Over the last few weeks I’ve been thinking, a lot…mainly about these new promos. It’s been a while since I’ve done a print mailing so I wanted to do something a little different- a very small and customized batch. When it comes to mail, even I don’t open most of what I get, so I wanted to make sure the packaging had some impact that’ll hopefully get a second look at the very least.

I love the feel of raw materials so I opted for some simple paper bags- on the backside I printed a high contrast, graphic image while on the front I designed labels for each recipient. I hand fed the bags through my printer twice (for the front + back), then stamped my logo, dropped in a couple cards that I found best suited the potential client, and for the final step ran them each through a sewing machine to seal.

The process took a lot of trial and error, patience, and ink, but was incredibly fun– especially since I love any opportunity to do some graphic design work.

Now, some more patience.
