#rot pot

I’m getting into vulture culture and found a dead starling (no injuries at all!) outside three days ago.

(Self reminder bit!) I buried it in a rot pot/container yesterday, May 5.

I’m technically not supposed to have brought it in my house… but.. I think it’s a bit too late to follow that rule. I really wish I had cut off and mummified the wings, but I’m too much of a beginner to even think of cutting off bird wings. (Maybe someday I’ll have the courage…) I’ll have to try that with my next find since I buried the entire bird! (I just want the skull but can not fathom the thought of cutting off a bird’s head)

Let’s just hope there isn’t too much stink coming from the tiny hidden dead bird garden..
