Dear President Obama,
Thank you.
Over 10 years ago, you inspired me not only because of the tone of your skin or the fact that you grew up without your father around, but because you simply asked me, us, to BE the change we want to see. Not to wait idly for a politician, an approved cultural leader or anyone else to take action on my behalf.
And after canvassing and registering voters in New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware…after finding my way to Denver to work on radio row for the DNC convention…after serving as an Organizing for America neighborhood leader (08 & 12)…after watching in amazement at that final 08 rally in Virginia, I was went from believing anything was possible, to knowing it.
For the last 8 years, you have served as a model for fathers and husbands. A model for patience, poise and strength.
Thank you for all of your selfless efforts to improve the quality of life for not only the United States, but the world.
Missteps and all, you’re the #goat
