaha, says the
partner he sold out.

Yuki: Don’t wag your finger at me.

Sogo Osaka: Tamaki-kun and Momo-san are
forming a “Traitors to Their Partner” unit.

Yamato Nikaido: That’s a hell of
a unit name… Literally.

Minami Natsume: Oh..? Could it be that
this game might conclude tomorrow?

Torao Mido: One, two… Yep.
There’s gonna be an equal number of
wolves and villagers, unless one of
the wolves gets executed tomorrow.

Yamato Nikaido: Wait, do the
villagers know?

Gaku Yaotome: I’m not sure if Ryu
even remembers the rules…

Minami Natsume: Inumaru-san and the
others seem content to leave minding the
small details to Iori Izumi.

Minami Natsume: If none of them speaks
up, they could lose by virtue of
carelessness.

Yuki: I still don’t get all this
number business, myself.

Momo:Once Riku gets attacked tonight,
that leaves six people, including two
wolves, right?

Yuki:Right.

Momo: If one villager gets executed
tomorrow, and another attacked the
following night, there’ll be two wolves
and two villagers left.

Momo:And if there’s an equal number
on both sides, the villagers lose.

Yuki:Oh, crap.

Nagi Rokuya: OH! Fight, villagers!
Mitsuki, remember to count the wolves!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Iorin, Tenten!
Hang on for just a little longer!

Momo:I believe in you, my dear wolfies!

Gaku Yaotome: As the fox, which side
are you rooting for, Natsume?

Minami Natsume: Well… As a fellow
monster, I suppose I should be casting
my lot with the wolves.

Torao Mido: That makes us enemies.
Toma, Haruka, you’ve got this!

Sogo Osaka: Mitsuki-san! Don’t let
go of your suspicions of Iori-kun
just yet!

Yamato Nikaido: He was doubting Ichi?
And whose fortunes did he think were real?

Sogo Osaka: Yours, I think?

Yamato Nikaido: Mitsu..! I believe
in you, too!

Gaku Yaotome: Ryu! Take ‘em down!

- - - -

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:…Tenn…
He might be a wolf…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I know he said
he just got excited and blurted out
his results, but…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: He’s not really
the type to speak without thinking. I know
how much self-restraint he has.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: He doesn’t so
much as yelp if he gets hurt while working.
Do you really think someone like him would
suddenly fail to control himself?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …I don’t know.
Maybe he was trying to play up his reactions
to keep the show interesting?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:Nah…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: That’s unlikely.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: We had already
established that fortune results get
announced at the same time.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: He wouldn’t
break an agreement between all of us
and act on his own without a reason.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: He had to have
some sort of specific goal… Such as…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: ………

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …Is Tenn
a wolf, after all?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What do you
think, Gaku!?

- - - -

Mitsuki Izumi: …Yamato-san got
got. And I still don’t know which one
is the real fortune-teller.

Mitsuki Izumi: I wanna believe that
it was Yamato-san, but Kujo’s awfully
calm for someone who could be faking it…

Mitsuki Izumi: We’re gonna execute
Kujo next. Then we have to figure
out who the remaining wolf is.

Mitsuki Izumi: Tsunashi-san’s reaction
seemed genuine back there, so maybe it’s
Inumaru?

Mitsuki Izumi: If it’s not Tsunashi-san,
Iori, or Isumi, then it has to be him.

Mitsuki Izumi: I forget why, but
I remember thinking it was weird that
he didn’t get attacked.

Mitsuki Izumi: I guess it’s Kujo,
then Inumaru…

- - - -

Haruka Isumi: I can’t believe I
trusted Minami…

Haruka Isumi: He, Kujo-san, and
Nanase were kinda my fave villagers and
everything. Hmm. Maybe I’ve got it all
wrong.

Haruka Isumi: Kujo-san’s still gotta be
real, right? I mean, we has all excited
this morning and everything.

Haruka Isumi: Probably because he got
the fox. It all seemed pretty authentic
to me.

Haruka Isumi: And there’s no way
the wolf’s Izumi. The younger one,
I mean.

Haruka Isumi: He kept telling us
to kill off Yotsuba. He wouldn’t tell
us to do that if they were allies.

Haruka Isumi: So that leaves…
…Toma..?

Haruka Isumi: But when I said
I suspected him, he seemed shocked!
I don’t think he was acting, either.

Haruka Isumi: Or maybe he was.
Hmm… Ah, I guess I’m just being
a pessimist.

Haruka Isumi: I think up a worst-case
scenario, and then I start believing
it’s real because of how bad it is.

Haruka Isumi: Like, the less I want
Toma to be lying to me, the more I’m
convinced that that’s what he’s doing.

Haruka Isumi: Maybe that’s why he
seems like a wolf to me? Should I trust
him, Torao?

Haruka Isumi: Tsunashi-san seems
like a pretty nice guy. And so does
Izumi’s big brother!

Haruka Isumi: That’s why they
don’t seem like liars to me…
…They also do acting on the side,
though. So in the end, they could
be just like Minami.

Haruka Isumi: ………

Haruka Isumi: Uugh, I’ve had
enough of this…

Haruka Isumi: I hope I get killed
before I have to start actually
figuring stuff out…

- - - -

Toma Inumaru: So, Mina was the
fox spirit…

Toma Inumaru: I have no idea
which fortune-teller’s what. But
we’re still executing Kujo tomorrow,
right?

Toma Inumaru: That means we’ll have
gotten rid of a wolf for sure.

Toma Inumaru: That’s gonna leave
us with five people, one of whom is
a wolf…

Toma Inumaru: We have two more
days left. That means we can still
make one miss.

Toma Inumaru: I bet they’re all
gonna suspect me… I guess Haru
already is, actually. Is it because
of my face?

Toma Inumaru: I’m still worried
about the younger Izumi… I’d hate
for someone like him to be a wolf.

Toma Inumaru: If I was a wolf, he’d
be the first person I’d get rid of.

Toma Inumaru: Still, it’s true that
the wolves could’ve been prioritizing the
hunter and medium over him…

Toma Inumaru: Hmm…

Toma Inumaru: I guess we should take
him out after Kujo.

- - - -

Torao Mido: None of them have noticed
that tomorrow’s potentially their last chance.

Nagi Rokuya:OH…I pray for the
village’s safety.

Momo: You’ve got this!
I only have eyes for you!!!

Yuki: For me?

Momo:You too, of course!

Chapter Index

Game Master: Dawn has come.

- - - -

Toma Inumaru: Uoooh!!! I’m alive!

Tenn Kujo: Nice! He’s gone!

Haruka Isumi:Huh?

Riku Nanase: I knew it..! Can I say
my results?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Where’s Gaku!?

Game Master: The wolves struck last
night, leaving behind one victim.

Yamato Nikaido: Aah..! Yaotome..!

Mitsuki Izumi: They got Yaotome..!

Iori Izumi: Ah, another villager…

Haruka Isumi: Wait, where’s Minami?

Game Master: One of you disappeared
without a trace last night.

Toma Inumaru: Disappeared?
So he wasn’t attacked?

Riku Nanase: Ah..! He must’ve been
the fox spirit!

Tenn Kujo: I read Natsume-san’s
fortune. He was the fox spirit.

Haruka Isumi: Minami was a fox
this whole time!?

Iori Izumi: Well done, Kujo-san..!

Yamato Nikaido: Weren’t we supposed
to announce these things all at the same
time!? I read Natsume’s fortune, too. He
was a fox!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: There’s so much
going on right now..! So Gaku’s dead,
and Minami-kun’s gone?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What happened
last night!?

- - - -

Gaku Yaotome: Ah… I knew it, I’m dead.

Minami Natsume:Yaotome-san.

Gaku Yaotome: Wha… Oh…
Is that you, Natsume?

Minami Natsume: That’s right.
It’s a pleasure to join you among
the dead.

Gaku Yaotome: So that means you died,
too. But how..?

Minami Natsume: I was the fox spirit.

Gaku Yaotome: I see…

Minami Natsume: Yip yip.

Gaku Yaotome: A villager and a fox,
making their way to hell together. That
could be interesting, actually.

Minami Natsume: We make quite the
dynamic duo. I wouldn’t even mind making
a pilgrimage all the way to Ise Grand
Shrine with you.

Gaku Yaotome: Sorry, but I’ve
got work tomorrow.

Minami Natsume: Oh, what a pity.
In that case, let’s at least link arms
and walk over to that door together.

Gaku Yaotome: Why?

Minami Natsume: Listen closely.
Don’t you feel as if someone’s waiting
for us?

Gaku Yaotome: …Waiting for us..?

Minami Natsume: I’ll gladly escort you.

Gaku Yaotome: …I guess I am hearing
something from over there…

- - - -

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Audience:Gaku-san!!!

Audience:Minami-san!!!

Gaku Yaotome: ………

Minami Natsume: See? I told you.

Tamaki Yotsuba: They’re linking arms!!!

Momo:Since when were you two
such good pals!?

Sogo Osaka: Well done out there.

Torao Mido: Good job.

Minami Natsume: Hello, Mido-san.
Were you all watching us from here this
whole time?

Yuki:That’s right. Gaku-kun,
you were the coolest hunter ever.

Gaku Yaotome: Thanks. I only managed to
protect one person, though.

Nagi Rokuya: In the end, you stepped
down without ever getting the chance to
raise hell, Natsume-shi.

Minami Natsume: I wish I could’ve
caused more confusion. So, who was the
real fortune-teller?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yama-san.

Gaku Yaotome: What!? Does that mean
Tenn’s a wolf?

Momo:Yep. He’s the one I’m rooting for!

Gaku Yaotome: I kept protecting him…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Audience:Ahahahaha!

Momo: It’s hard to tell if they’re
cheering or laughing.

Yuki:You two should do some hunter
and fox style fanservice for the audience.

Gaku Yaotome: What, is that what all
the others have been doing?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Totally!

Gaku Yaotome: Wait, really?

Minami Natsume: I’ll go first, then.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Minami Natsume: Happy New Year,
everyone.

Minami Natsume: I’ll be bewitching
you all with my honeyed words again
this year.

Minami Natsume: But please forgive me,
even if you fall for one of my lies.
Yip yip.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: His fox pose is super cute!

Minami Natsume: …Hee hee…

Torao Mido: What did you trot over
here for? Feeling shy, are we?

Minami Natsume: A little bit.
Give me a high five.

Torao Mido: Ahaha! Now that’s a
surprising request!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

[Slap]

Nagi Rokuya: Such an adorable fox!

Sogo Osaka: That was very cute!

Momo: Hunter Gaku! You’re next!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Gaku Yaotome: Happy New Year!

Gaku Yaotome: If anyone dares disturb
you guys’ peaceful sleep…

Gaku Yaotome: I’ll make sure to
protect you.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Gaku Yaotome:BANG!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo: What a hottie..!
Gaku’s so cool..!

Yuki: Not bad. You get an A+ from me, as
both a hunter and a member of TRIGGER.

Gaku Yaotome:Heh.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Gakkun, Gakkun!
Do that to So-chan too!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: It’s fine, you don’t have
to! In fact, please don’t..!

Torao Mido: You have to be the
first person I’ve ever seen decline
fanservice.

Gaku Yaotome: Look at me, Osaka.

Sogo Osaka:………

Gaku Yaotome: You’re one of my rivals.
So instead of giving you fanservice, how
about I give you a handshake?

Sogo Osaka:O-Okay…

Gaku Yaotome: There we go.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Gaku Yaotome: It’s a pleasure to be
working with you this coming year.

Sogo Osaka: …The pleasure is
all mine!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Audience:Minami-kun, do the fox thing again!

Minami Natsume: Yip yip.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

- - - -

Toma Inumaru: …Two deaths at once…

Mitsuki Izumi: Yaotome got attacked by
wolves, and Natsume got cursed by a
fortune-teller…

Toma Inumaru: But which one?

Tenn Kujo: Me. I’m the one who
read his fortune.

Yamato Nikaido: Yeah, right. I’m the
one who read Natsume.

Mitsuki Izumi: So you read his
fortune too, gramps?

Yamato Nikaido: I’m telling you, that’s
why he disappeared in the first place!

Tenn Kujo: No, you have to believe me.
I’m the one who got rid of him.

Mitsuki Izumi: Uh…

Iori Izumi: It makes sense that they’d
both want to claim they did it.

Iori Izumi: The fox can only be killed
by the true fortune-teller, after all.

Iori Izumi: Now that Natsume-san is gone,
the imposter must pretend to have read his
fortune as well, or blow his cover.

Riku Nanase: Kujo-san managed
to announce his results first…

Yamato Nikaido: I wasn’t parroting
him, just so you know.

Yamato Nikaido: We’ve been announcing
our results in unison, remember? I was
waiting for us to do that, like always.

Iori Izumi: That’s true. Why did you
blurt out your results like that, Kujo-san?

Tenn Kujo: I spent the entire last night
worrying about which one of the other
fortune-tellers was the fox.

Tenn Kujo: So when I saw that I’d
guessed correctly, I got excited. I’m
sorry for the confusion I caused.

Toma Inumaru:………
They both make a good case…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …No…

Tenn Kujo: What?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Ah… It’s nothing.

Tenn Kujo:………

Haruka Isumi: …Minami… He said
he wanted us to praise him for catching
the fox and everything.

Haruka Isumi: And now you’re telling
me HE was the fox… Are we sure he wasn’t
actually the real fortune-teller?

Iori Izumi: I’d say it’s more or
less confirmed that he wasn’t. The GM
said he “disappeared without a trace”,
as opposed to being killed.

Haruka Isumi: What, so he really
was lying the whole time..?
Seriously..?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Are you okay?

Haruka Isumi: I can’t wrap my head
around any of this…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I know how you
feel. They’re all so good at pretending
that it’s hard to distrust any of them.

Haruka Isumi: …Yeah… Actually…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Hmm?

Haruka Isumi: Doesn’t that include
you..? You could be a wolf too, for
all I know.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’m a villager,
though I can’t exactly prove it…
And what about you? Even you could be…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …No. I don’t
think you’re a wolf, Haruka-kun.
Though that’s just a hunch…

Haruka Isumi: I’m not! I’m really not!

Iori Izumi: First off, let’s decide
which fortune-teller to execute.

Iori Izumi: But before that, would you
mind telling us your results, Nanase-san?

Riku Nanase: Ah… Tamaki was a wolf.

Toma Inumaru: Got it! So that means
we succeeded in getting rid of one
wolf and the fox, at least.

Riku Nanase: Right, although we
also lost the hunter. I’ll probably be
attacked tonight.

Mitsuki Izumi: Oh, yeah…
All things considered, does it make
sense for us to go after the fortune-
tellers at this point?

Iori Izumi: What do you mean?

Mitsuki Izumi: One of them is a wolf…
That much is obvious.

Mitsuki Izumi: But one of us regular
villagers has to be a wolf, too.

Mitsuki Izumi: I figure it’s best
if we look for that wolf first.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: That makes sense…
But I don’t think I could judge other
people as well as a fortune-teller…

Toma Inumaru: Me neither…

Haruka Izumi: I don’t have a clue,
either… But I do kinda wanna hear
everyone’s take on this.

Haruka Isumi: Which non-fortune-teller
do you suspect the most..?

Mitsuki Izumi: Huh!? Well, if I have
to pick one, then probably Tsunashi-san…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What, me!? But why?

Mitsuki Izumi: Because if you were a
wolf, you’d probably be a really good
one… What about you, Inumaru?

Toma Inumaru: For me, it’s probably
the younger Izumi brother…

Iori Izumi: Why, if I may ask?

Toma Inumaru: Because you seem like
a smart kid, but you’re also still alive.
Considering that the wolves went after
Rokuya and Tora first, you should’ve
been the next one to go.

Toma Inumaru: But here you are.

Mitsuki Izumi: Are you sure the
wolves weren’t just too busy going
after Riku and Yaotome?

Toma Inumaru: Oh, I guess that makes
sense. Haru, what do you think?

Haruka Isumi: I have no idea!
But if I had to pick one, then maybe
you, Toma..?

Toma Inumaru:ME!?

Haruka Isumi: I don’t think you’re lying!

Haruka Isumi: But up until now, everyone
whose fortune Nikaido-san read has turned
up dead. But you haven’t…

Haruka Isumi: So I think you could
be a wolf.

Iori Izumi: …It’s possible.

Toma Inumaru: No, no, no! No way!

Yamato Nikaido: That’s not possible.
I read Inumaru’s fortune, and he was
a villager.

Haruka Isumi: Doesn’t that just mean
that you’re both wolves..?

Mitsuki Izumi: Nope! I don’t think
gramps here is a wolf… for some
reason…

Mitsuki Izumi: Now I’m not so
sure, though…

Yamato Nikaido: Well you should
be, Mitsu!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Yamato-kun and
Toma-kun as wolves… And what if Tenn
is a wolf? Who would his partner be?

Iori Izumi: I’m not sure…
It doesn’t feel like he’s trying to
cover for anyone.

Iori Izumi: According to him,
Yaotome-san, Nanase-san, and you
are villagers.

Iori Izumi: If he’s a wolf, then you
are the only one that could be
considered his ally.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I see…
But I’m not a wolf. So, does that
mean Yamato-kun’s..?

Yamato Nikaido: Hold up. I thought
we were looking for a regular villager
who’s a wolf here.

Mitsuki Izumi: That’s right.

Iori Izumi: It’s faster to find
one wolf among two people than among
five.

Iori Izumi: Especially if Nanase-san
dies, leaving us with no way to confirm
if we chose the right person.

Iori Izumi: We should execute
Nikaido-san and Kujo-san one
after the other.

Mitsuki Izumi: Hmm… It’s gonna suck
not having their abilities helping us
out, but I guess we have no choice.

Mitsuki Izumi: Nagi said we should
execute all the fortune-tellers, too.

Yamato Nikaido: So who do we start with?

Tenn Kujo: I don’t mind either way.
But if you’re going to execute me now,
make sure that you execute him tomorrow,
as well.

Tenn Kujo: He’s a wolf.

Yamato Nikaido: No, that’d be you.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …They’re getting
heated again…

Toma Inumaru: I have no idea who
we should start with…

Riku Nanase: Wait, both of you!
If you start acting all scary, you might
make Iori or Haruka-kun cry!

Iori Izumi: No, they might not!

Haruka Isumi: Hell no, they wouldn’t!

Riku Nanase: Try to convince us like
you’re trying to convince a girlfriend
that you’re not cheating on her.

Riku Nanase: I can be the girlfriend!

Haruka Isumi: Cheating!?

Yamato Nikaido: Riku! we don’t have
time for your silly roleplay ideas..!

Tenn Kujo: Knock knock. Ricchan,
I’m home.

Yamato Nikaido: Kujo’s already
on board!?

Tenn Kujo: Why are you sulking
all of a sudden? Did I do something
to upset you?

Tenn Kujo: If that’s the case, then
I want to make it up to you. Please,
tell me what’s wrong.

Riku Nanase: You don’t have to say
that… I know you’re cheating. I saw
you holding hands with that girl at lunch!

Tenn Kujo: You must’ve mistaken someone
else for me. I was at the studio all day
today.

Riku Nanase: Really?

Tenn Kujo: Really. You’re the only girl
whose hand I’d ever hold.

Tenn Kujo: Trust me.

Riku Nanase:………

Riku Nanase: I think he’s the real
fortune-teller!

Toma Inumaru: Seriously!? You decided
he was the real one based on that little
play of yours!?

Yamato Nikaido: Wait, wait, wait!
Let me try to convince you, too!

Riku Nanase: Oh, right! I was kind of
jumping to conclusions there! Okay,
Yamato-san, um…

Riku Nanase: You can be Tsunashi-san’s
boyfriend!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Huh!?

Yamato Nikaido: Knock knock.
Ryuko, I’m home.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: You’re barging
right in!? Um… Welcome home.

Yamato Nikaido: I thought we’d have
a nice, steamy couples night, so I bought
us some bingo cards.

Mitsuki Izumi: What a weird thing
to buy for your girlfriend.

Iori Izumi: How exactly would things
get “steamy” using bingo cards?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Oh, thank you!
You know how much I love playing bingo
with you!

Toma Inumaru: Turns out the bingo
cards were a surprisingly good choice.

Haruka Isumi: Do they always play
bingo together or something?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: But you can’t bribe
me with these. I saw you, you know.

Yamato Nikaido: Saw me doing what?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Cheating on me.
I know you messaged another girl, and
told her that you love her.

Yamato Nikaido: Don’t be stupid, Ryuko.
You know I send messages like that to
just about every girl I know.

Yamato Nikaido: You’re the only one
who gets to hear it straight from my
mouth. I love you, babe…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:………

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Isn’t that
still cheating, though?

[Whistle]

Yamato Nikaido: Noooooo!!! Wait!!!

Mitsuki Izumi: Yamato-san, you
dirty cheater!

Yamato Nikaido: Can I get a do-over!?
We’re not seriously out of time, right!?

Iori Izumi: It’s Nanase-san’s fault for
suggesting this in the first place..!

Riku Nanase: Aaah! I’m going to be
attacked! Hang in there, villagers!

- - - -

Game Master: And the result of the
vote is…

Game Master: Yamato Nikaido will be
executed.

Yamato Nikaido: You’ve gotta be
kidding me..!

Game Master: Night has fallen.

Game Master: The loser of the vote
will be taken to the execution site.

Game Master: The wolves must select
their prey.

Game Master: The fortune-teller must
select whose fortune to read, and the
hunter must decide who to protect.

Game Master: As for all the others,
they can only hold their breath and
wait for this frightful night to end…

To be continued…

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 11: Nighttime Stategy Meetings ~Day 4~

Chapter Index

Tamaki Yotsuba:Uuurgh…
I’m so scared to find out where
I’m going….

Tamaki Yotsuba: Still, So-chan and
Nagicchi are waiting for me…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ah, and I’m the first
wolf to die! Maybe they’ll all be mad
at me.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I don’t wanna be
yelled at…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Awooo..!

- - - -

Iori Izumi: ………

Iori Izumi: It’s just the two of us now.

Tenn Kujo: True.

Iori Izumi: Will Yaotome-san be our
target for tonight?

Tenn Kujo: Yep. It’s what Gaku’s
expecting, too. Seeing as how he’s readied
himself, we shouldn’t disappoint him.

Iori Izumi: I’m not one to go after
people who expect to be targeted.
But sure.

Iori Izumi: Do you think Nikaido-san
will read Natsume-san’s fortune?

Tenn Kujo: If he’s gone next morning,
I’ll pretend I read his fortune.

Tenn Kujo: If not, I’ll accuse
Nikaido-san of being a wolf.

Iori Izumi: Sounds good to me.

Tenn Kujo: If we’re going to start
executing the fortune-tellers, I’ll
be gone before you.

Tenn Kujo: As much as I’d rather not
leave winning this game entirely on your
shoulders.

Iori Izumi: It’s fine.

Tenn Kujo: Do you think you’ll be
able to stay hidden until the end?

Iori Izumi: I’m not sure…

Iori Izumi: I should be able to win
if I attack my brother before there’s
too few of us.

Iori Izumi: If he’s still around by
then, I’m not sure… He might find me
out.

Tenn Kujo: Got it.

Tenn Kujo: We’ll attack Gaku, then
Nanase-san, then your brother.

Iori Izumi: Thank you.

Tenn Kujo: I’ll try not to die just
yet, either.

Iori Izumi: Alright.

Tenn Kujo:………

Tenn Kujo: It’s really quiet without
Yotsuba-san here.

Iori Izumi: It is…

Tenn Kujo: The graveyeard, on the
other hand, is probably getting pretty
busy right about now.

- - - -

Tamaki Yotsuba: There? I’m supposed
to go through that door?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ugh… My hands
are shaking…

[Creak]

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ah…

Tamaki Yotsuba:Yaaaay..!!!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: So-chan! So-chan,
I’m here!

Sogo Osaka: Hehe… Yes, I can see that.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Wave to the audience
too, So-chan..!

Yuki:He’s mad, you know.

Tamaki Yotsuba: No way..!
He’s mad!? Really!? Do you guys know!?

Audience:He’s mad..!

Audience:He’s not mad anymore..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Which is it!?

Audience:Ahahahaha..!

Momo:In any case, you’re gonna
form a unit with me, Tamaki.

Tamaki Yotsuba: A unit!? Is that
what you guys have been talking
about!?

Momo:Yep. Our group name is
“Traitors to Their Partner”.

Tamaki Yotsuba: So he’s not just
mad, he’s SUPER mad…

Torao Mido: What’d that shorten to..?
“P-Traitors”, maybe.

Sogo Osaka: That’s right.
Congratulations on forming the “P-Traitors”.

Tamaki Yotsuba: B-But I’m in MEZZO"
with you!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Right, So-chan!?

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: …Ahaha! I’m sorry,
Tamaki-kun. I’m not actually mad
at you.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Uuuugh!!!
Sorry that you got executed because
of me…

Momo:I thought you’d get mad, but
now you’re the one apologizing!?

Yuki:He’s such a nice kid.

Nagi Rokuya: With that, MEZZO" has
officially made up! Applause, if you
please!

Torao Mido: Congrats, you two.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

[Applause]

Nagi Rokuya: How are the villagers
doing, I wonder?

- - - -

Yamato Nikaido: Ugh… Which one
of them is the fox?

Yamato Nikaido: Natsume… Or Kujo..?

Yamato Nikaido: …Nah, it’s gotta
be Natsume. …Hmm? Am I just picking
my target based on the way he looks..?

Yamato Nikaido: Come to think of it,
we’ve all got pretty fox-like faces…

Yamato Nikaido: ………

Yamato Nikaido: I guess it doesn’t matter…

Yamato Nikaido: I’m tired of thinking.
Natsume’s the fox, and that’s that! I’m
reading his fortune!

- - - -

Minami Natsume: I might finally
die tonight.

Minami Natsume: Ah… They’re so cruel…
Driving a poor little fox into a corner
by telling us to read each other’s
fortunes….

Minami Natsume: just because I’m the
fox spirit doesn’t mean I like to be
treated with such coldness. I need
affection, too…

Minami Natsume:………

Minami Natsume: I wonder if
Nikaido-san will target me.

Minami Natsume: Assuming he’s the
real one, that is.

Minami Natsume: Kujo-san looked
very happy when the hunter succeeded
in protecting our medium.

Minami Natsume: If he’s the wolf, then
could he really fake such a happy
reason within mere seconds?

Minami Natsume: I think he’s the
genuine article…

Minami Natsume: Sigh… I should focus
on surviving the night for now.

Minami Natsume: If I don’t…

Minami Natsume: Then I’ll curse the
village into a hellish pandemonium of
fear and ruination.

Minami Natsume: Yip yip.

- - - -

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: The wolves
are pretty tough…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I took all these
notes, but I have no idea which bit of
information to begin with…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: The one thing I know
for sure is that everyone who got attacked
by wolves is a villager. That means Nagi-kun
and Torao-kun are in the clear.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: And because no one
else claimed the medium role, Riku-kun
is the real one.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: That means I should
be able to trust his results. Sogo-kun,
Yuki-san, and Momo-san were villagers.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Gaku’s the hunter.
So that means…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Just based on his
results, Tenn is most likely to be the real
fortune-teller, since he said Riku-kun
and Gaku are villagers.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: But, something’s
nagging at me…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I don’t know why,
but… Tenn’s acting strange, somehow…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …It’s like he’s not
as sharp as he usually is…

- - - -

Gaku Yaotome: I’ll probably get attacked
tonight, but I’m glad I managed to do my
job at least once.

Gaku Yaotome: I wanted to do more, but
if this is where this hunter’s tale has
to end, then so be it.

Gaku Yaotome: I’m just glad I got to
go out in style.

Gaku Yaotome: There’s still two wolves
besides Yotsuba…

Gaku Yaotome: I’m counting on you,
villagers.

Game Master: Dawn has come.

- - - -

Riku Nanase: Whoa! I’m alive!

Toma Inumaru: I’m alive..!

Yamato Nikaido: He’s alive..!

Game Master: No one fell prey to
the wolves last night.

Yamato Nikaido: Huh?

Gaku Yaotome:Nice..!!!

Iori Izumi: They were protected…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: The hunter must’ve
successfully protected someone!

Haruka Isumi: The hunter’s still
alive! Awesome!!!

Tenn Kujo: Yay! This should buy us
some extra time!

Mitsuki Izumi: Which means…
We get to execute more people!
Hah, take that, wolves!

Minami Natsume: Hee hee, I’m sure
they’re feeling very frustrated.
Well done, Mr. Hunter.

Toma Inumaru: Yeah! Thanks a lot,
hunter!!!

Gaku Yaotome: Yeah… I mean, thanks,
hunter. Whoever you are!

Iori Izumi: Things are going well for
the village. Nanase-san, can you tell
us Momo-san’s results now?

Riku Nanase: Wait… What?

Iori Izumi: Is something wrong?

Riku Nanase: It says Momo-san was a villager.

Haruka Isumi: He was a villager?
So what, was he the real one? I’m
still not a wolf, though.

Toma Inumaru: Oh, I know! He was
that one villager type! You know, the
guys who side with the wolves…

Riku Nanase: The madman! He was
probably the madman, so his fortunes
weren’t accurate, even though he was
a human.

Haruka Isumi: Oh, that makes sense!
Phew!

Mitsuki Izumi: That’s one enemy
out of the way!

Riku Nanase: Yep! Hooray!

Yamato Nikaido: It’s certainly a
relief. Now all we have to do is
execute Tama.

Tamaki Yotsuba:Wait!

Mitsuki Izumi: What, Tamaki?
Your lies won’t work on us at
this point.

Tamaki Yotsuba: No! This is actually
the first time I’m telling you the truth!

Haruka Isumi: Huh? What’s that supposed
to mean?

Tamaki Yotsuba: The truth is…

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m the hunter!

Gaku Yaotome: Say WHAT!?

Riku Nanase:Huuuh!?

Mitsuki Izumi: What a load of bull!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I can’t exactly
say I believe you, either…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Let me finish!

Tamaki Yotsuba: I only said I was a
wolf to try and double trick everyone.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I knew I’d get killed if
I told everyone I was a hunter, so I
pretended to be a wolf.

Iori Izumi: And yet the real wolves
didn’t attack you, despite knowing that
you’re a fake? What sense does that make?

Tenn Kujo: Maybe they thought he was
the fox… Since wolves can’t kill foxes.

Toma Inumaru: Oh, right…
Wait, is that really possible?

Minami Natsume: Isn’t that a bit
too convenient? That all the wolves
would assume he’s a fox…

Minami Natsume: …Would require them
to make the deduction that none of the
fortune-tellers are the fox.

Minami Natsume: And that can’t be
possible, unless two of the fortune-tellers
are actually wolves.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Since the wolves
couldn’t discuss it beforehand, isn’t it
possible that two of them could’ve claimed
the fortune-teller role by accident?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I dunno about all that,
but I’m still the hunter. And I saved
Rikkun.

Riku Nanase: Tamaki… So you’re the one
who protected me!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yep! I’ve been doing
that this whole time!

Gaku Yaotome: No, that doesn’t make sense.
The hunter’s supposed to have been hiding
this whole time, so they don’t get attacked.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah, but I just had
to say it! Sorry, guys!

Haruka Isumi: …What’re we supposed
to do here?

Iori Izumi: There’s no way he’s
telling the truth. That outburst of his
on the first day couldn’t have been planned.

Yamato Nikaido: I agree. Tama’s a wolf.

Minami Natsume: But if the real hunter
is still here, shouldn’t they announce
themselves?

Riku Nanase: Maybe they’re still hiding,
because they don’t want to be attacked…

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m the real hunter!
I know I said some weird stuff on the
first day, but I was actually just hiding
until I succeeded in protecting someone.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m really, really,
really telling the truth this time!
Please believe me!

Gaku Yaotome:Yotsuba.

Tamaki Yotsuba: What?

Gaku Yaotome: Look me in the eye
and say that one more time.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Fine!

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m not a wolf,
I’m the… Heh…

Gakau Yaotome: He can’t even keep
a straight face!

Tamaki Yotsuba: No, I just got nervous!

Gaku Yaotome: We’re executing Yotsuba
tonight. Since I did my job, we should
have extra time to figure out who’s
who tomorrow.

Riku Nanase:Huh..?

Tenn Kujo: Does that mean…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:You’re..?

Gaku Yaotome: I’m the hunter.
Nanase was protected by me.

Mitsuki Izumi:Whooooah!!!
Yaotome, you’re so cool..!!!

Yamato Nikaido: Who said you could
make a grand entrance like that..!?

Haruka Isumi: Holy crap! This is like
a TV drama!

Toma Inumaru: Wooow!!! Nice job, dude..!!!

Gaku Yaotome: Looks like the cat’s out
of the bag… I probably wasn’t supposed
to tell you this, but oh well.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Wha… But…
Gakkun’s… No, I mean, I’m..!

Gaku Yaotome: Enough, Yotsuba.

Tamaki Yotsuba:………

Gaku Yaotome: You’re going to get
executed, and your buddies are going to
take my life after that.

Gaku Yaotome: Which is better than
letting some innocent villager get
sacrificed, if you ask me.

Tamaki Yotsuba: …Why do you gotta
act so cool!?

Gaku Yaotome: I’m not trying to act
cool! I just really wanted to be useful.
Y'know, protect someone for once.

Gaku Yaotome: Sorry that I couldn’t
be more helpful, but it’s been fun.

Mitsuki Izumi:Yaotome…

Riku Nanase: Yaotome-san… I’ll never
forget what you did for me..!

Gaku Yaotome: Ahaha, stupid.

Gaku Yaotome: I’ll protect you again
tonight. That way, you’ll live even if
I die.

Gaku Yaotome: Then you can tell everyone
if Yotsuba was a wolf or not.

Iori Izumi: Right… We should stick
to our plan and execute Yotsuba-san.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Fine…

Mitsuki Izumi: You’re even a wolf in
the sense that you give up quickly.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Uh, no!? Of course I
wanna stay!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: At least you’ll
get to go see Sogo-kun after you’re
executed.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah… I was planning to
go talk to So-chan, anyway.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Gakkun. You’re a
pretty tough guy.

Gaku Yaotome: Right back at you,
Yotsuba.

Mitsuki Izumi: What a beautiful
friendship..!

Riku Nanase: They’ve crossed the rift
between wolves and humans!!!

Toma Inumaru: Since we’ve still got
some time, there’s I’ve got a request
for the fortune-tellers.

Tenn Kujo: A request?

Yamato Nikaido: What’s up?

Minami Natsume: What is it?

Toma Inumaru: Read each other’s fortunes,
won’t you? If Momo-san was a human, then
that means one of you’s gotta be the fox.

Yamato Nikaido: Only a fortune reading
will kill a fox… So you’re planning to
get rid of ‘em.

Tenn Kujo: Sure, let’s give it a try.

Minami Natsume: By the way, Inumaru-san,
who do you think is the fox?

Toma Inumaru:………

Toma Inumaru: I think it might be
you, Mina.

Minami Natsume: Me?

Toma Inumaru: It’s just a gut feeling
I have.

Minami Natsume: What a shame that is.
I’ll have you know that I’m the
genuine article.

Minami Natsume: Perhaps when Kujo-san
or Nikaido-san disappears suddenly, you’ll
come to your senses.

Minami Natsume: Maybe then you’ll
finally trust me.

Toma Inumaru: Sure thing.

Tenn Kujo: I don’t know about you two,
but I’m not going to disappear.

Yamato Nikaido: Lie all you want,
I’m the one who’s not going anywhere.

Minami Natsume: You’re both very
convincing actors.

Haruka Isumi: My head’s spinning…
I have no idea what’s going on at this
point.

Haruka Isumi: Hmm, but I still believe
in you, Minami!

Minami Natsume: Thank you.

Haruka Isumi: I hope you catch the fox!

Minami Natsume: I will, don’t you worry.
When I do, I expect you and Inumaru-san
to heap praise upon me.

Haruka Isumi: Okay!

Iori Izumi: So tonight, Yotsuba-san gets
executed, and the fortune-tellers read
each other.

Riku Nanase: Sounds good to me!
Sorry, Tamaki!

Minami Natsume: Very well.
If that’s what you want us to do.

Iori Izumi: Ah, it’s almost nighttime.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Bye, guys.

- - - -

Game Master: And the result of the
vote is…

Game Master: Tamaki Yotsuba will be
executed.

Game Master: Night has fallen.

Game Master: The loser of the vote
will be taken to the execution site.

Game Master: The wolves must select
their prey.

Game Master: The fortune-teller must
select whose fortune to read, and the
hunter must decide who to protect.

Game Master: As for all the others,
they can only hold their breath and
wait for this frightful night to end…

Chapter Index

Momo:…Phew…

Momo: Mission Complete.

Momo:I was worried for a second,
since Tamaki was trying to drop out
of the game ahead of me!

Momo:Time to check out the graveyard!

Momo:I’m coming for you, Darling!

- - - -

Tamaki Yotsuba: Thanks, Momorin.

Iori & Tenn: Thank you, Momo-san.

Iori Izumi: Excellently played.

Tenn Kujo: You played the role of
the madman perfectly…

Iori Izumi: Yotsuba-san, you’ll most
likely be executed tomorrow.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah… I’m ready.

Iori Izumi: I’m going to have to ask
you to make faces all day, so nobody
can connect you to us.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Faces!? Okay…
I guess I’ll just make sure to
look sad the whole time.

Tenn Kujo: Ah, I’ll remember last year
like it was yesterday.

Tamaki Yotsuba: …….?

Tenn Kujo: Because it was yesterday.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ahahaha! Tenten, what
are you even talking about!?

Tenn Kujo: Don’t laugh.

Iori Izumi: We were both caught
off guard by what you said. Does TRIGGER
always tell cheesy jokes like that at home?

Tenn Kujo: It’s just something my
family always says on New Year’s, so…

Iori Izumi: So what!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Hey, shouldn’t we
be taking this more seriously?

Iori Izumi: You’re one to talk.

Tenn Kujo: Who should we attack?
Ideally, I’d like for it to be Nanase-san,
but I’m not sure if that’ll work.

Iori Izumi: It depends on if the
hunter is still among us, and who
they choose to protect.

Iori Izumi: They seem like they’ll
protect the mediums first and foremost,
but Nikaido-san could’ve influenced them
to protect Inumaru-san, instead.

Tenn Kujo: We don’t want them
to succeed in protecting someone.

Iori Izumi: Personally, I’d prefer
to attack my brother.

Tenn Kujo: Is he starting to
catch on to you?

Iori Izumi: At this rate, probably…
It feels like he’s keeping an eye on me.

Tenn Kujo: I’m a little
scared of Ryu, too…

Tamaki Yotsuba: What about Gakkun?

Tenn Kujo: Gaku trusts me. His poker
face sucks, so I’d know right away if
he was suspecting me.

Tenn Kujo: Ryu’s a different story.
Then again, if we were to attack him
now, I might come under suspicion.

Iori Izumi: I see. I suppose I might
come under suspicion if my brother was
attacked, as well.

Tenn Kujo: We’ve been going after
the smartest villagers up until now,
right? Going by that m.o., you should
be the next one to die.

Iori Izumi: That’s right. And the longer
I’m alive, the more suspicious I’ll
seem.

Tenn Kujo: And I’m one of the
fortune-tellers we’re all planning to
execute… Speaking of which, Natsume-san
is totally the fox spirit.

Iori Izumi: Indeed. He claimed
I was a villager.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Can’t we attack
Minamin?

Iori Izumi: The fox is immune to wolf
attacks. They can only be killed by the
true fortune-teller.

Iori Izumi: Luckily, you managed to
avoid the plan of making fortune-tellers
read each other.

Tenn Kujo: We don’t have much time
left. What do we do tomorrow?

Iori Izumi: Nii-san… Inumaru-san…
What do you think, Yotsuba-san?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Hmm… Rikkun.

Iori Izumi:Why?

Tamaki Yotsuba: It might make Mikki or
Ryu-aniki realize what you two are, but…

Tamaki Yotsuba: But Rikkun could also
realize that you’re both wolves.

Iori & Tenn:……….

Iori Izumi: The hunter will probably
protect him, but… What do you think?

Tenn Kujo:………
Let’s take the chance.

Iori Izumi: Very well. Our prey is Nanase-san.

Tamaki Yotsuba: My heart’s beating
super fast!

Tenn Kujo: Here’s hoping that nobody
will be there to protect him.

- - - -

Riku Nanase: I finally told everyone
that I’m the medium!

Riku Nanase:Phew…
I thought I’d die before then.

Riku Nanase: Still, I have to say,
I was shocked to find out that Yuki-san
had been a villager all along!

Riku Nanase: I was so convinced that
Momo-san was telling the truth. He’s
really something! Then again, I guess
deceiving each other is what this game’s
all about…

Riku Nanase: I wonder who the wolves are.
Do all of you at home know, yet?

Riku Nanase: Natsume-san kinda seemed
like one to me. Or maybe not..?

Riku Nanase: Maybe Yamato-san is the
madman. Though he seems like he could be a
real fortune-teller, too. But so does
Te… I mean, Kujo-san.

Riku Nanase: Maybe Natsume-san is actually
real… I actually wrote down his fortune
results.

Riku Nanase: He says Haruka-kun and
Iori are villagers, and I’m pretty sure
that’s true.

Riku Nanase: But since Iori played
the Wolf Boy, he could also be a wolf.

Riku Nanase: Ah, I’m scared.
What if I get attacked tonight?

Riku Nanase: Hunter, please protect
me, whoever you are! …Maybe it’s
Toma-san?

Riku Nanase: If it’s him, then it
makes sense that he hasn’t been able
to protect anyone so far.

Riku Nanase: I’m not trying to insult
him or anything! I think it’s cute that
he doesn’t go for the obvious picks.

Riku Nanase: If someone like Yaotome-san
was the hunter, he’d bring down his enemies
like, bang! Since he’s a part of TRIGGER!

Riku Nanase: Ugh… Please let me live
to see tomorrow!

Riku Nanase: Please, god!

- - - -

Momo: So this is where the graveyard
is… I think I can hear someone cheering…

[Creak]

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo:Whoa..!

Audience:Momo-chan!

Audience:Momo!

Momo: Hey guys! Momo-chan’s here!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: Well played, Momo-san.

Nagi Rokuya: Welcome, Mister Momo.

Momo:Hey! Wow, look at this feast!
So much yummy looking food!

Torao Mido: Ah, so about the thing
we were just talking about. Is Momo-san
gonna be the vocalist?

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo: Huh? The vocalist of what?

Yuki:Nope. Momo’s going to form a
unit with Tamaki-kun tomorrow.

Momo: With Tamaki?

Yuki:That’s right. The unit’s name
will be “Traitors to Their Partner”.

Audience:Ahahaha!!!

Momo:Ahaha! Look, I’m sorry about
what happened back there! Please don’t
pout, Darling..!

Yuki:You said you only had eyes
for the wolves.

Momo:And now that I’m no longer
the madman, I’m back to only having
eyes for you, forever!

Yuki:Really?

Momo:Really!

Yuki: In that case, I forgive you.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Momo: You’re so kind-hearted, Darling!
You didn’t cheat on me while I was gone
either, did you?

Audience: He did!

Momo:What!? Are you for real!?

Yuki: No, of course I didnt.

Nagi Rokuya: You must take responsibility
for what you did.

Momo: You did something to Nagi, Yuki!?

Audience:He did!

Yuki:I did not.

- - - -

Yamato Nikaido: Ah, Inumaru…
Please live, Inumaru… I’m begging you…

Yamato Nikaido: …Hmm? But,
now that I think about it…

Yamato Nikaido: If I tell everyone
I’ll read his fortune, and he turns out
to be a villager and dies, wouldn’t that
actually make me seem more sincere?

Yamato Nikaido: They’d realize that
I wasn’t lying about the others, either,
since I announced this reading ahead of
time.

Yamato Nikaido:………

Yamato Nikaido: …Sorry, Inumaru.

Yamato Nikaido: …Please get murdered…

Yamato Nikaido: And I feel bad for saying
this, I really do! …But I still want you
to die and prove my innocence…

Yamato Nikaido: You got that, wolves!?

Yamato Nikaido: Don’t tell me we’re
no longer on the same wavelength!

Yamato Nikaido: Attack Inumaru..!
Please..!

- - - -

Toma Inumaru:……….

Toma Inumaru: Why… do I feel like
someone wants me dead..?

Toma Inumaru: Maybe I’ll get attacked
tonight. Holy crap, now I’m scared.

Toma Inumaru: Still, I guess I’m a
better target than someone like Riku,
whose abilities are useful to the village…

Toma Inumaru: Sure thing, wolves.
Rather it be me than him.

Toma Inumaru: Ugh…

Toma Inumaru: I wish these nights
weren’t so long… I know I’m already
prepared to die, but maybe I should think
about this situation a little more,
just in case I live.

Toma Inumaru: Uh, as far as the
fortune-tellers go, I think Mina’s
the real deal.

Toma Inumaru: It feels like he’s
observing the situation, and nervous
about something.

Toma Inumaru: He’s got nerves of steel,
so he’s probably laying low and making
plans. He’d be acting more plucky if he
was on the offense.

Toma Inumaru: He’s an actor, so if he
was trying to lie to us, he’d be talking
a whole lot more. Kinda like Momo-san did.

Toma Inumaru: But on second thought…
He could be laying low to gain our
trust. He does have a habit of acting
all passive in a tense situation.

Toma Inumaru: Hmm…

Toma Inumaru: …No. Maybe he just
doesn’t wanna be found out.

Toma Inumaru: ………
If he’s the real fortune-teller, then
he’ll probably be mad if we don’t trust
him.

Toma Inumaru: And I don’t mean mad in
a blow up in our faces kind of way, more
like a shooting cold glares at us kind
of way…

Toma Inumaru: …Hmm? Am I saying too
much here? Now it definitely feels like
I’ll get murdered later…

Toma Inumaru: …Maybe I should do a
little poking around if I survive the
night.

Toma Inumaru: If I say that I can’t
trust him, and he starts gently trying
to convince me otherwise, then he’s
guilty for sure.

Toma Inumaru: If he gets pissed and
starts berating me, he’s innocent.

Toma Inumaru:……..

Toma Inumaru: Yeah, let’s try that.

- - - -

Mitsuki Izumi: Now that was a twist.
I didn’t think Momo-san was an impostor…

Mitsuki Izumi: Who are the wolves..?

Mitsuki Izumi: Oh, by the way. I know
I said Iori was acting weird last night,
but I don’t think he’s a wolf.

Mitsuki Izumi: He was deducing things
left and right this time. Which means
at least Yaotome, Kujo, Tsunashi-san,
Isumi, or Inumaru has to be a wolf.

Mitsuki Izumi: I don’t think it’s
Isumi… As much as that kid likes to
play the bad boy, he doesn’t seem like
a good liar.

Mitsuki Izumi: Yaotome doesn’t feel
like a wolf to me, so it’s either Inumaru
or Tsunashi-san… But Inumaru doesn’t
exactly give me wolf vibes, either…

Mitsuki Izumi: Tsunashi-san’s bad at
lying too, but he does tend to accomplish
some pretty wild stunts when he wants to.

Mitsuki Izumi: Like when we’re doing
sports, he can be really chill and
straightforward.

Mitsuki Izumi: Which is why I’m
kinda worried he might be a wolf…
Hmm…

Mitsuki Izumi: I dunno!
Who is it, seriously!?

- - - -

Gaku Yaotome: So Nanase’s the medium…

Gaku Yaotome: If I protect him, we’ll
know if Momo-san was a wolf tomorrow.

Gaku Yaotome: I know I’ve been protecting
Tenn this whole time, but tonight, it’s
probably best if I protect him instead.
…Probably.

Gaku Yaotome: Oh, right… The reason
I kept protecting Tenn was because of
what Rokuya and Nikaido said.

Gaku Yaotome: The mediums have more
value to the village than regular humans,
because they can tell who’s a wolf.

Gaku Yaotome: There’s no sense in
protecting the ordinary villagers and
leaving the mediums to fend for themselves.

Gaku Yaotome: I think so, too.
That’s why I picked Tenn, so seems
the most like the real fortune-teller
to me.

Gaku Yaotome: But the wolves keep
ignoring the fortune-tellers and
attacking regular villagers instead…

Gaku Yaotome: Did the wolves fear
Rokuya and Mido, because they considered
those two to be higher value villagers?

Gaku Yaotome: …Why? Probably
because they were smart, and had a good
understanding of how this game works.

Gaku Yaotome: But isn’t it dangerous
to let the real fortune-teller live, when
they might catch you at any moment?

Gaku Yaotome: Then again, Yotsuba’s
still alive and kicking.

Gaku Yaotome: ………
Right, Yotsuba.

Gaku Yaotome: He should’ve been
executed ages ago.

Gaku Yaotome: But then Momo-san
said Yuki-san is a wolf.

Gaku Yaotome: In that moment, the
wolves who know exactly their allies
are should’ve realized…

Gaku Yaotome: That Momo-san’s
a fake.

Gaku Yaotome: Still, by doing as
Momo-san says, the managed to delay
Yotsuba’s execution.

Gaku Yaotome: It’ll take four days
to execute all fortune-tellers, and
we’ve already gotten rid of Momo-san…
What did Mido say, again?

Gaku Yaotome: We lose if there’s
an equal number of wolves and villagers,
so our chances to execute people are…

Gaku Yaotome: One, two, three… Hmm?

Gaku Yaotome: Does this mean that if
we don’t execute Yotsuba soon, we’ll
be in trouble..?

Game Master: Dawn has come.

- - - -

Riku Nanase: Waaah! I’m still alive!

Gaku Yaotome: Any victims!?

Game Master: The wolves struck last
night, leaving behind one victim.

Yamato Nikaido: Uoooh! Who is it!?

Haruka Isumi: Ah! Torao’s gone!

Toma Inumaru: Wait, Tora!?

Yamato Nikaido:Mido..!!!

Iori Izumi: Mido-san was attacked!?

Yamato Nikaido: Mido..! Midoooooo..!
Why did it have to be you..!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Did Yama-san always
like Toracchi this much!?

Toma Inumaru: Good for you, Tora…
There’s someone here to cry for you…

- - - -

Torao Mido: Aah..! I didn’t think
I’d get attacked! Goddammit!

Torao Mido: I have no idea what
the wolves are up to. And where
am I gonna end up now..?

Torao Mido: …….!

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Nagi Rokuya: Welcome!

Sogo Osaka: Well done, Mido-san.

Yuki:Hey there. We’ve got black
soybeans, if you want any.

Torao Mido: Huh..? Wait, this
is the graveyard..?

Sogo Osaka: That’s right. Isn’t
it a relief? We even get a New
Year’s feast.

Torao Mido: Wow, you’re right.
Huh. I guess it wasn’t going to be
a scary place, after all.

Audience:Torao!!!

Torao Mido: What’s up?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Audience:You’re so hot!!!

Torao Mido: Thanks. You guys
are pretty cute, too.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Torao Mido: Hmph…

Yuki:Look who’s trying to
play it cool.

Sogo Osaka: It’s fun to chat so
closely with the audience.

Nagi Rokuya: Yes, fun indeed!
Shall we talk even more?

Torao Mido: Sure, uh…

Torao Mido: You guys have any
New Year’s treats yet?

Audience: I have!

Audience:Not yet!

Audience: I had some mochi!

Audience:No, but I’d like to!

Yuki:Someone said they’d like
to eat something. Feed them.

Torao Mido: Huh?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: I don’t think we’re
allowed to go into the audience
like that…

Yuki:Aw.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Torao Mido: Okay, then. Instead of
you guys, I’ll just have to feed
Sogo here.

Sogo Osaka: Huh?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Nagi Rokuya: Oh, just listen
to those cheers.

Yuki: Feed me too, Nagi-kun.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Nagi Rokuya: I would rather…

Yuki:Not?

Nagi Rokuya: I have usually been
the one people serve, you see.

Yuki:You’re a prince, after all.
Alright then, I’ll feed you.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Torao Mido: Haha… They’re so
into this. I feel better already. You
want a piece of datemaki, Sogo?

Sogo Osaka: No, um…
The datemaki is a bit too big.
I’d rather have something the size
of that chorogi.

Torao Mido:Chorogi?
You mean this thing?

Yuki: Do you want some
chorogi too, Nagi-kun?

Nagi Rokuya: No, no, no…
Whatever that thing is, it looks like
the tiny, red drill of a small devil. I refuse
to put it anywhere near my mouth.

Sogo Osaka: Chorogi, or Chinese artichoke,
is a plant belonging to the perilla family,
and much like ginger, it’s used in medicinal
cooking. It’s said to lenghten your lifespan.

Torao Mido: …Quit talking!
I almost dropped it!

Sogo Osaka: Sorry.

Torao Mido: Mind if I hold you by
the chin while we do this?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Nagi Rokuya: Not to mention, opening
your mouth in front of an audience like this
is considered poor manners in my country…

Yuki:Just stick out your tongue, then.
I won’t mind if you make a face at me.

Nagi Rokuya: ……….
Are you ready?

Yuki: Ready as can be.
Can I hold you by the chin too, though?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Nagi Rokuya:OH... OK, OK. This is a
New Year’s party, after all.

Torao Mido: Here we go.
One, two, three…

Yuki:Pretend this is you, and
watch closely.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Torao & Yuki: Open up.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Nagi & Sogo:Nom.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Yuki: There. That’s a good boy.

Nagi Rokuya: Ugh… That was nerveracking…

Sogo Osaka: It has a nice, tingling
mouthfeel. I can almost feel it
improving my health.

Torao Mido: What is this, a food report?
You always were the conscientious type.

Yuki:Torao-kun, you’ll be our drummer.

Torao Mido:Drummer?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Nagi Rokuya: That leaves only
our vocalist.

Sogo Osaka: 1/1 is coming together
nicely. I can’t wait for our next
member.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaaaa..!!!

Yamato Nikaido: Ah, Mido…
Why…

Tenn Kujo: Don’t tell me,
Mido-san was the second person
whose fortune you read?

Yamato Nikaido:…Yeah…

Tenn Kujo: Don’t you think it’s a
bit too convenient that everyone whose
fortune you’ve read dies?

Yamato Nikaido: It’s not my fault
that the wolves keep killing off the
people I choose, you impostor!

Tenn Kujo: I’m the real fortune-teller.

Minami Natsume: No, that would be me.

Momo:Nope, it’s me!

Gaku Yaotome: Oh yeah, what about
the medium?

Riku Nanase: Should they come forward?

Tenn Kujo: Before that, I think
it’s best to get results from all of
the fortune-tellers. Especially since
Nikaido-san already revealed his.

Mitsuki Izumi: Good idea.
I’ll do the countdown.

Mitsuki Izumi: Three, two, one…

Mitsuki Izumi: Zero.

Tenn Kujo: I read Nanase-san’s
fortune. He’s a villager.

Minami Natsume: Iori Izumi is a villager.

Momo:Haruka Isumi is a wolf!

Haruka Isumi: Huh!?

Toma Inumaru: Haru’s a wolf!?

Haruka Isumi: N-no..!
I’m not a wolf! I swear!

Momo: Sorry, Haruka.
I saw right through you.

Riku Nanase: Wait, no!
I think he’s wrong!

Haruka Isumi: Nanase…

Iori Izumi: What do you mean,
Nanase-san?

Riku Nanase: Now that the fortune-
tellers have made their reports,
can I make mine?

Riku Nanase: I’m the medium!

Mitsuki Izumi: Oh, so it was Riku!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’m glad our
medium was still alive! What were
Yuki-san’s results?

Riku Nanase: Yuki-san, who we executed
yesterday…

Riku Nanase: …Was a villager!

Mitsuki & Toma: What..!?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: So, Momo-san
isn’t a real fortune-teller!?

Momo:That can’t be. I’m the real deal.
Are you sure you’re not the fake here, Riku?

Riku Nanase: I’m real! And by the way,
Sogo-san was a villager, too.

Gaku Yaotome: If Nanase’s a fake, then
the real medium should step up now.

Gaku Yaotome: Last chance.

Iori Izumi: ………

Haruka Isumi:……….

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:………
It doesn’t look like anyone else
wants to claim the spot of medium.

Toma Inumaru: So Riku’s the real one…

Momo: Not necessarily. It’s always
possible that Sogo, Nagi, or Torao
was the real medium.

Momo:Don’t let this wolf fool you.

Riku Nanase: I’m not a wolf!
And I’m sure Haruka-kun isn’t
one, either!

Haruka Isumi: I’m not! Since
I don’t have any special role,
I can’t prove it…

Haruka Isumi: Still not a wolf,
though!

Tamaki Yotsuba:Isumin…

Haruka Isumi: Cut it out, Yotsuba!
Don’t look at me like we’re on the
same side!

Riku Nanase: Don’t be fooled,
guys!

Riku Nanase: This is the same
tactic Tamaki used to frame Sogo-san,
remember!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I didn’t frame him!
I didn’t! It was an accident..!

Mitsuki Izumi: Tamaki, who’s on your
side? Momo-san or Isumi?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m not telling!!!
Quit looking at my face!!! It’s gonna
give you hints!

Mitsuki Izumi: What’s that
supposed to mean? Iori, what do
you make out of all of this?

Iori Izumi: I think Momo-san is lying.

Mitsuki Izumi: …How come?

Momo:Why, Iorin!?

Iori Izumi: Because the results
of your reading were incorrect.
You claimed Yuki-san was a wolf.

Riku Nanase: But he wasn’t!

Iori Izumi: I know. Let me finish.

Iori Izumi: We have four people
here, all of whom claim to be the
fortune-teller.

Iori Izumi: In other words, we have
one real fortune-teller, one madman,
one wolf, and one fox.

Iori Izumi: If Nanase-san is the
medium, and the hunter is still hiding
somewhere, then we don’t have anyone else
here who could pretend to be a fortune-teller.

Riku Nanase: I, guess..?

Iori Izumi: What’s crucial here
is the amount of wolves.

Iori Izumi: There are three wolves
in total. One is Yotsuba-san. One is
among the fortune-tellers.

Iori Izumi: But, if Momo-san is
to be believed…

Momo:………

Mitsuki Izumi: Yuki-san would be
the third… And Isumi the 4th!
That’s four wolves!

Toma Inumaru: Oooh, you’re right!
Good thinking, Izumi!

Mitsuki Izumi: Who, me?

Iori Izumi: Or me?

Toma Inumaru: Both of you!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Wow..! It feels
like we’re one step closer to solving
this mystery!

Haruka Isumi: Izumi, you’re so cool..!

Iori Izumi: Hmph… I haven’t done
anything that immpressive.

Iori Izumi:Nanase-san.
Now do you understand?

Riku Nanase:……..?
Yeah..? I guess…

Iori Izumi: Ah, it doesn’t seem
like you do… And here I thought
I could finally make you respect me.

Riku Nanase: You did great, Iori!

Iori Izumi: Stop elbowing me.

Haruka Isumi: Ugh, that was scary!
I thought my heart would stop when
he said I was a wolf.

Tenn Kujo: So, is Momo-san the
next person we execute?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I guess so.
Ah, but what about Tamaki-kun?

Iori Izumi: We can take care of
him tomorrow. Especially since his
face seems to give us hints now.

Tamaki Yotsuba: It does NOT!!!

Iori Izumi: Personally, I think
Momo-san’s schemes are a bigger
threat.

Mitsuki Izumi: I guess so.
So tonight it’s Momo-san?

Gaku Yaotome: Yeah. I can’t believe
you’d lie about Yuki-san being a
wolf like that, Momo-san.

Momo:It’s not a lie! It’s what
my fortune told me. Are you guys sure
Tamaki even is a werewolf?

Tamaki Yotsuba:I…
I’m actually a villager.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: We won’t fall
for that one… Wait, is he a wolf..?

Toma Inumaru: Don’t be fooled
just because he’s making puppy eyes.
Should we execute Yotsuba first,
after all?

Momo:Toma! Haruka’s a wolf!
Execute him, not me!

Toma Inumaru: …Don’t be fooled
by this guy, either.

Mitsuki Izumi: Let’s go with Momo-san!
We’ve got Riku to tell us if he was a
wolf.

Riku Nanase:Yeah!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: But what if
Riku-kun gets attacked tonight?

Riku Nanase: Huh..!?

Tenn Kujo: He does have a special
role, after all. Let’s hope the hunter
will have his back.

Iori Izumi: If they’re still
in our midst.

Gaku Yaotome: I dunno…

Toma Inumaru: Maybe it was Tora.
He was taking this game pretty
seriously.

Minami Natsume: Perhaps so…
Is there anyone whose fortune you’d
like me to read?

Haruka Isumi: You take requests?

Minami Natsume: Of course. I want
to give this village information
that’ll benefit us all.

Yamato Nikaido: Same here.

Tenn Kujo: And here.

Tenn Kujo: I’ve been keeping quiet
in order to avoid suspicion, but…

Tenn Kujo: Don’t forget my results.
Nanase-san and Gaku are confirmed to
be villagers.

Minami Natsume: We cannot trust an
imposter’s readings. Isumi-san and
Iori Izumi are villagers.

Momo:Yuki and Haruka are wolves,
I tell you!

Haruka Isumi: I am not! What were
your results again, Nikaido-san?

Yamato Nikaido:………
Nagi and Mido were villagers…

Haruka Isumi: That’s not exactly
new information… Since everyone
who gets attacked is sure to be
a villager.

Yamato Nikaido: Fine. So give
me someone whose fortune to read
tonight.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What, right now!?
I’m not sure if we have the time.

Iori Izumi: Why not have the
fortune-tellers read each other?

Yamato Nikaido: I considered it,
but it’d just devolve into us calling
each other wolves.

Iori Izumi: But you could also
kill the fox.

Minami Natsume: I thought our
plan was to execute all fortune-tellers
as a last resort?

Minami Natsume: As the true fortune-teller,
I’d like for the village to have as much
information as possible.

Iori Izumi:…Right.

Minami Natsume: If it’s alright
by you all, I’ll read Mitsuki Izumi’s
fortune.

Mitsuki Izumi: Me? Uh, thanks.

Tenn Kujo: If nobody’s got any special
requests, I’ll read Ryu. Is that okay?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I don’t mind.
I’ve got nothing to hide.

Yamato Nikaido: I feel like reading
people’s fortunes at random isn’t gonna
help us much… Fine, I’ll read Inumaru.

Toma Inumaru: Got it. I’m not
afraid of fortune reads, anyway.

Riku Nanase: Does everyone have
a target now?

Tenn Kujo: Yes, but you should
only trust mine.

Minami Natsume: Pay no heed to
fortunes other than mine.

Yamato Nikaido: Inumaru…
Please don’t die… I’m serious…

Toma Inumaru: Uh, okay.

Mitsuki Izumi: It’d be pretty funny
if you were the real fortune-teller and the
wolves just kept killing everyone whose
fortune you read.

Yamato Nikaido: Give me a break already…
Those wolves and I think way too alike.

Minami Natsume: Or so you say.

Iori Izumi: By the way, everyone.
Who do you think is the real fortune-teller?

Riku Nanase: I think it’s Te… Tenn Kujo.

Iori Izumi: I think it’s Yamato Nikaido.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I think it’s
probablyTenn Kujo

Haruka Isumi: Huh? Why are we all
using their full names?

Toma Inumaru: What do yo think, Haru?

Haruka Isumi: Minami Natsume… is the
one I’d like to trust, but Tenn Kujoseems
like he might be real, too.

Toma Inumaru: I see… They all
seem pretty authentic to me. What
about you, Yotsuba?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Me? Uh…

Tenn Kujo: You’re a wolf, though.

Toma Inumaru: Oh, right!

Momo: Ask me, too!

Toma Inumaru: It’s about time for
you to leave, actually.

Momo:Nuuuuu! I wanna stay wif u guise!

Tenn Kujo: Have fun reuniting with
Yuki-san on the graveyard.

Mitsuki Izumi: And don’t get into
a fight, you hear?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Tell So-chan
I said hi!

Momo: Waaaah! I’m sad that I have to go,
but on the other hand, joining Yuki in
death will prove our love to you all!

Momo:And we’re closer friends than MEZZO"!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah, well, I’m gonna
die soon too..!

Game Master: And the result of the
vote is…

Game Master: Momo will be executed.

Game Master: Night has fallen.

Game Master: The loser of the vote
will be taken to the execution site.

Game Master: The wolves must select
their prey.

Game Master: The fortune-teller must
select whose fortune to read, and the
hunter must decide who to protect.

Game Master: As for all the others,
they can only hold their breath and
wait for this frightful night to end…

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 7: Nighttime Stategy Meetings ~Day 2~

Chapter Index

Iori Izumi: Phew… Momo-san…

Tenn Kujo: He’s really something…

Iori Izumi: He’s almost too good
at his job…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Guys, are we sure
Yukirin’s not a wolf, too?

Iori Izumi: Yes, obviously. Momo-san
was only trying to protect you.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Huh!? Me!?

Tenn Kujo: Momo-san’s most likely
the madman. That’s why he framed Yuki-san,
so you could escape execution a second time.

Tenn Kujo: Tomorrow, he’ll ask to be
executed, meaning you’ll still be alive
by the day after tomorrow.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Momorin really did
all that for me..!?

Iori Izumi: It’s practically a
miracle that you’re still alive, after
your little coming out on the first day.
Momo-san’s done everything he can to
keep you alive.

Iori Izumi: You should face his
direction and say “thank you”,
at least.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Wait, where is
he!? Momorin, thanks a lot!!!

Iori Izumi: Thank you.

Tenn Kujo: Thank you very much,
Momo-san. To think that you’d
even sacrifice Yuki-san…

Tamaki Yotsuba: I wonder if
Yukirin’s mad. Also, does this mean
I don’t get to go to the graveyard
tomorrow, either?

Iori Izumi: Is that a problem?

Tamaki Yotsuba: It’s just…
I really wanna apologize to
So-chan soon…

Tenn Kujo: Yotsuba-san.
Two or three days don’t make that
much of a difference here.

Tenn Kujo: He’ll be equally angry
at you regardless.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Aaaah, I guess…
Okay! I’m gonna live the life I got
from Re:vale to my fullest!

Iori Izumi: That’s the spirit.
So, who shall we kill tonight?

Tenn Kujo: Maybe Mido-san…
With all the calculations he’s been
making, he’ll notice if the villagers’
numbers start getting low.

Iori Izumi: I think so, too.
He’ll be a dangerous player if he
gets too used to this.

Tamaki Yotsuba: But Toracchi seemed
pretty reliable to me. Like, I think
he’s probably one of the good guys.

Iori Izumi: And someone who’s
a “good guy” to the villagers is an
enemy to us.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Oh, right.

Tenn Kujo: Nikaido-san is probably
the real fortune-teller. When he tried
to cover for Yuki-san, he seemed really
protective of the village in general.

Iori Izumi: That’s right.
Nikaido-san is a sincere person
at heart.

Tenn Kujo: The fact that he gave
up on his defense to protect himself
also tells me that he’s the real deal.

Iori Izumi: That’s right.
Nikaido-san is also very quick
to give up.

Iori Izumi: His primary enemies
right now are you, Momo-san, and
Natsume-san….

Iori Izumi: …And he doesn’t have
much faith in himself, so he must
be very disheartened right now.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah. Even though
he’s done a pretty good job of being
our group’s leader.

Tenn Kujo: I’m sure Nikaido-san could
never have foreseen that his teammates
would be saying this about him, just
because he was chosen as the fortune-
teller in a game of werewolf.

Tenn Kujo: I suppose that leaves
Natsume-san as the fox, then.

Tamaki Yotsuba: He’s totally
got a fox vibe.

Iori Izumi: He does seem like
he’d like inari sushi.

Tenn Kujo: Hopefully he’ll be
cursed by Nikaido-san.

Tamaki Yotsuba: What about the
medium? If it’s Rikkun, then shouldn’t
we attack him?

Tamaki Yotsuba: If he’s dead,
nobody will know that Yukirin was
a villager.

Iori Izumi: It’ll be more beneficial
to us if we let Momo-san be caught in
a lie and get executed.

Tenn Kujo: Otherwise, it’ll be you
hanging at the end of the next
rope, Yotsuba-san.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Oh, right. That
was part of Momorin’s plan, too.
Thanks again, Momorin…

Iori Izumi: Besides, if we kill
Nanase-san before he has a chance to
play the part of the medium, he’ll most
likely complain to us later.

Tenn Kujo: Yeah, probably…

Iori Izumi: He’ll say something along
the lines of “Iori, you meanie! Waaahh!”

Tamki Yotsuba: Huh? And what’s that
got to do with the game?

Iori Izumi:Nothing.

Tamaki Yotsuba: And So-chan’s
already mad at me, anyway!

Iori Izumi: No, he’s not.
Osaka-san is more reasonable than that.

Tenn Kujo: I’m sure he’ll understand.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Really!? Hey…
Just in case he’s mad, can you
apologize to him with me..?

Iori Izumi: No, he’s too scary.

Tamaki Yotsuba:Iorin!?

Tenn Kujo: Our prey for the night
is Mido-san. As for my fortune reading,
this time I’ll say that Nanase-san is a
villager.

Iori Izumi: Understood.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Got it…

Yuki: Huh… This place is warmer
than I expected…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Nagi Rokuya: Welcome, Mister Yuki!

Sogo Osaka: Welcome. Good work out there.

Yuki:Ah, so this is what the graveyard
looks like.

Yuki: They’ve even brought food.
Looks delicious.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Audience:Yuki!

Audience: Look over here!

Yuki:Where?

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yuki:Wanna look at my beauty mark?
Let me just get my hair out of the way,
so you can all see.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Nagi Rokuya: You must have had
it very rough, Mister Yuki. Mister
Momo is a skilled player indeed!

Yuki:Did you guys see that?
Just how did Momo get so good
at lying?

Sogo Osaka: I don’t know.

Yuki:Sigh… He wasn’t always
like that. Showbiz changes people.
…Well that, and being friends with
a certain fox-faced guy.

Audience: You mean Minami-kun?

Yuki:Minami..?

Nagi Rokuya: Natsume-shi is the fox.

Yuki: I had no idea.

Audience: Hang in there, Yuki!

Yuki:I can’t. I’m already dead.

Audience:Ahahahaha!

Sogo Osaka: Ah, what would you
like to drink? We have wine… or
sake, if you’d prefer.

Yuki:We’re allowed to drink? Well,
since it’s the New Year, a nice,
refined sake should do.

Sogo Osaka: I’ll pour you a cup.
Here you are.

Yuki:You’re so nice, Sogo-kun.
Should we form a unit together?

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yuki: Nagi-kun, you too.

Nagi Rokuya: What shall we
call ourselves?

Yuki:What do you think, Sogo-kun?

Sogo Osaka: Um, well…

Sogo Osaka: “January First”?

Audience:Ahahahaha!

Sogo Osaka: Ah… They’re laughing.

Nagi Rokuya: OH! January First.
A name that will always remind us
of the day we were formed. Very nice!

Yuki:We can shorten it to 1/1.
Okay. And what instruments will we
all play? You look like you could
play the keyboard, Nagi-kun.

Sogo Osaka: Ah, so it’s more of
a band. Um… I’m not sure… My
hands are getting sweaty…

Yuki:Really?

Sogo Osaka:Eek..!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yuki:Ah, I guess you’re right.
And what’s with the “eek”, silly?

Sogo Osaka: Nagi-kun, Nagi-kun.

Nagi Rokuya: What?

Sogo Osaka: I’m sober again.

Nagi Rokuya: Thank you for
letting me know.

Audience:Ahahahaha!

Nagi Rokuya: I will play the keyboard.
Will you play the guitar, Sogo?

Sogo Osaka: I wouldn’t dare, not
with Yuki-san here!

Yuki:It’s fine, I’ll be the bassist.
Bass players are typically the sexiest
members of the band, anyway.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: I’m sure you’d be a
very cool and sexy bassist..!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: I’ll… play the guitar,
then. Oh, man… My heart won’t stop
racing.

Yuki: Whoa, I can feel your pulse
just by touching your wrist.

Yuki:Thump, thump, thumpthumpthump.

Sogo Osaka: It’s really irregular…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Yuki:I don’t know why you
sound so happy about it.

Sogo Osaka: I thought my heartbeat
could play the drums for us. It’s
clearly got a unique rhythm.

Nagi Rokuya: Are you sure that is
not caused by the alcohol?

Audience:Ahahahaha!

Nagi Rokuya: OH! But before we
choose a vocalist, let us check in
on the others!

- - - -

Yamato Nikaido:Ah…

Yamato Nikaido: I should’ve left
Yuki-san to fend for himself…
Either that, or actually followed
through with helping him.

Yamato Nikaido: Instead, I half-assed
both. No wonder people suspect me…

Yamato Nikaido: I have to say,
Momo-san is freaking scary. Who just
throws their own partner under the bus
like that? I mean, seriously…

Yamato Nikaido: Then again…
Maybe it’s because they’re Re:vale
that they can do that, and just forgive
and forget it all later.

Yamato Nikaido: Still, they’re
really something…

Yamato Nikaido: Alright. This time,
I’ll find a wolf! Or at least a villager
who won’t die right away!

Yamato Nikaido: If my reading finds
a live villager, I’ll do everything
I can to keep them alive!

Yamato Nikaido: I’ll protect you,
whether you want me to or not..!

Yamato Nikaido: On that note, I’ll
read Mido’s fortune. He’s seemed like
a villager so far, but he’d also make
a pretty scary wolf. …Wait, didn’t
I say that about Nagi last night?

Yamato Nikaido: Hmm… No, I’ll
go with Mido. There’s no way he’ll
get attacked.

Yamato Nikaido: If he does, I guess
I’ll have to marry whichever wolf chose
him. We’re clearly on the same wavelength.

Yamato Nikaido: I’m counting on
you, Mido..!

- - - -

Torao Mido: One, two, three…
We’re really cutting it close, huh.

Torao Mido: If we’re gonna
execute all the fortune-tellers,
we have to start doing it as soon
as we execute Yotsuba tomorrow.

Torao Mido: If the hunter succeeds
in protecting someone, that gives
us an extra day.

Torao Mido: But with four fortune-
tellers running around, I bet the hunter’s
having a really hard time choosing who to
shield… It’d be easier if the medium
came forward already.

Torao Mido: …Oh, I get it now.
So that’s who the wolves are.
Interesting.

Torao Mido: Among the fortune-tellers,
we’ve got one real one, one madman,
one wolf, and one fox.

Torao Mido: Momo-san could be the
real one, but if he’s not, that makes
him either a wolf or the madman.

Torao Mido: The reason why he’s
making these bold plays could be
because he knows he’s got allies
he can count on.

Torao Mido: Meanwhile, the fox plays
alone. They lose automatically if
they die, so they can’t do anything
reckless.

Torao Mido: If Yuki-san was a wolf,
then Nikaido should be our next suspect.
But if Yuki-san was a villager, Nikaido is
probably the real fortune-teller.

Torao Mido: In the first scenario,
he defended Yuki-san because he didn’t
want a fellow wolf to be out of the game.
In the second scenario, he defended Yuki-san
because he didn’t want a fellow villager
to be out of the game.

Torao Mido: Why do you think Nikaido
did what he did?

Torao Mido: Minami’s…

Torao Mido: …Probably the fox…
He’s been awfully quiet this whole time.
It’s like he’s trying to lie low.

Torao Mido: Haha, what a scary guy.
He’s like a snake, waiting to swallow
a toad whole.

Torao Mido: All things considered, we
should probably execute him, but I don’t
wanna be the one to suggest it…

Torao Mido: He’s sure to claim
that I’m a wolf if I do… I know
him well enough to know that’s
something he’ll do.

Torao Mido: Either way, it all
depends on Yuki-san’s results. If
he’s a villager, then I’ll try to
help bail Nikaido out.

Torao Mido: Or at least convince
the others that he’s the last fortune-
teller we should kill.

- - - -

Momo:Phew…

Momo:God, I have fulfilled
my duty. A weight has been lifted
off my heart.

Momo: I’ll join you soon enough,
Yuki.

Momo:Don’t get too friendly
with the other graveyard boys
while I’m gone, mmkay?

Momo: I hope I’ll at least get
executed before Tamaki tomorrow.

Momo:All I need is to draw
attention to myself, so they’ll
forget about him.

Momo:My dear wolfies, may you
feast on a most delectable villager
tonight! Don’t lose to those darn
humans!

Momo: I have your back!

- - - -

Minami Natsume: Still alive.

Minami Natsume: Yip yip.

Minami Natsume: Ugh… I wonder
who the true fortune-teller is…

Minami Natsume: The one man who
can kill me… I do hope they get
executed or attacked soon…

Minami Natsume: Dear wolves,
please sink your teeth into whoever
the real fortune-teller is soon.
Signed, Fox Spirit.

Minami Natsume: Perhaps it’s
Nikaido-san. He didn’t seem to be
acting earlier. Neither did Yuki-san…

Minami Natsume: As for me, tomorrow
I will proclaim someone confident and
logical, such as Iori Izumi or Mido-san,
as a villager.

Minami Natsume: …But which one..?

Minami Natsume: Izumi-san it is.

Minami Natsume: Congratulations on
being chosen by me.

Mitsuki Izumi: Considering how
confident he was back there, Momo-san’s
gotta be the real fortune-teller…

Mitsuki Izumi: I mean, why would he
lie, when he knows we’ll find out
tomorrow, anyway?

Mitsuki Izumi: He’d just get executed next.

Mitsuki Izumi: The fact that he’s
not afraid at all must mean that
he’s telling the truth.

Mitsuki Izumi: Hmm… The geezer seemed
genuine, too. Then again, he’s always
been a great actor.

Mitsuki Izumi: I wish I could play
it cool and say that I can see
through my own teammates, but…

Mitsuki Izumi: With Yamato-san,
you can never be completely sure…

Mitsuki Izumi: …At least not when
you take his track record into account.
But, still… Hmm…

Mitsuki Izumi: If it turns out he can
even fake being all flustered, like he
was back there, then I won’t know what
to believe anymore.

Mitsuki Izumi: This is hard…
Something’s off here… Ah, speaking
of which.

Mitsuki Izumi: Iori.

Mitsuki Izumi: Is it just my
imagination, or has he been acting
weird?

Mitsuki Izumi: I thought he’d be more
active in a game that makes you use
your brains as much as this one.

Mitsuki Izumi: Maybe he’s trying
not to hog the spotlight, because
there’s so many players?

Mitsuki Izumi: I should keep an
eye on him tomorrow.

Gaku Yaotome:………

Gaku Yaotome: …Is Momo-san
the real one?

Gaku Yaotome: The wolves went after
Rokuya, instead of the fortune-tellers.

Gaku Yaotome: Are they gonna go
after someone else tonight, too?
Who should I protect..?

Gaku Yaotome:………

Gaku Yaotome: After Rokuya, their
next target would be…

Gaku Yaotome: No, but if I fail
to protect Tenn this round, I’ll
regret it for the rest of my life.

Gaku Yaotome: I’ll protect Tenn,
since that was my original plan.

Gaku Yaotome: Come at me, wolves!

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 6: Who Are the Wolves? ~Day 2~

Chapter Index

Game Master: Dawn has come.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:Morning…

Toma Inumaru: Good morning…

Game Master: The wolves struck last
night, leaving behind one victim.

Momo: Who died?

Tenn Kujo: The only person who
isn’t here…

Mitsuki Izumi: Nagi!

Yamato Nikaido: Ah..! Nagi..!

Torao Mido: So the hunter didn’t
protect Rokuya, after all!?

Gaku Yaotome: Hunter…

Minami Natsume: The fact that he was
killed confirms him as a villager.

Iori Izumi: Osaka-san and Rokuya-san…
Two members of IDOLiSH7 have disappeared
from this village.

Haruka Isumi: I wonder where they
go after they die…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Thrown outside,
or into boiling hot water…

Nagi Rokuya:OH..! I was attacked!

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: Welcome, Nagi-kun.

Nagi Rokuya: OH! Hi, girls!

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Audience:Nagi!

Audience:Nagi-kun..!

Nagi Rokuya: Have I gone to heaven?

Sogo Osaka: Hehehe… Look, we
have a New Year’s feast.

Nagi Rokuya:OH…Sogo…
Is that a sake cup in your hand?
You know alcohol is a dangerous
substance for you.

Sogo Osaka: Don’t worry about it.

Audience:Ahahaha!

Sogo Osaka: This isn’t a cup, it’s more
of a jug. And I’m only drinking amazake,
so it’s fine.

Nagi Rokuya: And yet, you seem
awfully energetic…

Sogo Osaka: That’s because it’s
New Year’s day! Right, everyone?

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: Hehe. Cute.
You’re all so cute.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Nagi Rokuya: Agreed. Hi! Show me your
best smiles, to commemorate the year!

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Audience:Nagi, I love you..!

Audience:You’re so handsome..!

Nagi Rokuya: Oh, how incredible
this feels. I am glad to have died.

Audience:Ahahaha!

Nagi Rokuya: By the way, who
were the wolves?

Sogo Osaka: Here, we can check
using this remote. Ah… It looks
like we can’t watch the daytime
portions of the game.

Nagi Rokuya: Did you see the
wolves’ meeting?

Sogo Osaka: Yes. The wolves were
Tamaki-kun, Iori-kun, and Kujo-san.

Nagi Rokuya:OH! Kujo-shi. And
what of the hunter? Who were they,
and who did they protect?

Sogo Osaka: Yaotome-san is the
hunter. He protected Kujo-san.

Nagi Rokuya:OH! Shielding the enemy…

Sogo Osaka: Typical TRIGGER.
They care for their teammates.

Sogo Osaka: Compared to them,
MEZZO" was, well…

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Nagi Rokuya: I am sure Tamaki will
be here by tonight. Let us await
his arrival.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

- - - -

Riku Nanase: Nagi was so reliable…
I hope he’s having fun with Sogo-san,
at least.

Torao Mido: Minami, what’s the
result of your fortune?

Minami Natsume: Shall I announce
it right away?

Iori Izumi: We should hold another
countdown for the results, so it’ll
be harder for the fake fortune-tellers
to lie.

Mitsuki Izumi: Won’t it make the
results harder to hear, if they’re all
speaking at the same time?

Iori Izumi: We’ll have them repeat
their results afterwards. As long as
we make sure that they don’t change
their statements halfway, we should
be fine.

Torao Mido: It’ll be twice as much
effort, but I suppose it’s better than
letting the fakes wait it out and come
up with lies that suit them.

Mitsuki Izumi: Got it. I’ll do
the countdown, then.

Mitsuki Izumi: Three, two, one…

Mitsuki Izumi: Zero.

Tenn Kujo: I read Gaku’s fortune.
He’s a villager.

Momo:Yuki’s a wolf.

Yamato Nikaido: Nagi was a villager.

Minami Natsume: Isumi-san is a villager.

Gaku Yaotome: Wait, what!?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Ah… Huh!?

Iori Izumi: A wolf!?

Haruka Isumi: Ah, he read mine…
Wait, what wolf?

Mitsuki Izumi: Momo-san, did you
just say you found a wolf?

Momo: Yep. Yuki’s a wolf.

Yuki:………

Gaku Yaotome: Care to explain
yourself, Yuki-san?

Yuki:Who, me?

Momo: Yikes! I can’t believe you
were a wolf all along, Yuki!

Momo:Here I thought I’d expose you
as a fellow villager, so  we could live
out our romantic village life together!

Yuki:I’m not a wolf, though.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: So, is Momo-san
lying?

Mitsuki Izumi: They can’t both be
telling the truth, that’s for sure…

Yuki:Wow, Momo…

Yuki:So that’s your game.

Momo:Stop it, Yuki…
Don’t look at me like that..!

Yuki:Oh, okay then…

Momo: When you make that face, you
make me want to hide the results of
my readings, even though I’m this
town’s one and only fortune-teller!

Momo:Oh, I wish a wolf would
just come and kill me now!

Yuki:Momo. Look me in the eye,
and say it one more time.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Momo:Stop it..! If you come any
closer, I’ll want to defend you..!

Toma Inumaru: I’d rather you just
did your job, truth be told.

Audience:Ahahahaha!

Momo: Waaaaah! Our love has become
forbidden! Re:vale has been torn
apart by the wolves!

Yuki:Why you… I’ll get you
for this…

Riku Nanase: Yuki-san, please
don’t get mad! Look how sad you’re
making Momo-san!

Mitsuki Izumi: Exactly! You’ll just
have to let us execute you today.

Yuki:You’re kidding, right?

Yamato Nikaido: Wait…

Yamato Nikaido: Don’t you guys
think you’re jumping the gun a
little..?

Mitsuki Izumi: What do you mean,
geezer?

Yamato Nikaido: I’m… pretty sure
Yuki-san’s a villager.

Gaku Yaotome: How can you tell?
It’s not like you read his fortune,
Nikaido.

Yamato Nikaido: Yeah, but…
I’m still the real fortune-teller.

Yamato Nikaido: To me, whoever gets
called out as a wolf by the other ones
is probably just a victim of their
schemes, or something…

Yuki: Oh, nice going, Yamato-kun.
C'mon, keep talking. I know you can
protect me.

Momo:Nope, I’m the real fortune-teller.
How can we be sure that you’re not
just trying to look out for one of
your fellow wolves, Yamato?

Yamato Nikaido: Wait, no, I’m not
a wolf! Okay, fine. We can execute
Yuki-san tonight.

Yuki:Yamato-kun!?

Torao Mido: You sure changed your
tune quickly… Didn’t you read Rokuya’s
fortune, Nikaido?

Yamato Nikaido: Yeah…

Torao Mido: Claiming that you
confirmed one of the people that died
as a villager is just about the easiest
lie you could tell…

Yamato Nikaido:………

Mitsuki Izumi: Still, Yamato-san did
suspect Nagi a lot yesterday, so it’s
not that unusual for him to want to
try doing a reading on him.

Torao Mido: Good point.

Yuki:Yamato-kun. C'mon.

Yamato Nikaido:………

Yuki:You can do it. C'moooon.

Yamato Nikaido: …Actually, feel
free to hang this guy.

Yuki:What!?

Yamato Nikaido: I thought we might
be going after an innocent man, but
on second thought, he could totally
be a wolf…

Yamato Nikaido: There’s also a
possibility that he’s the fox, and
honestly, I’d rather it be him than me.

Yuki: …I see…

Yamato Nikaido:………

Yamato Nikaido: Or maybe he IS a
villager!? He’s kinda giving me big
villager vibes right now…

Gaku Yaotome: This is really tough!
Especially since these two are both
actors.

Minami Natsume: When they join
forces, they’re a formidable foe
indeed…

Yamato Nikaido: We haven’t joined
forces, I swear. I wouldn’t want
anything to do with him, anyway.

Momo: I can’t believe Yuki’s been
seeing other people behind my back!
I’m sooooo jealous right now..!

Yuki: I’m pretty damn jealous that my
partner’s been taken from me by the
wolves too, just so you know.

Audience:Kyaaaaaaa..!

Torao Mido: So let me get this
straight. Yotsuba, Nikaido, and Yuki-san
are all in cahoots with each other?

Yamato Nikaido: We are NOT in cahoots,
I repeat, NOT in cahoots. Please just
hang this guy already.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Uh, hold on.
Can I ask something?

Yamato Nikaido: Shut it, wolf boy.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Quit calling me
wolf boy!!!

Tamaki Yotsuba: So, we’re executing
Yukirin tonight? Not me?

Momo: I’d rather we start with
Yuki, and here’s why.

Momo:Unless Sogo or Nagi was the
medium, we still have one left in
this village.

Momo: I’ve exposed Yuki as a wolf,
so we can execute him tonight. Tomorrow
morning, the medium can confirm whether
he was a villager or not.

Momo:I can confidently say
that Yuki’s a wolf.

Momo: If the medium can confirm
that I’m right, then you’ll all have
an easier time trusting me, too.

Momo:It’s going to give us a better
idea of who’s who. I mean, it’s not like
we have to execute Tamaki to know if he’s
a wolf or not, but with Yuki, we can’t
be sure yet.

Iori Izumi: I suppose… It certainly
would be nice to have the extra information.

Gaku Yaotome: It’ll also let us know
if Momo-san’s lying or not.

Momo:Exactly. And that’s why
I want us to hang Yuki before Tamaki.
What do you all think?

Haruka Isumi: …I’m fine with it.
I kinda feel like I can trust you
anyway, Momo-san.

Momo:Thanks. I’m sure you’ll
trust me even more tomorrow morning!

Haruka Isumi: Okay!

Torao Mido: I just hope the medium
is still alive. They haven’t come
forward yet.

Tenn Kujo: Judging by the fact that
they haven’t, Osaka-san must’ve
been a villager.

Momo:Maybe. I definitely hope
they’re still kicking, or else we
won’t know be able to confirm that
Yuki’s a wolf tomorrow.

Toma Inumaru: So… Yuki-san’s getting
executed tonight?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: If it’s between
him and Tamaki-kun, then I guess so…
I’m curious to see the results of
this execution, myself.

Yuki:Ryunosuke-kun…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’m sorry,
Yuki-san…

Torao Mido: Oh, by the way.
I calculated exactly how many times
we can accidentally execute a villager
last night, so I thought I’d let you
all know.

Torao Mido: We’ve got three wolves and
one fox. That’s four monsters in total.
Five, if we count the madman as well.

Torao Mido: If we fail to execute
even a single monster, then we have
five days until we have the same number
of players on both sides, and the
villagers lose.

Toma Inumaru: Really!? And we’re
already on our second day…

Torao Mido: We have until the
day after tomorrow to execute at
least Yotsuba.

Yuki:I’m impressed you
actually thought that far.

Mitsuki Izumi: That’s the kind of
math you’d be good at too, Iori.
Did you think about this at all?

Iori Izumi: More or less. Since
we’ve still got plenty of days left,
I think we should execute Yuki-san
tonight.

Torao Mido: If we’re going to
execute every fortune-teller, then
we really don’t have that much time
left.

Torao Mido: The madman counts as
a villager, but they’ll vote in the wolves’
favor, so we’ve got to be careful.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Hopefully we’ll
know if Momo-san’s telling the truth
tomorrow, and things will get easier!

Gaku Yaotome: Yeah!

Iori Izumi: Failure will have
disastrous consequences. Let’s all
be on our guard.

Riku Nanase: Yeah. Well then,
Yuki-san. We hate to do this, but…

Yuki:I see…

Yuki:……….

Yuki: I’ve lived in this village
for over 20 years now… And I’ve
shared so many memories with you all.

Mitsuki Izumi: Looks like he’s
starting some kinda monologue.

Yamato Nikaido: Or a one man
play, even.

Yuki: I’ll never forget the time
we all sang “miss you…” at the foot
of that big tree on the hill.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Why’d we all
sing that song, anyway..?

Torao Mido: I guess we were all
dealing with an unrequited love at
the same time..?

Momo:I’ll never forget it
either, Yuki…

Yuki:Tonight, you’ll hang me.
Yet despite knowing this, I can’t
condemn you.

Yuki: Listen well, my dear pupils.

Tenn Kujo: Oh, so he’s a teacher now.

Toma Inumaru: Seems that way.

Riku Nanase: Don’t go, Mr. Yuki!!!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi:Sir..!

Mitsuki Izumi: We don’t want you to die!

Yuki:Thank you. You always did
go along with my jokes.

Yuki:Tomorrow morning…

Yuki: You’ll know true fear.

Yuki: But you mustn’t lose courage,
if you are to continue protecting
the village.

Mitsuki Izumi: Mr. Yuki..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Mr. Yuki..!!!
Iorin, Isumin, you guys say it too!

Haruka Isumi: M-Mr. Yuki..!

Iori Izumi: …Mr. Yuki..!

Yuki:Farewell.

Yuki:Adieu.

[Whistle]

Game Master: And the result of the
vote is…

Game Master: Yuki will be executed.

Game Master: Night has fallen.

Game Master: The loser of the vote
will be taken to the execution site.

Game Master: The wolves must select
their prey.

Game Master: The fortune-teller must
select whose fortune to read, and the
hunter must decide who to protect.

Game Master: As for all the others,
they can only hold their breath and
wait for this frightful night to end…

Yuki:…Momo…

Yuki:You make a terrifying enemy…
But that’s just another thing I love
about you.

Yuki:Ah… Some kind of scary guys
are here to get me… Oh no…

Yuki:Ugh… I hope it’s not
cold outside…

[Door slams]

Sogo Osaka:…Tamaki-kun…

Sogo Osaka: Ah, you are…

Sogo Osaka: Wha..!? Where are
you taking me!?

Sogo Osaka: I’m not a wolf..!

[Door slams]

Tamaki Yotsuba: Aaaaaaah…!!!
So-chan, I’m so sorry..!

Tenn Kujo: Nicely done, Yotsuba-san.

Iori Izumi: Nicely done indeed.

Tamaki Yotsuba: No! I didn’t mean to!

Iori Izumi: I wasn’t sure what to do
when you accidentally outed yourself
as a wolf, but then you whined your
way into being spared…

Iori Izumi: But what truly amazed
me was that you managed to sic the
executioners at Osaka-san instead.

Tenn Kujo: It really was something.

Tamaki Yotsuba: It wasn’t on purpose..!!!
I only said I was sorry to him because
I didn’t read up on the rules like
I promised to!!!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Aw, man…
He’s probably really bothered by that…
Or really mad…

Iori Izumi: Have fun trying to
resurrect MEZZO"’s working relationship
in the graveyard. Maybe if you start
crying again, he’ll forgive you.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Okay…

Tenn Kujo: So, who will we kill?

Iori Izumi: I believe Rokuya-san to
be our only option. What about you,
Kujo-san?

Tenn Kujo: Rokuya-san. He’s so
good at this, it’s scary.

Iori Izumi: Agreed. If we don’t
force him off his throne, we wolves
won’t have a fighting chance.

Tenn Kujo: We should also be worried
about the hunter. Do you think they’ll
protect him?

Iori Izumi: Thanks to Nikaido-san,
the hunter will most likely protect
one of the fortune-tellers.

Tenn Kujo: Did anyone give you
hunter vibes?

Iori Izumi: Mido-san. He was acting
a bit too assertive.

Tenn Kujo: Mido-san, huh.
Your thoughts, Yotsuba-san?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I dunno. But
Rikkun’s acting kinda sus.

Iori Izumi: I agree.

Tenn Kujo: I thought so, too.
But since he hasn’t been acting very
nervous…

Iori Izumi: Right. He seems to have
something he wants to say, but he’s
content to bide his time for now…

Iori, Tamaki, & Tenn: ……….

Iori Izumi: He might be the medium…

Tenn Kujo: Yeah, I could see that…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Should we kill him off first?

Iori Izumi: Hmm…
……………………
…No, we’ll kill Rokuya-san.

Tenn Kujo: Why? If we let him and
Nikaido-san feud for a while, they
might finish each other off for us.

Iori Izumi: That’s only assuming things
will go our way. If they start co-operating,
they’ll both become more difficult to
deal with.

Iori Izumi: If we let Rokuya-san
take command even more than he already
has, the villagers will transform from a
peaceful flock of sheep into a powerful
anti-wolf taskforce.

Tenn Kujo: Good point…
They’ll learn how to find wolves much
better.

Tamaki Yotsuba: So we’re killing Nagicchi.

Tenn Kujo: I’ll pretend to do a reading
on Gaku, and announce that he’s human
tomorrow.

Tenn Kujo: It’ll help to have the
trust of someone as confident as him.

Tenn Kujo: If I confirm his innocence
to others, he’ll have a better impression
of me, and I’ll become the fortune-
teller he roots for.

Iori Izumi:Understood.

Iori Izumi: Yotsuba-san, if the
hunter manages to protect our prey
tonight, you should announce that
you’re the hunter tomorrow.

Tamaki Yotsuba: What for? It’s
not like anyone’s gonna believe me.

Iori Izumi: It’s a gamble. If you
claim their role, the real hunter might
panic and confess their identity.

Tenn Kujo: Also, you should continue
begging for the others to spare you.
Good luck trying to survive.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Okay. I’ll try…

Iori Izumi: Even if you fail and get
executed, do NOT apologize to us.

Tamaki Yotsuba:‘Kay…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ugh… So-chan…
I wanna go to where he is soon so
I can apologize…

Tenn Kujo: Don’t worry. You’re bound
to be executed soon enough, and I’m
sure you can talk things over with
him in the graveyeard.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Now that he’s over
there and I’m over here… My chest
kinda hurts…

Iori Izumi: That’s rich, coming from
the one who made sure he’s no longer
among the living.

Tenn Kujo: If I was Osaka-san,
I’d definitely come back to haunt you.

Sogo Osaka: It’s so dark…
Where am I..?

Sogo Osaka: Ah… A  door opened…

- - - -

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka:Ah…

Sogo Osaka: This place isn’t scary at all!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: I didn’t know we had
an audience here, too.

Audience:So-chan!

Audience:Sogo-san, you did great..!

Sogo Osaka: Thank you. I’m sorry I got
executed so soon…

Audience:It’s okay!

Audience:Don’t worry about it!

Sogo Osaka: Haha… You’re all so nice.
Ah, and they even have a New Year’s
feast here!

Sogo Osaka: I’m almost glad I got executed
now… Tamaki-kun will love all this food.

Sogo Osaka: Speaking of Tamaki-kun…
I can’t believe he chose that timing
to apologize…

Sogo Osaka: It… It kind of feels
like my execution was his fault…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: Wait… You’re happy
about that? I see… I guess it’s
fine, then…

Sogo Osaka: Happy New Year.

Audience: Happy New Year!

Audience:Happy New Year to you, too!

Sogo Osaka: Ah, they even have miki
sake… And amazake… Am I allowed
to drink this?

Sogo Osaka: Maybe just a bit of
amazake. I can’t just leave all these
drinks untouched. Geez… Why did he
have to go and apologize…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: Ah… I’m glad you’re
all having fun.

Sogo Osaka: Then again, maybe I’m
blaming Tamaki-kun too much. I was
probably acting too suspicious in the
first place… I didn’t speak up
much, either.

Sogo Osaka: I should stop scolding
him so much. This year, I’ll be
nicer to him…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Audience:He feels bad!

Audience:That’s great!

Sogo Osaka: Heh… Thank you.

Sogo Osaka: Ah… This is delicious…

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: Ah, I’m sorry. I should
be focusing on entertaining you all, and
here I am, just eating black beans…

Audience:Ahahaha!

Audience: It’s okay!

Audience:We’re having fun!

Sogo Osaka: What a nice way
to spend the New Year…

Sogo Osaka: Ah… There’s a remote
controller here. I wonder what it’s for.

Sogo Osaka: Let’s press this switch.

Sogo Osaka:There.

Sogo Osaka: Ah… I can see everyone’s
faces on the screen!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa..!

Sogo Osaka: It looks like we
can zoom in on whoever we want to
watch more closely. Let’s try that.

Sogo Osaka: Ah… We can even
hear them talking..?

Yamato Nikaido: Ugh…
This is rough…

Yamato Nikaido: Uuugh…
This is really rough…

Yamato Nikaido: Why’d I have to end
up as the fortune-teller..?

Yamato Nikaido: Especially with all
these imposters running around. There’s
no way people are gonna trust me over
Momo-san or Kujo…

Yamato Nikaido: At least I feel like
I can just barely beat Natsume on that
front. Then again, he’s a great actor,
like me…

Yamato Nikaido: I’m guessing
everyone watching already knows
who’s who?

Yamato Nikaido: I was thinking
I’d read Nagi’s fortune, what do
you say?

Yamato Nikaido: My reason for picking
him is that he’ll make a great ally, but
also a dangerous foe.

Yamato Nikaido: Plus since everyone
trusts him so much, I figure I should
at least be a bit more skeptical.

Yamato Nikaido: ………
If one of my teammates turns out to
be a wolf, I’ll be pretty shocked…

Yamato Nikaido: But I want to find
some kind of evidence, and help put an
end to all this violence…

Yamato Nikaido: …Or so I’d say,
if this were a TV drama.

Yamato Nikaido:Ugh…
Yeah, I’ll go with Nagi.

Yamato Nikaido: I could also pick one
of the fake fortune-tellers to look for
the fox, but do you honestly think
they’d believe me?

Yamato Nikaido: I mean, if I was
a fake, I’d totally accuse the other
fortune-tellers of being wolves.

Yamato Nikaido: Plus even if I
find a wolf, it’ll be hard to convince
everyone that I’m telling the truth…

Yamato Nikaido: Hmm… Yep.
I’m just gonna go with Nagi.

Yamato Nikaido: Ugh… I just hope
he doesn’t get attacked, or else this
reading will go to waste!

Momo: Hello, everybody! It’s
me, Momo the Madman!

Momo:My role is to looooooove the
werewolves, and sabotage the villagers!

Momo:I have no idea who’s a wolf,
but I’ll win as long as they win. Even
if I’m already dead.

Momo:Basically, I’m stanning the
wolves! I just don’t know exactly who
I’m rooting for!

Momo:Tamaki seems to be one, at least!
So I’m stanning him for now! Yaaay!

Momo: However, my fave is already
in big, big trouble!

Momo:He had to go and announce that he’s
a wolf in front of everyone. Classic Tamaki
move. He’s kicking the New Year off with
a bang.

Momo: In order to help him avoid execution
for another day, I should come up with some
way to protect him!

Momo: I’ve got just the right plan,
but in order to protect my little
wolfie, I’ll need a human sacrifice.

Momo: Decisions, decisions…

Momo:I wouldn’t wanna sacrifice
any of the wolfies that are still
in hiding, after all.

Momo:Besides Tamaki, I’ve got
two other werewolves to protect!

Momo:Which means my sacrifice has
to be someone who’s sure to be
just a villager…

Momo:Hmm… I really didn’t
wanna do this…

Momo:But my partner…
Is definitely not a wolf.

Momo:I’d know.
He wouldn’t be so relaxed if he was.

Momo:And as great as my darling is
at acting, I’m pretty sure he’s not
pretending this time.

Momo:It’s like he hasn’t got a
care in the world. Must be because
we’re playing with our favorite boys…

Momo:And because he’s neither
a wolf nor any of the other roles.
Just a regular villager.

Momo:Oh, my darling… Forgive me…

Momo: I love you more than anyone
else in the entire universe…

Momo:But right now… I only have
eyes for the wolfies…

Momo: So in the spirit of fair play,
I’ll do my darndest to make sure
you get executed..!

Momo: Sorry, Yuki! I love you,
I really do! And I’ll buy you dinner
later!

Momo:So let me side with
the wolves, just this once..!!!

Minami Natsume: Hello, Minami
Natsume here.

Minami Natsume: You may also
call me the fox spirit.

Minami Natsume:Yip.

Minami Natsume: The fox… Hmm.
It seems I will die if a fortune-teller
tries to read my fortune.

Minami Natsume: I decided to pose as
a fortune-teller in order to make myself
a less appealing target for the real one.
It made sense, what with fortune-telling
also being a hobby of mine.

Minami Natsume: And now, there are
four of us.

Minami Natsume: Hmm… I wonder
if they’ll start executing us one
by one tomorrow.

Minami Natsume: I do hope I’ll live.

Minami Natsume: I won’t win
unless I’m still standing when the
wolves triumph.

Minami Natsume: So for the time
being, I should play into the wolves’
hands.

Minami Natsume: I wonder who the
wolves are… There must be one of
them among the fortune-tellers.

Minami Natsume: Perhaps Nikaido-san…
He did seem to want to hang Rokuya-san.

Minami Natsume: Or maybe Kujo-san…
He didn’t speak up very much. Then
again, neither did Momo-san…

Minami Natsume: And I wonder who
the real fortune-teller is. Whoever
they are, they’ll kill me if they try
to read me.

Minami Natsume: Ah… How very difficult.

Minami Natsume: I just hope no
fortunes come my way tonight.

Minami Natsume: Yip yip.

Minami Natsume: Oh, right.
I need results for my own fake
fortune reading.

Minami Natsume: Let’s see…
I think I will choose Isumi-san
as my target.

Minami Natsume: When he hears my
results, he’ll come to trust me.

Minami Natsume: He’s very pure-hearted,
after all. It’s almost cute how completely
he’ll fall for my tricks sometimes.

Minami Natsume: Well then, I’m all set.

Gaku Yaotome:……..

Gaku Yaotome: I’m the hunter.

Gaku Yaotome: I need to pick one
villager to protect from the wolves
each night.

Gaku Yaotome: If I pick whoever
the wolves are after, there’ll be no
casualties for that night.

Gaku Yaotome: Who should I protect..?
Should I shield Rokuya, like he said?

Gaku Yaotome: But if he’s a wolf,
I’ll just be protecting a monster from
one of its own.

Gaku Yaotome: A useless hunter,
in other words. I’d much rather get
something done.

Gaku Yaotome: Hmm…

Gaku Yaotome: We’ll need a fortune-
teller to deal with the fox… And the
wolves might already know who the real
one is.

Gaku Yaotome: That means they’ll
attack one of the fortune-tellers.

Gaku Yaotome: And if they do, I’ll
know the one I protected to be the
real deal.

Gaku Yaotome: Or not… I’m guessing
the wolves have no idea who the fox and
the madman are, yet.

Gaku Yaotome: Then again…
Rokuya’s just a regular villager.
Fortune-tellers are special.

Gaku Yaotome: I should find out
which one of them is real, and protect
that person.

Gaku Yaotome: The real one…

Gaku Yaotome:……..

Gaku Yaotome: Maybe Tenn…

Gaku Yaotome: He’s my teammate,
so I should be able to tell when
he’s lying.

Gaku Yaotome: I didn’t get that
vibe from him tonight.

Gaku Yaotome: ……..

Gaku Yaotome: …I dunno…

Gaku Yaotome: …No! I should go
with Tenn. If I protect him successfully,
it’ll at least confirm that he’s not a wolf.

Gaku Yaotome: Rokuya, if you’re a
villager and I’m sending you to your
death, then I’m sorry!

Gaku Yaotome: I’m counting on you,
Tenn…!

- - - -

Yuki:Haha… I get it.

Yuki:……..

Yuki:No I don’t.

Yuki:I still have no idea how
Sogo-kun got executed.

Yuki:Maybe he really was a wolf.

Yuki:What roles did the villagers
have, again? Fortune-teller, medium…
And what was the third one, woodsman..?

Yuki:Ah… I’m just a villager,
of course. I’d like to think my character
has his own chicken coop right here, and
that he comes here to pick eggs every day.

Yuki: I’m sure I’d have more to do right
now, if I wasn’t just an average Joe.

Yuki:I’m falling asleep over here…

Yuki:……..

Yuki:Yawn…

Yuki:Ah… One of my eyelashes
came loose…

Yuki: It sure would be nice if
everyone else could solve this case
while I laze around.

Yuki: This is a pretty nice job,
all in all… I wonder if we could
do this on the regular…

Yuki: Oh no, I stepped on one
of the eggs.

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 4: Who Are the Wolves? ~Day 1~

Chapter Index

Tamaki Yotsuba: The game’s begun…

Toma Inumaru: I’m so nervous…

Nagi Rokuya: Fifteen minutes is
very short indeed. I shall lead the
conversation, so that we may make the
most use of our time.

Nagi Rokuya: First, we must decide
whether the fortune-teller should announce
themselves or not.

Nagi Rokuya: One advantage to coming
forward is that you will avoid
execution.

Nagi Rokuya: As for any disadvantages,
you will also make yourself an easy
target.

Riku Nanase: W-what do you mean?

Nagi Rokuya: Let us say that I am
the fortune-teller, and decide to
announce myself. The villagers will
not want to execute the only person
who can tell who is a wolf and
who is not.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Good point.

Nagi Rokuya: However, to the wolves,
I am a hindrance. They will obviously
try to attack me.

Nagi Rokuya: Unless the hunter
protects me, I will die very quickly.

Toma Inumaru: Oh, right…
I’m starting to understand how this
works now.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What are the
advantages of not coming forward?

Nagi Rokuya: Keeping your role a
secret is going to reduce your
chances of being attacked.

Nagi Rokuya: But if you do not
win the trust of your fellow villagers,
you may get executed.

Nagi Rokuya: In that case, announcing
your role will be safer in terms of
staying alive.

Nagi Rokuya: Killing their own
puts villagers at a disadvantage.

Riku Nanase: If there aren’t enough
villagers, the wolves will win, right?

Nagi Rokuya: Precisely. If the
number of monsters equals the number
of humans, the monsters win.

Mitsuki Izumi: Which means we should
avoid meaningless casualties the
best we can.

Gaku Yaotome: …So, the fortune-teller
should announce themselves?

Nagi Rokuya: Not always, but with
this number of players, it helps to
have something to work with.

Mitsuki Izumi: So, the fortune-teller
should still…

Torao Mido:Wait.

Torao Mido: Something about what
Nagi Rokuya’s saying is bugging me.

Torao Mido: You said the fortune-teller
could announce themselves to avoid
execution, right?

Nagi Rokuya:Yes.

Torao Mido: Couldn’t the wolves
use that to their advantage, too?

Toma Inumaru: Use what?

Torao Mido: If a wolf is in danger
of being executed, they could always
lie and say that they’re the fortune-teller.

Haruka Isumi: So there can be
fakes, too!?

Nagi Rokuya: That is correct, Mido-shi.
Monsters who do not want to die could
claim roles the humans need…

Nagi Rokuya: They might pose as
fortune-tellers, mediums, or hunters
in order to survive.

Tenn Kujo: So we might have
both real and fake people claiming
any given role.

Nagi Rokuya: Exactly. Though that is
only one of many possibilities.

Riku Nanase: Nagi, you seem like a
villager, but how do we know if
we can trust you?

Nagi Rokuya: I am indeed a villager,
but as much as I want us to win,
I cannot prove my identity.

Nagi Rokuya: As long as I cannot
verify my status, you should watch
yourselves around me.

Nagi Rokuya: If you put too much faith
into someone who acts very trustworthy,
and that person turns out to be a monster,
the village is doomed.

Haruka Isumi: Oh… Okay.
So we have to judge for ourselves.

Nagi Rokuya: Yes. Rely on your
intuition, and reading the faces
of your friends.

Nagi Rokuya: I know it sounds tough,
but this is a game to be enjoyed.
Just relax and have fun.

Haruka Isumi: Okay. I’ll try.

Nagi Rokuya: We are running low on
time. Shall we hold a vote to decide
whether the fortune-teller announces
themselves or not?

Gaku Yaotome:Yeah.

Toma Inumaru: I think we should.

Mitsuki Izumi: Let’s do this!

Nagi Rokuya: All those who think the
fortune-teller should come forward,
raise your hand and say aye.

Tenn Kujo: Aye.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Aye.

Riku Nanase:Aye!

Yamato Nikaido: Hmm… Aye.

Momo:Aye!

Yuki:Aye too then, I guess.

Nagi Rokuya: It appears more people
want the fortune-teller to announce
themselves. That is what we will do,
then.

Tamaki Yotsuba: What about the rest?

Nagi Rokuya: I believe the other
roles should judge for themselves
whether to come out.

Nagi Rokuya: The hunter in particular
should stay hidden, unless they have a
very good reason to tell everyone who they
are. And to try not to be eaten by wolves.

Torao Mido: We should have a specific
timing for when the fortune-teller
announces themselves, so wolves can’t
get a headstart on faking the role.

Nagi Rokuya: Indeed. Let us
count down, then. The fortune-teller
must come forward in three seconds.

Nagi Rokuya: Three, two, one…

Nagi Rokuya:Zero.

Momo: Me! I’m the fortune-teller!

Tenn Kujo: I’m the fortune-teller.

Minami Natsume: I’m the fortune-teller.

Yamato Nikaido: I’m the fortune-teller.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m a wolf!

Iori Izumi: There are four fortune-tellers!?
And…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: A wolf!?

Sogo Osaka:Tamaki-kun..!

Riku Nanase: Are you really a
wolf, Tamaki!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Tsk…

Tamaki Yotsuba:No…

Yamato Nikaido: Nice try, wolf boy!

Mitsuki Izumi: Why would you tell
everybody that you’re a wolf!? You
didn’t memorize the rules, did you?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Nagicchi said
we should judge for ourselves if we
wanna tell people..!

Iori Izumi: Alright, then.
I suppose Yotsuba-san is the one
getting hanged tonight.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Nooooo!!! We just
started, I wanna play more!!!

Iori Izumi: Be quiet. We have enough
on our plates without you screaming.
The four fortune-tellers, for instance…

Gaku Yaotome: Wait, let’s get
this straight. Who said they were
a fortune-teller, again?

Momo:Me.

Tenn Kujo:Me.

Minami Natsume: Me.

Yamato Nikaido: Me.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Me! Definitely me!

Gaku Yaotome: Sorry, Yotsuba.
You’re gonna have a hard time getting
us to buy that at this point.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Aaaaaaahhh!!!
Now everybody thinks I’m a wolf!!!
They wanna kill me!!!

Iori Izumi: Only one of these
fortune-tellers is the real one.

Nagi Rokuya: Yes… I did not expect
so many of them to come forward.

Nagi Rokuya: Still, it makes sense.
We are idols, after all…

Nagi Rokuya: Performers by nature,
who do not like to hide.

Mitsuki Izumi: In a way, it’s
almost like they’re all fighting
over the center role.

Momo:Me! I’m the real deal!

Tenn Kujo: I’m sorry, Momo-san,
but I can’t let you have my role.
I’m the real fortune-teller.

Minami Natsume: Ah, how frightening…
You’re both very good liars, considering
I’m the real fortune-teller.

Yamato Nikaido: More like all three
of you are. Sorry, but the only real
fortune-teller here is me.

Riku Nanase: …I have no idea…

Haruka Isumi: They all seem like
they’re telling the truth…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Hmm, this is
a tough one… But for the time being,
we shouldn’t kill any of the fortune-
tellers, right?

Nagi Rokuya: Since there are so
many of them, we could also take
turns executing all of them.

Gaku Yaotome: Why? Doesn’t that
go against what you said earlier?

Nagi Rokuya: I did not expect there
to be so many of them.

Nagi Rokuya: They are going to do
readings in order to find wolves.
However, three out of four are
going to be giving us false
information.

Nagi Rokuya: Because the chances
of all three of the fakes being
monsters is high, we should focus
on getting them out of the game.

Torao Mido: But it’s going to take
us four whole days to kill all of
them.

Torao Mido: Unless the hunter knows
what they’re doing, four villagers
are gonna die in that time.

Nagi Rokuya: Precisely.

Nagi Rokuya: I suspect the four
of them to be a real fortune-teller,
a wolf, a fox spirit, and a madman
who is allied with the wolves.

Nagi Rokuya: If we trust their
information too much, this will
end horribly.

Yamato Nikaido: You might be a
wolf in hiding yourself, y'know.

Nagi Rokuya:Hmm…

Yamato Nikaido: You’re looking
pretty nervous.

Nagi Rokuya: Because we are running
out of time, I will give you all a warning.
I will most likely die tonight.

Riku Nanase: Huh!? But why!?

Nagi Rokuya: I have done too much
in the villagers’ favor. My leadership
and communication skills must be a
great hindrance to the wolves.

Nagi Rokuya: If I were a wolf,
I would choose myself as the first
victim. Though perhaps if the hunter
will protect me, I will live to see
another day.

Yamato Nikaido: That sounds like
something a wolf who wants to distract
the hunter might say.

Yamato Nikaido: If the hunter protects
you, that leaves the fortune-teller
vulnerable.

Nagi Rokuya: There is no point
in protecting this village’s fortune-
teller in the first place.

Haruka Isumi: Uh… What are
they talking about?

Riku Nanase: I’m completely out of
the loop… Mitsuki, do you understand
them?

Mitsuki Izumi: Kinda, but not really.
This is how those two always talk when
they suspect each other of something.

Riku Nanase: Ah, so they’re trying
to figure out if the other is an
enemy.

Riku Nanase: Does that mean either
Nagi or Yamato-san is a wolf..!?

Sogo Osaka: They could still be on the
same side. This is a game where we’re
meant to suspect even our allies.

Nagi Rokuya: I am a villager, Yamato.

Yamato Nikaido: Well so am I, Nagi.

Toma Inumaru: I dunno…
I was so sure we could trust
Rokuya, but now…

Iori Izumi: For tonight, shouldn’t
we just execute Yotsuba-san, who outed
himself as a wolf by accident?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Wait, Iorin!!!
I wanna play with everybody!!!

Iori Izumi: We’re playing, yes.
A game where you’re a wolf, and
you tell everyone that, and then
you get hanged.

Tamaki Yotsuba: This isn’t fair
at all! We were supposed to have
a fun New Year! Waaaah!

Momo:Uh… Maybe we should let
Tamaki go, just for this one night?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Momorin!!!

Iori Izumi: You’re too kind,
Momo-san. Really.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I’d feel bad
kicking him out of the game on our
first day, too. Even if he is a wolf,
we can always hang him tomorrow…

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: What do you
think, Nagi-kun?

Nagi Rokuya: You may let him live, but
it would be better to kill the one
confirmed wolf among us, for the
village’s sake.

Yuki:So, should we still execute him?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Huh..? Are you
really gonna do it..?

Toma Inumaru: …Hmm. It’s only the first
day, so maybe we could pick anyone other
than the fortune-tellers or Yotsuba for now?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Marucchi, you rule..!!!

Toma Inumaru: It’s just a game, anyway.
We should let the kids enjoy it.

Torao Mido: I suppose…

Momo: Okay, so he’s NOT getting
hanged tonight, but tomorrow, he’ll
have to go! Is that okay with
you, Tamaki?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah! Thanks, guys!!!

Sogo Osaka: Good for you, Tamaki-kun.

Iori Izumi: I can’t believe you
managed to escape execution, despite
telling everyone you’re a wolf…
That was some trick you pulled,
Yotsuba-san…

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m so glad to be
a kid right now!!!

Sogo Osaka: Still, you need
to think about what you’ve done.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah…
My bad, So-chan.

Gaku Yaotome: Okay, so all we
gotta do is find someone who seems
like a wolf, and isn’t either Yotsuba
or one of the fortune-tellers.

Iori Izumi: “My bad, So-chan”?
What exactly are you apologizing
for, Yotsuba-san?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Whuh?

Iori Izumi: Could it be that you’re
on the same side as Osaka-san?

Mitsuki Izumi: Huh!?

Haruka Isumi: Oh, yeah!

Tamaki Yotsuba: What!? Uh, no!

Gaku Yaotome: Osaka’s a wolf, too!?

Sogo Osaka:Um…

Sogo Osaka: Ah, no… I’m not.
I’m just a villager, not–

Tamaki Yotsuba: That’s right!
So-chan’s not a wolf! He’s totally
super duper not a wolf!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Not even a
little bit..!

[Whistle]

Game Master: And the result of the
vote is…

Game Master: Sogo Osaka will be executed.

To be continued…

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 3: Let the Game Begin

Chapter Index

Momo:Alright, everyone! Open your
role cards, and make sure nobody
else sees them!

Nagi Rokuya: OH…

Tamaki Yotsuba:Huh?

Riku Nanase: Ah…

Yamato Nikaido: What?

Yuki:…Ah…

Momo:Hey! Watch your reactions,
those can still give people a hint
on what you got!

Momo: Does everybody know their
role?

Haruka Isumi: Yeah.

Tenn Kujo: I do.

Momo:Great, let’s get started!

Momo: There are three werewolves
among us! One of us is the madman, a
villager who is allied to the wolves!

Momo:We have one fox spirit, who
won’t die when attacked by a wolf,
and will die of a deadly curse if a
fortune-teller tries to read them!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Are you a player
too, Momorin? Or a game master?

Momo:A player! I’ll join you as
soon as I’m done explaining the game!

Momo:Moving on! The objective of
the villagers is to find and execute
all wolves, so they don’t get eaten!

Momo:It’s their only way to
defeat the monsters!

Momo:At noon each day, a vote
is held, and whoever gets the most
votes is executed!

Torao Mido: Whoever everyone suspects
the most gets lynched, basically.

Haruka Isumi: That’s scary…

Minami Natsume: We may fall prey
to mass paranoia, and slowly kill off
our allies one by one. It’s a common
horror movie scenario.

Nagi Rokuya: Yes. The wolves must
intend to cast suspicion on innocent
villagers, as well.

Nagi Rokuya: If the villagers’
suspicions ring true, then only wolves
will be executed, and nobody will die
at their claws.

Nagi Rokuya: But when the night falls,
we may still hear their howls, and
another victim’s body will be found
the next morning…

Nagi Rokuya: Letting us know that
wolves yet live in our midst.

Sogo Osaka: Three werewolves and a
fox spirit… Until we get rid of these
monsters, villagers will keep dying.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: It seems like
none of the dead players are allowed
to stay on set.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Look, there’s
a door with “execution” written on
it…

Yuki:Ah, that’s true.

Tenn Kujo: Where does it lead?

Momo:It’s a secret.

Yamato Nikaido:What!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Where are you
gonna take us!?

Momo:Heh. Not even I’m
allowed to know…

Riku Nanase: What, really!?
What about you, Mitsuki!?

Mitsuki Izumi: I have no idea,
either… They wouldn’t let me
take a peek…

Tamaki Yotsuba: Seriously!?

Mitsuki Izumi: Yeah, and I really
didn’t like the grim look on the crew’s
faces when I asked about it.

Sogo Osaka: Maybe it leads under
a waterfall or something…

Toma Inumaru: You really think
they’d go that far!?

Yuki:Waterfall or no, I wouldn’t
want to get thrown outside either way.
It’s going to snow tonight…

Gaku Yaotome: Or maybe we’ll be
walking into a boiling hot bath?

Momo:Would you get in one of
those, Gaku!?

Gaku Yaotome: Sure, I like my
baths pretty hot.

Mitsuki Izumi: Ahaha! It’s meant
to be a punishment, you’re not
supposed to like it!

Gaku Yaotome: Oh, right.

Momo:Let’s get back on track! The
villagers must get rid of the monsters,
and the monsters have to try and survive
until they win.

Momo: I’m assuming that much
is clear to all of you?

Riku Nanase: I understand!

Iori Izumi: Do you?

Riku Nanase: Yeah, I think!
I even crammed for it last night.

Sogo Osaka: Tamaki-kun, you crammed
too, right?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Not really…

Sogo Osaka: After I told you to
memorize the rules so many times..!

Tamaki Yotsuba: I-I’m just kidding!
I did memorize them! I did!

Riku Nanase: Aren’t there some kind
of special villagers who can help
catch the wolves?

Momo: Yep! I was just about to get
to that!

Momo:There’s the fortune-teller! They can
tell who’s a werewolf by doing a reading
on them!

Momo: There’s also the hunter!
They can repel a werewolf away from
a potential victim with an ambush!

Momo:Then there’s the medium!
They’ll know if someone who got
executed was a wolf or villager!

Gaku Yaotome: Shouldn’t those people
announce their roles to the others?

Iori Izumi: Some roles are better
to announce, while others are better
to keep a secret.

Yuki:This is pretty complicated…
So which roless are which?

Iori Izumi: The hunter is likely to
get killed off first if they reveal
their role, so they should probably
keep it a secret.

Toma Inumaru: Right, since they
get in the wolves’ way, it’s a good
idea to get rid of them first.

Nagi Rokuya: The medium should keep
their role a secret as well, at least
until they can determine if one of the
executed was a wolf or a villager.

Momo:There’s all sorts of tactics
you can try!

Momo: Next up, here are the
win conditions for the monsters!

Momo: The wolves win if their number
equals the number of villagers left!
The fox wins if they’re still alive
when the wolves have triumphed!

Minami Natsume: In other words, since
there are three wolves, the villagers
will lose as soon as only three of them
remain alive.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: That means the
villagers must be careful who to execute,
or else they’ll practically hand victory
over to the wolves.

Torao Mido: And so long as there’s
three wolves, three villagers, and one
fox, the fox wins, right?

Riku Nanase: This sounds really
hard… How will we know how many
wolves are left?

Tenn Kujo: As long as there’s a
medium left to tell which one of
the executed was a villager or wolf,
it shouldn’t be too hard.

Riku Nanase: Oh, right. Wolves can
only die by execution, so if we check
the dead for any wolves, we’ll know
how many of them remain.

Gaku Yaotome: Though obviously, the
wolves are gonna target anyone with
abilities like that first.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I guess you really
have to use your brain in this game.

Iori Izumi: Did you really not
realize that sooner?

Haruka Isumi: I’m not sure I’m
gonna be able to keep up…

Yuki: Neither am I.

Minami Natsume: Staying alive is
a contribution in its own right. All you
must do is avoid undue suspicion.

Haruka Isumi: I guess. I’ll try to
be careful…

Yamato Nikaido: I just hope nobody
will suspect ME!

Mitsuki Izumi: Or me!

Torao Mido: Figuring out how to
win other people’s trust can be
difficult.

Torao Mido: Talking too much and
not talking enough will both come
across as supicious.

Sogo Osaka: And not everyone has
the same standards for what can be
trusted. It really is difficult…

Momo:Let’s not think too hard
about this, guys! Anyway, that’s
enough exposition from me!

Momo: Let’s get negotiating!

Riku Nanase: Are we going to decide
who gets executed now?

Momo: Yep! We have 15 minutes,
starting now!

Momo:And by the way, all wolves
know who the other wolves are!

Momo: While the villagers have to
self isolate for the night, wolves can
talk to each other. Be careful not to
fall prey to their schemes!

Momo:The GM will take over for
me and narrate everything from here,
so I can join the game too!

Game Master: Well then, let the
game begin.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Oh, so that’s the GM.

Riku Nanase: Hello!

Game Master: Decide who gets executed
first. You have 15 minutes.

Game Master: You may begin.

[Whistle]

To be continued…

~LIVE or HEAVEN~ Part 2: What’s Werewolf, Anyway?

Chapter Index

Momo: Werewolf is a game where
we have to sus each other out!

Momo:That being said, the people
we have to watch out for are our own
teammates. Tamaki, do you think you
can suspect your own friends?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Huh!? Uh, sure!

Momo:Really?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I’m always on the
lookout for whoever ate my pudding,
anyway.

Momo:That sounds really rough!
Hey Mitsuki, you guys should really

Mitsuki Izumi: Oh please, we don’t
eat his pudding THAT often! Most of
the time, he eats it himself and
then forgets about it.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Okay fine, sometimes
it’s me who ate it!

Mitsuki Izumi: Ahaha! And there you
have it!

Momo:Still, even if Tamaki’s
cool with it, having to suspect your
teammates can be a lot ot take in.

Mitsuki Izumi: True. I can definitely
see it leading to some awkward situations.

Momo:So! Just to get everyone on
the same page, we conducted a nationwive
survey!

Momo:We asked 100 people:
“Which one of these idols is the
most wolf-like!?”

Haruka Isumi:“Wolf-like!?”

Yamato Nikaido: As in, when it comes
to our looks? Will this data be used in the
game?

Mitsuki Izumi: Yep! By the way,
Kujo-san! Who do you think is the
most wolf-like?

Tenn Kujo: Well… Out of all of
us, I’d say Ryu’s the biggest wolf.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: Oh, me?
Is it because people call me a
“beast” and stuff?

Tenn Kujo: That’s part of it, but
there’s also the fact that you’re a
lot friendlier than your wild and
dignified looks let on.

Momo: I see! So, you think Ryu-chan
placed high on the rankings?

Tenn Kujo: I do.

Gaku Yaotome: Nah…

Tenn Kujo: What?

Gaku Yaotome: I disagree.

Tenn Kujo: With what?

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: You don’t
think I’m like a wolf?

Gaku Yaotome: Ah… I’ll let you
know when they announce the results.

Tenn Kujo: Why are you being so
vague? Has your brain gone on a New
Year’s holiday or something?

Momo:Looks like everyone’s favorite
angel, Tenn, is already in a feisty mood!
Did you spend all of New Year’s Eve
sharpening your claws?

Tenn Kujo: Geez, Gaku…

Tenn Kujo: Get a grip, or we’ll just
have to punish you later.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa…!

Mitsuki Izumi: Aaand there’s his
first devilish wink so far!

Momo: What a way to start the year..!
Thanks a lot!

Audience:Kyaaaaaa…!

Momo:Well then, here are the
survey’s results! Mitsuki, if
you’ll please!

Mitsuki Izumi: Okay!

Mitsuki Izumi: Which one of these
idols is the most wolf-like!? Here’s
what our 100 survey takers had to say!

Mitsuki Izumi: In third place, we
have Gaku Yaotome!

Tenn Kujo: Oh, it’s Gaku.

Gaku Yaotome: See? I told you.

Mitsuki Izumi: “He reminds me of Crescent
Wolf.” “His costume for Crescent Wolf was
cool.” “He seems like he’d make a pass
at me when nobody else’s around.”

Tenn Kujo: Oh right, because of
Crescent Wolf..!

Ryunosuke Tsunashi: I can see where
these people are coming from! Well,
except for the “he’d make a pass at
me” person.

Gaku Yaotome: That’s not the sort
of thing I’d do, but go ahead and
think of me as a wolf anyway.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa…!

Mitsuki Izumi: Yaotome’s so cool..!

Momo:What’s this!? TRIGGER’s acting
really bouncy today!

Mitsuki Izumi: Now that we’ve got
everyone hyped up, let’s continue the
ranking announcement!

Mitsuki Izumi: Which one of these
idols is the most wolf-like!? Here’s
what our 100 survey takers had to say!

Mitsuki Izumi: In second place, we
have Toma Inumaru!

Toma Inumaru: ME!?

Mitsuki Izumi: “His rough attitude
reminds me of a wolf.” “His eyes and
name bring to mind wolves.” “He seems
nice, despite how scary he looks.”

Toma Inumaru: Oh, right, my name…
Wait, but my name means  "dog"!

Torao Mido: I can see it. Your mouth,
especially your teeth, totally give
me that vibe.

Haruka Isumi: It’s like as soon as
we turn our backs, you’ll attack
and kill a bird.

Toma Inumaru: As if!

Mitsuki Izumi: Which one of these
idols is the most wolf-like!? Here’s
what our 100 survey takers had to say!

Mitsuki Izumi: In first place,
we have Iori Izumi!

Yamato Nikaido: Ichi got first place!?
Ah..! It’s gotta be because of that
drama role!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah! Iorin turned
into a wolf boy for that one!

Riku Nanase: Wow! It makes sense,
considering how cool he was!

Mitsuki Izumi: “He was so cool in Wolf Boy
and Boy Detective!” “I feel like he’d be
a wild but intelligent wolf!” “Iori-kun
made me love wolves!”

Iori Izumi: Thank you very much.

Momo:Well? How do you feel,
being number 1?

Iori Izumi: I’m very happy, of course…
But I’m not sure if I want to me dubbed
the most wolf-like right before we’re
about to play Werewolf…

Momo: Good point! You might get
lobbed with accusations right
off the bat!

Iori Izumi: As you can see, I have
neither a tail nor ears today. Please
keep in mind that I’m only a human,
everyone.

Audience:Kyaaaaaa…!

Riku Nanase: Well I for one hope
that you’ll be a wolf, just like your
character! That’ll mean that I can be
a great detective, like my character.

Iori Izumi: Don’t be ridiculous.

Momo:We’ll just have to wait
and see which role Iori gets!

To be continued…
