#regency balls
A Regency Era ball typically started at 9 or 10 at night and went on for like….8 hours. I have a coronary attack if someone says they want to start a movie at 8:30PM. Can you imagine having to socialize and dance and just…be around people for 8 whole hours? At night? When one could be sleeping? Absolutely not. Not for me. Call me the neighborhood hermit but you will not catch me out after 9pm. It sounds like an absolutely terrible time. #perhapsimMaryBennett
