#permanent residency
Are you looking to make the move to Australia? Maybe you’re already here on a student visa and are wanting to learn more about becoming a permanent resident. Australia is a wonderful place to live (I’m not biased at all LOL), but the process can be a little daunting and confusing. I’ve put together a list of some of the more common visas that we have considered. I haven’t included the Working Holiday visa, as we didn’t do much research on this one. This list isn’t extensive, however I will update it as often as I come across important and beneficial information.
Student Visa - Stay in Australia for up to 5 years whilst studying an approved course.
Temporary Graduate Visa - A temporary visa that allows international students to live, study and work after you have finished your studies.
Skilled Independent Visa - This visa allows invited workers with required skills to live and work in Australia permanently. You need to working in a field that is on the required skills list.
Skilled Nominated Visa - This visa allows nominated/sponsored skilled workers stay in Australia as permanent residents.
Partner Visa (Onshore) - Allows the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident to live in Australia. You apply for the temporary and the permanent partner visas together.
For those of you who follow us, you may have noticed that we have not been posting much as of late. We apologize but also would like to express our joy in explaining why.
For those who aren’t aware, our team is made up primarily of our editor, @eeveeintheroses, and lead artist, @thedarklordkeisha - who were married back in October of 2018.
We are pleased to announce that after three years of applying and jumping though hoops, @eeveeintheroses has finally been approved for her permanent citizenship in Canada and will be moving this November up to Manitoba! We are all so excited as this will make creating art and products for you much faster and easier than when they were living in different countries!
We thank you for your patience as they go about the move and get settled so to focus on bringing you even more amazing art, fun and geek girl magic!
