This is a what-if, what-could’ve-been, I-fully-acknowledge-this-didn’t-happen-for-legit-reasons, but dang, imagine how crazy PokeSpe SWSH could’ve been if we had a second serialization for the DLC content like in the olden days.
So imagine it’s mid-to-late 2020, maybe around the time when Sou meets Raihan in Hammerlocke, and we got a second run where Schilly’s in the Isle of Armor with Marvin and the other three rivals, on a mission looking for the Rusted Weapons. We’re enjoying both main characters’ individual stories, but there’s still that nagging feeling in the back as we’re wondering why Schilly’s with all of them and not Sou as the narrative is seemingly going out of its way to not mention him at all.
AND THEN COMES MAY 2022 AND IT TURNS OUT SOU GOT DRUGGED UP AND KIDNAPPED AND SCHILLY’S BEEN LOOKING FOR HIM THIS WHOLE TIME ALA FRLG AND EMERALD
Fu-u-u-u-u-udge, you have no idea how much I’m hoping that SWSH can actually keep going past 6 volumes and continue online when SV starts.
Not only would that be better for the story PLA WOULDN’T BE A FEVER DREAM WE’RE TACKLING SWSH DLC 2 YEARS AFTER THEY CAME OUT IN THE GAMES I AM OK WITH WAITING UNTIL MID 2023 FOR POKESPE TO ADAPT PLA

- I don’t see how we can cover both DLC locations and Sou’s beef in just one volume. TWO MORE VOLUMES. TWO MORE VOLUMES SWSH AND SV CAN RUN SIMULTANEOUSLY
- Okay, Sou’s not completely evil, but he’s drugged up and everything he said were likely still his true feelings. (dang I remember back when SM was running, I kept saying I wanted Moon to get infected with neurotoxins. I just had to wait another gen for it to happen to a different main character)
- Thankfully it’s looking like a small dose, but Raihan being hit as well will be a good chance to explore his fears and insecurities.
- Can we see Moon treating everyone later? Please?
- I wonder if Kusaka purposely put so much focus on Sou first knowing that the kid was going to be forcibly kicked out spotlight eventually.
- That being said, ooh, all the interactions between the kids that’ll be coming up…
- I hope when Mustard meets Bede, his old rivalry with Opal will be mentioned and we’ll see a flashback of both of them when they were younger.Spe did put in Milo and Gordie’s younger siblings from the concept art, I wanna see the young Opal from there too.
- I can’t wait to see Peony and Peonia!
- Avery’s uniform’s going to be a bitch to draw and tone.
- How are the DLC legendaries going to fit into the plot…
Alrighty, having one volume left before SV starts doesn’t seem like enough since we’re now covering the DLC stuff…
…
Would it be too much to hope that when November comes around, SV gets serialized in Ichiban while SWSH continues online or straight to volume?
