Continuing to continue on… building upon the 365 collages that spanned from November 2014 - November 2015.
They say a habit is formed after a month of repeating the same action - and to think that I did one collage per day for twelve months. It’s no wonder then, when I finished the year, that it was difficult to stop. I felt lost. I could have continued, yet, I felt they had run their course. I wanted to build upon them after the year was done, using them as an image bank for more complex pieces, but there was inertia. Maybe I needed some distance before I started this next phase.
I wonder how long I will want, or need to continue this next phase. However it turns out, I hope this patch of difficulty is in fact a period of growth. Half glass full, and all that.
Shelter is larger, as are the previous 3. They are roughly 8 x 7 inch images on Canson Mi Teintes paper. They take longer to complete.
