Now that Part 6 is over, here’s my take on what I liked about it and what I didn’t. Under a read more because of spoilers and because it’s long.

Finally finished watching Lupin the Third Part 6.
TBH it really fell short of my expectations, but I think highly of the fact that Shigeru Murakoshi, the main writer in the second part, never forgot that the Lupin gang is the bread and butter of this TV series.

Well, I was satisfied with some episodes but really tired of looking forward to well-written episodes and then feeling betrayed… It’s all because I expected the episodes like Part 5 which I really liked. I shouldn’t have expected too much.

Scenes in Ep24 I liked:

Goemon thinks NOTHING when he’s playing poker at all? Cute.

Look at Jigen’s gentle eyes! Priceless!

…andTHIS.

BTW, I enjoyed Fujiko’s episodes so much, such as “The Jet-Black Diamond”, “Two Terrible Ladies” and “Welcome to the Island of Bubbles”. She is the best! On the other hand, I detest “Wedding Bells Ring with the Sound of Gunfire”. Never acceptable! (Of course, it’s not Jigen’s fault nor Akio-san’s.)

It was a shame that Ms Hazel who is one of my favourite female characters in the second part passed away but I want to see Mattea and Mercedes in TVSPs again if possible!

You know, I don’t hate Stone Ocean’s ending despite my mixed feelings, but I really feel like it would’ve been better if Jolyne were the one to get sent to the new universe to defeat Pucci instead and shewere the one to keep all of her memories. Choosing Emporio to fill that role was an odd choice to me- he was a pretty minor character for most of the part, and I think Jolyne just would’ve been the better character to go with. She is the main character, and the part’s Joestar- sheshould’ve been the one to deliver the final blow in the end and end her bloodline’s turmoil.

You would probably have to change some things around for it to make sense, but it would’ve been an improvement in my opinion.
