Google News: Hmmm…what would a fat person want to read about? Oh, I know!

Don’t you just love when society assumes a fat person hates themself and believes fatphobic lies?

Oh really? So it’s the pandemic that caused her to gain the weight back and not the decades upon decades of research that have proved that no weight loss diet, drug, or surgery works in the long term?

This whole article was about how “amazing” these drugs were in “curing ob*sity” and at the very, very end of the article they finally disclose that, just like any other weight loss method, they don’t actually fucking work.

And then apparently they think it’s okay to be on starvation diets, weight loss drugs, and surgeons’ tables for a fat person’s entire life. They don’t even fucking stop to think “Hm, maybe fatness is a normal part of human diversity and doesn’t need to be changed?”

I’m looking at one of the studies and even if this drug did work in the long term (which it doesn’t), people only lose 15% of their body weight on average. 15% of 300 pounds is 45 pounds. So most fat people would STILL BE FAT even while taking this fucking drug! A 300 pound person would just be 255 pounds, which I can tell you, as someone in that range, still makes you a “fat ass” in the eyes of society.

It also sounds just like that fen phen stuff that The Maintenence Phase podcast talked about in depth.

Spoiler alert, that drug caused a lot of deaths.

did u know there are actually malls that dont have hot topic in them

Yeah the town closest to where I grew up didn’t have one.

Im still angry that I was robbed of the experience of being a mallrat and being addicted to hot topic.

A cat that every time it’s out of view, something is heard breaking, but nothings broken when you investigate

His name is Calcifer and he is my baby boy and I love him despite his constant chaos.

Am I old fandom?

At the ripe age of Tennant era?

People like ‘how do you know x’ and it’s like I can’t conceive of people not knowing about stuff like moffat’s deleted fanfics, or lawrence miles being king of the what we’d now call antis, or david teninch.

Ginger.

Outpost Gallifrey/Gallifreybase made me older than my years??? I don’t know??? Why don’t you know???

No, I can’t be old, it’s the children who are wrong.

Oooooh I feel you, I feel you so much on this. I wouldn’t say fandom old, this is reserved to people who were for the classics ^^’ I think we’re more like fandom adults xD

We are the same age and I don’t know any of these, simply bc I wasn’t in this fandom when these aired. I wasn’t in any fandoms when this aired, bc I didn’t know how to do internet fandom.

I don’t really know what fandom old even means. Like I get that its supposed to mean like “elder gay” kind of thing, but I’ve never really heard it used, so even if you are, idk if the younger generations would use the term.
