Bruce(2016) E03

In this darkly comic tale of a convict in 1780s Australia, a convict (the titular Bruce, played by Richard Davies) is whipped while tied kneeling to a whipping post. He’s pretty bloody and drooling while he’s whipped and his comrades, who’ve already had a turn at the post, bicker about how well he’s taking his licks. One of the convicts suggests the flogger needs to go harder, as Bruce is getting off lightly, which earns him a slap across his whipped back.
