Being Pregnant With Steve Rogers’ Baby Would Include

While it may not have been 100% planned, when you found out, you were so happy.
You and Steve had talked about having a family and it was a welcome surprise.
You wanted to find the right moment to tell him, but with him being an avenger, the right moments never seemed to just fall into your lap.
But, when you did get a chance, you could tell he was just as ecstatic as you’d been at the news.
While he can’t be there for you all the time through your pregnancy, he checks in as many times as he’s able to make sure you’re doing okay.
You go shopping for baby stuff together in your downtime and have a lot of fun with it.
And, while Steve is no expert on the topic, he tries so hard to keep up with your cravings, and mood swings that you just know he’s going to be the best dad when the baby finally arrives.

A = Attachment (How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?)

She spoils you, gifts, excessive amounts of affection, the works. Pretty intense, but not quite obsessive.

B = Blood (How messy are they willing to get when it comes to you?)

As messy as she has to. She prefers it to remain clean, but if there really is no other way, then so be it.

C = Clingy (Do they require your attention at all times? How do they act when you ignore them?)

Not at all times, but often. She adores all the time you spend together and she does prefer it in abundance, but understands to an extent that it can’t be always.

D = Dependent (Are they codependent? Do they want you to rely solely on them for your care/protection?)

While she’s more than happy to play the role of caretaker, she does not demand that you rely solely on her. She doesn’t want to steal your independence from you.

E = Excess (Would they spoil or pamper you? To what extent?)

She would, definitely. If it was within her means to give to you, it would be yours.

F = Fatal (Would they kill you? Kill for you?)

It would take something extremely drastic for her to ever kill you, but killing for you is certainly not out of the question.

Her personal relationships. No more talking with Hannibal, any other friends or relatives nothing more than a memory if you asked her. She wants to be with just you.

H = Harsh (How do they take to you mouthing off to them or saying something they don’t want to hear?)

She doesn’t like it, but she keeps her cool. She knows you’re going to have differences and she does her best not to let it get to her.

I = Inseparable (What are they like when you’re not with them? Do they check in on you constantly, or feel lost without you?)

She checks in, but knows her limits in doing so. If she does it too often, you’ll stop responding just to spite her.

J = Jilted (How do they act when met with rejection from you?)

She will pretend it doesn’t effect her. But she will be devastated and probably quite angry.

K = Kidnap (Would they ever abduct you just to have you to themselves for a while?)

If you’d been ignoring her for a long time, then yes, that’s certainly a possibility.

L = Lines (Do they cross lines with you? What ones? Is it something they know they’re doing?)

She tries not to. It isn’t always easy or possible, but she really tries to keep respectful of your boundaries.

M = Manipulation (Would they manipulate you? How? And would you realize that’s what was happening?)

Perhaps a little, and she’d make sure you wouldn’t realize that she was doing it. She’s good at manipulating you when she has to, scary good.

N = Naive (Do they like you pliant or do they prefer you to challenge them?)

Mostly pliant, but a little challenge is fine with her. It shows you have spirit.

O = Ownership (Do they feel possessive of you? How do they act when you’re around others?)

She does feel possessive of you. She will hold tight to you in a big crowd, because she hates strangers being near you. People she knows, she can manage better, but strangers are less predictable.

P = Petulant (Are they moody? Easy to anger? Or are they patient and forgiving around you?)

She’s very patient and forgiving around you. It’s not easy to anger her. Rile her up perhaps, but not true anger.

Q = Quit (Would they quit any of their behaviors for you if you asked?)

She would, she’d try her damnedest to change for you, to be who you wanted her to be.

R = Rules (Would they have rules for you? Brainwash you? Teach you the right way to be theirs?)

Loose rules perhaps, ones her mood would decide whether she enforced or not.

Bedelia would stalk you, but only in the beginning of her fascination with you. Or if she suspected you weren’t being honest with her.

She only wishes for you to love her. She adores you and wants those feelings to be reciprocated.

U = Utopia (How much effort do they put into making you happy?)

That’s all she wants and she’ll go to any length to provide that for you so you’ll love her.

Not unless it was consensual. If you wanted her to be rough with you or hurt you then she’d indulge you.

Not unless you force her hand. She wants you to have your freedom, but if she feels you’ve betrayed her, she might keep you inside for a time and not let you out.

To a certain extent. It’s more just a deep love than worship. But she would go to any length to win you over.

Elizabeth Collins Fluff Alphabet

A = Aroma (What do they smell like?)

Hyacinth and Cucumber, also perhaps a tiny bit of Eucalyptus.

She mainly sticks to Dear as her primary term of endearment. She doesn’t use them a lot to begin with, but she knows that hearing it always makes you smile.

Elizabeth really isn’t a big cuddler, but she doesn’t mind having your head rest in her lap.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? What would they think about living together?)

She’d move you in, day one. It’s not necessarily about settling down so quickly, but she’s busy and having you in Collinwood just makes sense to her.

She’ll doze off when she’s reading. Her glasses will be about to fall off the bridge of her nose and she’ll just look so adorable that you don’t want to disturb her.

Meeting in passing on and off, and taking meals together when you can. Always dinner though. Elizabeth always makes sure she can spend dinner time with you if nothing else.

She’s very protective, but she doesn’t fear much getting at you in Collinwood. She’ll hold your hand out in public just as a way to assure herself that you’re there and safe.

A decent amount of effort. She doesn’t favor being flashy, but you can always tell the loving effort she put into something for your sake.

Sing to you. She doesn’t have the greatest singing voice, but you seem to like it when she sings quietly to you after having overheard her in the shower once.

It’ll take her a while to get really comfortable with you and open up. As long as you’re patient and don’t push her, it’ll come in time.

Selina Meyer Angst Alphabet

A = Anger (what are they like when they’re angry?)

Selina likes to throw things, fling things off tables, etc. She hardly ever aims at anyone or anything while doing this, but it’s best not to be too close anyway.

B = Break Up (if they had to, how would they break up with you?)

She’d either just completely ghost you or set up something very formal and almost scripted to make sure you knew this had to be the end of things.

C = Cry (how often do they cry? do they cry over little things?)

She cries an average amount, probably still not as much as she should though. She bottles it up until it comes out as anger sometimes.

D = Debt (how do they make it up to you when they’ve done something wrong?)

She’ll leave you a gift of something she knows you enjoy and don’t often get for yourself, and it’ll come with a note. A simple sorry, or please forgive me.

E = Entrapment (how would they react to you being kidnapped?)

She’d go into full freak out mode. She’d have her staff giving her updates constantly and be a nervous wreck until there was news and she had a way to get you back safely.

F = Fear (how badly do they fear losing you? do they fear for you somehow losing them?)

She definitely fears losing you, as things always tend to go wrong for her, but she tries not to let it get to the forefront of her mind.

G = Grief (if you were to die, how would they react?)

She’d be the one to pay for your funeral. She’d absolutely insist upon it. She’d wear black for months and think about you constantly in her her downtime.

H = Heartbreak (what would it take to break their heart?)

Telling her that you can’t play second fiddle to her career. She wouldn’t know what to do, and that would definitely break her.

I = Insensitive (how do they act when they know they’ve said something that upset you?)

She’ll stew with her words on her own for a while before coming to apologize. She wants to just undo it, but she knows it’s not that simple.

J = Jerk (when can they tell you’re mad at them? do either of you resort to name calling?)

You both resort to name calling at times. She brings it out in you. You typically are able to laugh about it later.

K = Knife (how do they feel about hurting others? physically or emotionally?)

Emotionally, she certainly doesn’t mind, as long as they’ve done something to deserve it, but she isn’t someone who’d hurt someone physically, at least not on purpose and she does feel guilty about doing it on accident.

L = Liar (are they a good liar? how often do they lie to you?)

She’s a great liar, comes with her line of work. She tries not to lie to you however, though even that isn’t always possible.

M = Maudlin (how do you cheer them up when they’re feeling sad?)

Run her a bath and light a nice candle. Give her a mini vacation at home and she’ll usually cheer right up.

N = Never (what would they do if they knew they could never be with you?)

She’d move on, simple as that. Though that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t still think of you and what could have been from time to time.

O = Oath (what happens when you break a promise? how do they take it?)

She usually takes it pretty well, unless it was something she was really looking forward to. She knows she really can’t be mad though because she’s been known to break more promises than you.

P = Pressure (how do they handle stress? how do you help them relax?)

She handles stress rather poorly, but that’s probably just because she has so damn much of it. You just have to take her aside and get her to focus on something else for a minute to help her get through it.

Q = Quiet (do they ever give you the silent treatment? how do they react when you give it to them?)

Selina is pretty much incapable of being silent and if you were to give the silent treatment her she likely wouldn’t even notice with everything else going on.

R = Rejection (how would they take it if you were to reject them?)

She’d be upset, but would shake it off quickly enough with a thousand other things to distract her.

S = Self Doubt (what are they insecure about?)

She’s insecure about many things. She actually has imposter syndrome, so it makes her always think that she’s not good enough and you’ll eventually see that and leave her.

T = Triangle (what would they do if they were caught in a love triangle with you? would they fight for you or give you up?)

Selina would fight, just to prove she can win. Even if she thought the other person was better for you, she’d enjoy the competition.

U = Unloved (what would you do to make sure they felt loved?)

Spend as much time with her as possible. With her schedule, even five minutes can be just the quality time she needs with you to feel cared for.

V = Vault (do they keep their emotions sealed tight, or do they let them out openly?)

A little of both actually. Most of her emotions she’s just fine putting on display in front of others, but some, like her feelings of insecurity, she keeps to herself or her alone time with you. She never wants people to see her too vulnerable.

W = Wound (how do they react when you’ve been injured?)

She’d demand you be taken for the best care and want to be kept constantly informed on how you were recovering until she can check on you herself.

X = X Lovers (what happens when they’re confronted with an ex of yours?)

Selina gets real defensive and shows off/brags. It usually doesn’t come off as well as she’d like it to, but it’s the only thing she can think to do when feeling threatened.

Y = Yell (how often do fights occur? how bad do they get?)

Semi-often, but they never usually last long, nor are they typically very serious.

Z = Zestless (what happens if you lose that initial spark with them?)

You’d part amicably, promise to remain friends/stay in touch, but eventually just stop talking altogether.

Everyday Superhero - Tony Stark

Summary: An early morning mission takes Tony away from you for most of the day, so you occupy your time until he comes home safe.

Word Count: 1,426

Warnings: Pregnant!Reader, very minor angst, mostly just domestic fluff

It was still early, only a little after eight in the morning, though it felt so much later because you’d been up on and off all night. Though you doubted your husband had even been to bed at all. Tony’s side of the bed had been empty every single time your unborn baby had woken you and demanded you use the bathroom. Just like Tony knew how to push your buttons, his baby knew how to push on your bladder.

After one last attempt at going back to sleep, you were next woken by Tony’s soft whisper in your ear. “Romanoff has some intel. HYDRA related. I’ll be back as soon as I can.” Once he acknowledged that you’d been awake enough to hear him, he left the bedroom, but you weren’t about to let him go so easily.

Having decided sleep would be evading you for some time, you sat up and stretched before waddling out to the kitchen where you smelled Tony making himself a cup of coffee before he left. “You shouldn’t tease me like that, Stark. You know I can’t have coffee in the mornings anymore, now the kitchen is going to smell like that all day.”

“You didn’t have to get up,” he replied, more concerned for your well-being and the baby’s than your pouting over his caffeine intake.

“Sleep was useless anyways. You know how it is, especially since I hit my third trimester.”

Tony nodded once and took a sip of his coffee. You looked on with envy. How you missed your morning dose of caffeine, but it wouldn’t be too long now before you could have it again. You spent a few minutes there together in silence, you having taken a seat at the kitchen island as Tony stood next to you, leaning himself against the counter top. It was only when he sat down his mug that either of you uttered another word.

“Promise me you’ll come back safe,” you broached.

“Don’t I always,” Tony quipped, his natural self confidence sparking to life after the hit of caffeine kicked in.

“I mean it. I’m carrying your child here, Tony, and I don’t want it to be fatherless before it’s even born.”

“I promise I’ll be careful. Should be a simple mission. It’s not universe threatening or anything.” Despite his reassurance, you couldn’t help but worry. Though, you knew that was the best you were going to get from him. With a quick peck on the lips, Tony bid you goodbye. You watched him until he was out of sight and then licked your lips, the taste of his coffee subtly lingering on them, only giving you a ghost of a taste of the beverage you missed so much. And even that was gone almost as soon as he was.

You spent your day doing some light housework, dusting mostly, as that didn’t require too much strenuous work. Sitting doing nothing all day only caused you to worry about Tony more, so you had to keep busy somehow, while also not overworking yourself.

A little after midday, you had to stop what you were doing, for an unexpected wave of pain hit you. The suddenness of it knocked the breath from your lungs and you had to prop yourself up with a hand on the kitchen counter. You were just about to stop for lunch when it happened. Naturally, a thousand things ran through your mind. You recalled the day’s date, and calculated how long it was until you were due, and it was still a couple weeks. Though that didn’t stop you from worrying that the baby was going to come early and Tony wasn’t even here.

As another pain washed over you several minutes later, though a lesser one than before, you really got worried. You were about to have this baby and your shithead of a husband was out being a hero when he should be here with you. As the pain passed, you realized that was unfair of you. He was just trying to keep the world safe for you and for everyone. Besides, you didn’t even know for sure if you were in labor or not. Even if you were, it was hardly his fault. You grabbed a small snack and walked yourself to the couch, letting yourself rest and hoping the pains would pass.

Within an hour, you were back to normal. Too much walking around trying not to worry about Tony must have done it. Between the exercise and the stress, you overworked yourself. Looks like you’d be keeping your feet up until Tony finally got home.

After the pains had long passed, you ate your snack, thankful you’d grabbed it so as to not have to get back up and make a proper meal at the moment. Once it was gone, you nodded off not long after, having been more tired than you realized.

“I made it home in one piece. More or less.” These were the first words you heard followed by the door shutting behind Tony as he came back home. You opened your eyes to the twilight sky out the window before casting your eyes over to focus on the clock. You’d been asleep on the couch for the last six or so hours. You felt a bit of a crick in your neck, but all things considered, it could be worse. At least you’d gotten some rest.

You sat up and cast a glance over your shoulder where Tony was already rifling for something in the fridge. You got up and went over to him. “How’s my favorite superhero,” you asked, happy to see him safe and sound.

“No worse for wear than usual,” he replied.

“So terrible then,” you joked.

“Funny. I see you haven’t lost your sense of humor since I left.” You smiled at him as he pulled some leftovers out of the fridge. “How’ve you been?”

“Fine. Thought I was in labor for a while, but it was just Braxton Hicks. Dusting and worrying about you obviously wasn’t good for me, but I sat down and everything went back to normal.”

“You should have called,” Tony said, downing a shot of something he’d poured himself while you were getting up. He seemed to purposely be keeping you on his right side, and he was a fool if he thought you wouldn’t notice. Before he could protest more about not contacting him, even if it hadn’t been an emergency, the microwave beeped. You stopped him short of reaching for the handle of it and took Tony’s face into your hand and turned it to see his left side. Sure enough, there was a small cut on his cheek.

“Did you even get this seen to,” you asked, knowing full well that he didn’t.

“It’s a scratch,” Tony argued, not wanting you to have to go to any trouble to fix him up.

“A scratch that needs to be properly cleaned and bandaged. Eat. I’ll get the first aid kit. And save me a few bites why don’t you?” You wandered off to the bathroom, procuring the first aid kit and came back out to your stubborn husband. Tony held still as you cleaned the small cut and put a bandaid over it. It really wasn’t all that bad, you’d seen him come home with much worse, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t still get infected.

He passed you the container of leftovers when you’d finished patching him up and you ate what was left. “You planning on coming to bed tonight,” you asked him as you got up to put the container in the sink.

“If I don’t fall asleep on this counter first,” he quipped.

“Come on,” you urged, deciding for the both of you that it was bedtime. You both spent a few minutes doing everything that was necessary before getting under the covers and letting your bodies relax after the day you’d both had. Tony looked exhausted, as he should be with no sleep followed by a half day long mission. You think he’s going to be asleep by the time you even make it to bed, but he’s not. Though he’s barely got his eyes open he puts his arm over you as you get into bed. He’s about to nod off when he sleepily says, “You know, you’re the real superhero.”

You crack a smile and whisper back, “I know. I love you too, Tony.” By the time you’d gotten the words out, he was already asleep.

Gonna try something, that will hopefully motivate me to write more. On the 13th of each month, I’m going to post a small list of word and music prompts. I picked 13 because it’s my favourite number, I know it’s a tad of an awkward number but y’all will just have to deal. Obviously if you have a request that has nothing to do with the prompts still fire away, but idk this might help inspire me a little more.

Anyway, here are this months prompts;
