Story Idea: Polin #40 - Modern AU - Roomates/Pretend Dating
This wasn’t want she wanted to do. She left home thinking she’s going to be this big shot screenwriter for a tv show or a movie - instead she’s writing product placements for a tv show set in regency era but she has to somehow insert an energy drink somewhere between the viscount meeting his lover in secret and the duke and duchess boinking like crazy.
On top of that her sisters both let their significant other move into their 2 bedroom apartment and more often than not (although she’s paying for more than half the rent) she’s sleeping in the living room couch. So when her childhood friend/forever crush/unrequited love Colin Bridgerton offers his second bedroom in return for being his pretend live in girlfriend it seemed like a good idea at the time. Ok probably not.

Song writer Penelope Featherington was living a pretty quiet yet successful life. She has her best friends Eloise and Michael and her cat Lady Whistledown. She visits her family every other Tuesday where she catches up with her married sisters and endures her mothers backhanded compliments.
She was content with that.
And then her forever crush/unrequited love Colin Bridgerton walks back into her life asking to work with her for his comeback album.
He would never know the irony of him singing songs that she’s written about him.
Penelope Featherington was given a gift. Well, most people would call it a gift. She, however, detested the spectrum of colours that her eyes perceived.
