You’re Good Enough pt2
- Request by @bvbwestfall Reader and Kayce wake up in the morning to Beth messing with them before Kayce asks her out
Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I feel a warm chest beside me. Lifting my head up a little I see Kayce asleep beside me making me realize I’m in his bed. Seconds later I feel my head splitting opened from last night’s drinking event. Normally I don’t drink that much so now I’m paying for it. “Hmm, mornin’.” Kayce’s morning voice makes me jump a little because it’s a lot deeper than his normal tone. He chuckled still not awake yet but pulled me into his chest. I wrap my arms around him snuggling in right before the door gets kicked open and a phone camera sounds off. “What the - Beth!” I croaked out now being fully awake.
“I knew it. I knew it. Finally you two scoundrels got together.” She cheers jumping around before Kayce reaches under the bed flinging one of his boots at her making her run out of the room. “Beth!” He grumbled flopping on his back glaring at the ceiling. I pull the covers down my blushing face staring at him. “She’s gonna be tellin’ the whole ranch now.” I groaned lifting myself up on my elbows where he rolled over to face me too. He tucks hair behind my ear seeing my discomfort getting up and giving me pain medicine for my hangover. “So…how exactly did I embarrass myself last night?” I trailed off lightly blushing seeing him getting embarrassed too.
It’s no secret that we have been flirting a lot. He’s no longer dating Monica who he met at a bar and had a son named Tate. “You asked why hadn’t I asked you out yet?” He rubbed the back of his neck blushing. Burying my face in the pillows I feel my cheeks heating up like a tomato until he moves my hair making me look at him. Kayce lifts my chin up slowly leaning in. “Tell me if you want me to stop, Y/n..” He closed the gap kissing me slowly before I wrapped my arms around his neck deepening it. He smiled against the kiss rolling onto his back pulling me ontop of him. Breaking the kiss I grin down at him, his fingers running through my hair. “I’d love to date you…I just thought I wasn’t good enough.” Kayce explained weakly.
“Kayce Dutton, you’re crazy if you think you’re not good enough for me. Yes you have a past from being in the war. But you have a loving heart for your family. So you are more than enough for me.” I grinned pulling his lips onto mine feeling his hands go into my hair. He rolled me onto my back hovering above me smirking. “I’ll never get tired of kissing you, Y/n.” I mumbled chuckling as I pulled him towards me with the collar of his shirt. “I’ll never get tired of calling you my boyfriend, Kayce.” He pressed his lips onto mine and we pretty much stayed attached to the hip almost for the next couple of months.
