Retaking a photograph wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when Lily called to plan a get together. It’s been about….. 1.5 years since we’ve seen each other, and we did live in other cities, so doing this was normal, I’d say.

Until I saw her. Kayla and I hardly recognized her, and the ensuing photograph still plays at my insecurities of feeling…..inadequate.
