“I couldn’t stand the kind of woman who was featured in the magazine, supported by the rich husband,” he says, with a shudder, describing the pre-Wintour years. “I’ve never been impressed by somebody who came in with a crocodile bag, you know?”
This shoot was one of my most humbling with humility and reverence in my limited time. I have worked with many perceptions of beauty from those who imagined it was about their scars and their curves to those of which who could rise with no care about the glimmer and shine in their eyes. She rose from the past and proved above all. Your scars are your beauty, if this is your flaw you are misguided for which there is no light in your darkness.
