#penumbra party

LIVE

If you’re following me and you’ve participated in the Penumbra Party event, you are going to be blocked.

I’ve made no secret of my disapproval of and discomfort at the way the Penumbra Podcast dealt with the controversies of hiring Ellison Estephan, as well as some fans’ continued public support of the podcast. If you intend on lending your platform to this creative team (and the racist content creators who idolize their works and deny that they’ve harmed their fans), my blog is not for you.

This is not to invalidate the love many people still have for the podcast. There is no doubt that this podcast was created by people who wanted to uplift the voices of minorities. However, when those creators hired an illustrator with a history of offensive elements in their works, labeled their fans bullies, and ignored the very voices they sought to represent, the very least you can do to help the ones being hurt by TPP’s actions is to stop lending your platform and your voices to this podcast team.
