Last line tag

Tagged by @diphthongsfordays to share my last line written. I’m supposed to be revising Chapter 2 of Something Wicked, i.e. where a certain vampire gets broken up with, but my mind jumped to rewriting Chapter 4, the post-breakup.

Tws for depression and a mention of alcohol:

There were times when Caz didn’t realize he was depressed. At some unknown point, he’d fall into that hole, only to realize a decade in maybe drinking in his bathtub wasn’t something he could call a hobby.

This wasn’t one of those times. This was purposeful, a thick blanket of numbness so Caz wouldn’t have to address what had happened. That his girl really was gone.
