Dudes, No Parents are playing some shows at the end of the month with Plague Vendor and Melted. Heres a poster i made for the LA gig. Melted / No Parents shows have honestly been some of my favorite shows this year.

Plague Vendor - Black Sap Scriptures

Some days, a gal really craves some ferocious garage punk\rock - and you know that’s exactly what you’re in for from the very first cymbal crash of Black Sap Scriptures.

This track from California’s Plague Vendor will get your heart racing and your head banging. Brandon Blaine’s cool mix of nonchalant and shouty vocals is the sweet icing on the cake.

It doesn’t hurt that the video brings back memories of watching Nick Cave dance around like a psychotic madman in one of my all time fave vids Nick The Stripper. Granted Blaine doesn’t have Cave’s crazy eyes but he is equally as shirtless and both videos give you a slightly unsafe and claustrophobic feeling, as if you are stuck in a lunatic asylum with a bunch of wild crazies. When you’re in the safety of your own home, watching it all on screen, that weird feeling can be pretty darn enjoyable.
