My good friend Samoaphoenix (who helps with the reviews on Camelot’s Library) has been publishing a series of novellas retelling Beauty and the Beast adjacent fairytales in a post-WWI setting. Her most recent book (coming December 11th) is a retelling of of the Loathly Lady story and, while it takes place in Washington DC during the suffragette movement, it has several nods and easter eggs to the legend. It’s a delightful little stand alone story and a fun ready for anyone who’s a fan of the Loathly Lady romance.
