Commission work for @charmemes! I’m not saying you should be expecting a fanmix coming out of them soon, but you should be expecting a fanmix.

I thought I’d have my own go at a fan rework; no gun depicted here, because I wanted to mainly focus on Vik himself. I decided to take inspiration after how the Barik rework was handled; enough tweaks to change the sci-fi elements to  fit more into the new aesthetic, without changing his overall “look” enough that he ends up a completely different person. EDIT: oh, forgot to mention! Poses here were referenced from his original model sheets uploaded to art station.

What this ended up meaning is:

• Removing the ammo belt over his chest. His gun is powered by crystals anyway. The pouches at his belt are kept though, as is the grenade.

• Tried to make his facial scarring more obviously visible.

• Tweaks to the front of his uniform to make it less modern but still military. This was mainly done through tweaking the jacket fastenings. I tried to give it a more “magistrate” look without going too posh, since this is supposed to evoke a more common soldier look. Viktor is supposed to be demoted, after all.

• Replaced the arm coverings and boot coverings to fit the fantasy aesthetic. The boots are inspired more off of Lex, whereas I took the gauntlets from the Hi Rez version of the Viktor rework and tried to make them less bulky and more fitting with this version.

• Added a shoulder guard. This is mainly due to when I was researching the card art for various newer champions with magistrate ties. Almost everyone shown in the card art who appears to have combat training but is not a knight has a shoulder armor pad on one side. In interesting cases like the Deepwerks members on the Vivian card art and Lex himself as well as the police force, the armor siding has specific designs that clearly show where in the magistrate their affiliation is; where they work in a sense. I think it would be neat if the more rank and file military Viktor is a part of also had a specific design for that armor piece as well. I just think that would be neat.

• I also did some portrait tests to see how he looks missing one eye, with an eye patch, and with a glowing eye. Those are under the cut.

I figured I’d have a go at a valentines bomb king skin, this one being more obviously based off of Skye’s ‘heartbreaker’ set. You can thank @khantaya for the choice of naming, haha

Goblins control our government at the highest levels

This was meant to be for day one of malfern week! I took ‘first meetings’ a bit more literally and redrew the first malfern comic I ever sketched. This was way back before we had any lore or anything; I mainly got the idea based on interactions I had duo queue’n with friends; most of them prefer mal as their support and fernando is my boy so it really just kind of started from there. I guess you could say its more in game than lore based, really. Anyway, the rest is under the cut due to length. Enjoy!

I posted an in progress yesterday; here’s the update! Got the base colors down on the body, still figuring out which colors to go for shield wise. Still a long way to go, but lookin’ forward to it tbh.
