“I didn’t even realize my arm was missing at first. My whole side felt warm, I thought my ribs were broken, or at least bruised - and I felt horribly off balance, like something was constantly pulling me to the left. Just without dizziness, the kind of dizziness I had gotten used to. Mind you, there’re quite a few things that went for humans’ and near-humans’ eardrums first just to disable them, because it’s one of our greatest weaknesses.
Honestly, there was no pain at all. It was like my body refused to realize what had happened - I even tried to pick up one of the blades with my right hand twice, and I could feel the movement, I could feel what it should have felt like to take the blade’s hilt, how heavy it should have been in my hand, but there was nothing. Everything from my shoulder down was simply gone.
I must’ve passed out from blood loss at some point, but the pain only started after the Druids had me strapped to their goddamn dissection table.”
I’m not even sorry you guys. But I should probably stop writing shit. :D
