Pretty breakfast waffles! I got this idea to make pink waffles when I was thinking about making strawberry banana waffles the other day. I wondered if the strawberry purée would turn them pink. Turns out the batter is too light for that. But after googling I found you can tint your batter pink with beets! Unfortunately I couldn’t find any beets at Trader Joe’s yesterday but oddly enough Target had some freeze dried beets in the snack aisle so I bought them and ground up with a mix of raspberries and strawberries and that did the trick! I added a bit more ground beet powder as I went on to make them darker. These also taste amazing with bananas sliced on top too!
