A Warehouse 13 AU for Overwatch
In this dream, either Tracer or D.Va was the “viewpoint agent” whose journey the story followed (though I don’t remember who her partner was), Ana was either the Caretaker or “the Artie” (I don’t remember which) but either way that meant Pharah ended up essentially growing up in the Warehouse and becoming the best Agent it had seen in a while, Mercy was both the Warehouse medic and essentially whatever Leena was (and she was also semi-immortal in a way sorta like Jenkins) and rather than being named after her, the B&B was called The Guardian Angel. Also, how Talon fit into this was that (though I don’t remember what her motives/plan were) Moira was the Big Bad of this incarnation and (though I don’t recall how Doomfist fit into this) Widowmaker and Reaper got (at least close to) the way they are in canon directly due to Moira’s unethical use of stolen Artifacts on them (Sombra didn’t need any “enhancement” to join her or whatever because of her hacking skill being just that awesome)
I would love it if someone wrote a W13 AU for Overwatch because even if it doesn’t match what I remember of my dream, that’d still be a good jumping off point/inspiration
I know it might be hard to do because A. there isn’t the “generational Xerox” there is in comic/show canon, B. the heroes whose gadgets are more “power-y” (like Mei, Lucio etc.) would have to have those as their actual powers to provide diversity and maybe some of their origins might have to be tinkered with in more ways than just what’d need to be done to make them reasonably teenagers (like Lucio being in the very earliest stages of a music career rather than the Beyonce-tier stardom he apparently has in canon) but I kinda really want to make a Runaways AU for Overwatch obviously focusing on the younger heroes (though they’d all be made teenagers and very few if any have their actual parents as characters)
