@nelldya was talking with me today and pointed out something interesting about the leaked character introductions for volume 27, specifically Porco’s. Here’s the comparison between volumes 24-26 and volume 27:
In his original introduction, the official translation reads,
“Porco fueds with Reiner over the struggle to inherit the armor, as well as about his older brother’s death.”
In volume 27, it’s changed to past tense,
“Porcofueded with Reiner over the struggle to inherit the armor, as well as about his older brother’s death.”
This is big, and all but confirms that the events that occurred during the attack on Liberio have had a major impact on Porco. Next time he shows up in the manga, we can likely expect him to be kinder to Reiner. Character development: acknowledged. Gallirei: confirmed.
